  1. ^ So if Apex was just leasing the park and another company owns the land, yeah I'd agree that it's more likely the rides are just going to be sold off.
  2. YES! Knowing Fuji-Q, this coaster is going to be earth-shattering. I'm very excited to hear details soon.
  3. This looks fantastic! I'd love to ride a coaster with this layout that has Church / Prior style trains
  4. I'm getting my first job this year so parks are going to be a little less Six Flags Great America (home park) Six Flags Over Texas Frontier City (maybe) Mt. Olympus Michigan's Adventure (maybe) Hopefully I'll have raised enough money from my job by the end of the year to do a small weekend trip, so I'll definitely update this thread if my parents and I can come to an accord.

  6. Panic Coaster Back!? Daaan!! What a great name
  7. ^ Really? I've never heard anyone call it a coaster. Batman at Great America a few weeks back for me. It's running so goddamn fast this year, it feels like Nemesis in some places!
  8. I think Adventureland in Iowa. It'd be another large steel coaster to go with Monster and Dragon, but this one focuses on airtime rather than inversions. Personally I think it'd be a great fit there And if that doesn't work, I think a Hyper GT-X like Lightning Run would work just as great.
  9. Funny how all of my Top 5 coasters are in your Top 10 1. Expedition GeForce 2. Lightning Rod 3. Steel Vengeance 4. Voyage 5. Coaster (PNE) 6. Outlaw Run 7. Storm Chaser 8. X2 9. Nemesis 10. Millennium Force
  10. Sorry for the bump but I had to share this list https://www.thetravel.com/top-six-flags-roller-coasters/?fbclid=IwAR3aNQtyamTRpgdWpLab6F9fQzB_fQF_ZR5gMT1hkWi12JEk2pKcXjwXq7g
  11. Batman The Ride clones have become very underrated. I've had enthusiast friends recently say things like they're "rough" and "sucky" and some even say "boring" but the one at SFGAm in specific has been HAULING ASS this year, with some forces on the level of Raptor and nearly countering the likes of Montu and Nemesis. Just because something is cloned doesn't mean it's bad.
  12. 1. Nemesis 2. Montu 3. Raptor 4. Batman The Ride (SFGAm) 5. Chinese Fireball Others I've ridden: Banshee, Hungarian Horntail, Batman at SFOG, SFSL, SFMM
  13. I rode Maxx Force, Meow Wolf Kaleidescope at Elitch, and Phoenix at Adventureland this year, all of which were fun rides.
  14. Based on former experience in ACE talking to a lot of people who claim they are Golden Ticket Awards voters (a lot of the voters are in ACE, by the way), many of them say their favorite coaster is "the one they are currently riding," and that's nice, but when you're forming a ballot, that doesn't quite work. But seeing as the same coasters get the same high placements year after year, I think there is a little more bias than I've been led to believe. Also, knowing who ACE is with the whole preservation initiative, they love the classic parks and coasters with a lot of history, which might have something to do with specific biases.
  15. *breathes fresh air* Oh good, nothing hinting at an RMC Eagle. In all seriousness, this looks pretty awesome. I'm glad to see my home park is finally getting something new at Hurricane Harbor, since we haven't gotten anything new there since Riptide Bay in 2011!
  16. To be honest, after Jersey Devil and Six Flags Over Texas Powersplash (can't remember the name already) this is what I'm next most excited for this year on a spiritual level. When I was just getting into coasters the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie with that type of ride came to theaters and I've wanted to ride one ever since, and they've all been upcharge. I really hope this and the one at Great Escape don't cost money, because I can finally tick this ride off my bucket list.
  17. It's not always Six Flags fault. We have the footage too, it was sent to a NUMBER of outlets under embargo (which means you wait to post it until they tell you). It's nice because we can get everything ready this way and not have to freak out tomorrow morning doing a ton of work. But then a few idiots ruin it for everyone when they post early! I hope Six Flags takes action against the people that post early! A bit of a general question with announcements, what all do the parks send you with new rides, besides photos and animations?
  18. While not the most significant thing ever, I must correct you and say that they use it for Music in the Parks for school bands/choirs.
  19. Holy sh*t! I did NOT expect this to happen, but WOW that looks great! Edit: is it Intamin? It looks like Intamin track style
  20. Would've been Outlaw at Adventureland on Sunday. Surprisingly fun wooden coaster for its size, though it's definitely in need of some new track.
