Would you apply to this college or send your kids here??
testtrack321 replied to AWill961's topic in Random, Random, Random
There's a difference between having a strict social rule set and being bat shit insane. I mean, really, allowing kids to write up other students, allowing anyone to come into your room and demand the bed to be made even if you're in it, etc. It's crazy. -
^At first I was scared that the screens were only the size of the projection, but pulling out you see they're much bigger. Lets hope they use that size. I'm still a person who prefers the physical AAs, effects, and sets to projections any day (that's why I think MiB is still better than TSMM) but I am willing to give this one a try. Heck, with it's size, I think they could easily add it to UO again...

The rules seem to be out of date by 13 years. The site pictures kids violating their own rules of dress, behavior, and standards. To quote Ned Flanders "I do the stuff that even contradicts the other stuff!" Looking up more info and found a good article on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pensacola_Christian_College Personally I don't care if someone wants to go to a college that thinks it's ok to illegally go through your stuff, cut off freedom of speech, and play games with your personal and professional life. I DO care that they pass themselves off as a legitimate higher education establishment when they are in fact not accredited because of their insane filtering and anti-discussion rules. That hurts my degree from a legitimate university. -
There's a difference between Spongebob and Harry Potter. A big difference. And Shrek is not a "kids" movie. It's an animated movie. Why do people insist on labeling these movies like this? Calling it a "kids movie" makes it seem harmless and inconsequential. "It could be a normal movie that's worth my time...oh... except it's a kid's movie. Oh well." Saying that it's for kids takes away the power that it can have. EDIT: Think of Disneyland. I'd go farther and say that no entertainment is created in a vacuum. Everything has an adult leaning bit of humor, intellect, story telling, or whatever. You mention Spongebob, I know adults who love Spongebob, including myself. I have personally gotten more out of some of that humor than some of the "adult" humor TV shows or movies. I DO agree that calling something a kids movie is trying to dismiss it totally without discussion. It's like calling someone a fanboi, it's a dismissive argument that doesn't add anything to the conversation and tries to take away all power from the opposite party. I give "kids movies" more respect and props than something like Transformers because it has more work to do to keep EVERYONE entertained and speak on multiple levels.

That's way too long to wait for fire. The slow part of Illuminations drives me nuts for the same reason: I'm not a show person to begin with, so having to stand through what I consider to be slow parts of the show nearly puts me to sleep before the fire barge decides to be awesome. Ugh. First no fire, then it's too far into the show? Again, in this test run of the show it was not presented in order and you didn't see all the projections, special effects, etc. Wait to see it in Paradise Park in June before you make up your mind and call it Bellagio with color.

I have to say, I LOVE that new WWoC theme song. It's so poppy lol. Also, what I'm hearing around the webs is that this is NOT the final show and is NOT the final order. There are missing scenes, there are not in order, and all the effects are not done. There will be plenty more surprises! The world is a carousel of color....

It only took 5 years but I finally have 150 posts. Can I has a custom title? Preferably about World of Color and I'm a Disney nerd. I'll leave the creativity/cruelty up to you.

Hell, yes. Awesome song. Great band. Had to slowly explain to my room mate that the goth chick wearing the Bad Religion tshirt isn't anti-Catholic or Satanic, but likes the band. Ah good times.

Splash in a shot of butterscotch shnapps and it may end up being more along the lines of what Rowling originally intended. Disclaimer: I am in no way suggesting anyone should do this in the park. I REALLY want Universal to offer an alcoholic version in the sit down restaurant. REALLY BADLY. Also, LET THE BATTLE OF THE FISH AND CHIPS STANDS COMMENCE! EPCOT VS HARRY POTTER!

This hour long experience thing is a flawed concept. Tower of Terror, using this view, would be easily a half hour experience. The old DD the same, even back all the way to the interactive queue from Indiana Jones at DL. A line is a line, no matter how many immersive video screens and rooms there are. We've heard this before and hope for their sake UO can actually make it happen finally.

Excuse my ignorance, but what was the official reason of removal for BBW? Was there ever one? I don't remember BGW responding much beyond "it's going away". -
the Matches, my favorite band and just an overall kick ass logo

Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread

Three thoughts.... 1.) Who would have thought that the state side parks would be getting huge new E-Tickets and dark rides, while TDL will get a spinner? 2.) Even their spinners look awesome! 3.) It's going to take OVER A YEAR to put this in? WTF?
