Okay, so one of my friends showed me this animated short and I laughed to hard I fell out of my chair and cried. Unfortunately, when I showed this to everyone else they just thought it was stupid. Watch this clip and let me know... is it just me? Or does no one I know have a sense of humor? http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/avocado.php

Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
Spookbaby replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
THANK GOD.... I love drop rides... and after what a disspointment Xcaliber (ONE FREAKIN ROTATION!) was I cannot wait! -
Also, I have us down for 2 days at Paramount Kings Dominion and 2 days at Six Flags Great America. Should I forfeit one of the two days at PKD to go to Kennywood AND Hershey Park?
-
Yeah I hope the rides won't be to bad. We are going at the end of August during the week. That was a great idea about Knoebels and the going to Hershey after 5pm but we don't wanna be rushed. We want to have time to enjoy all the parks. Now I'm way conflicted about Hershey and Kennywood. We could hit both.... what would the pro's and con's of each be? P.S. I found a promotional video on Kennywoods website that was a big help... does Hershey have anything like that?
-
We thought about that but we wanted to go somewhere we had never been... it's a nice thought though but we cant afford it!
-
Yeah, well I'm not really concerned with the coaster count as much as I am the memories. Also, all I really care about (coaster count wise) is that I reach riding my 100th coaster which it attainable whether we go to Hershey Park or Kennywood I'm over the 100 mark. Oooooohhh which makes for another good question! My 100th coaster is going to be at SFGAdv! Which coaster should be my 100th!?
-
WOW! You guys are such a great help! And thanks for the tip about the restraunts... I will def. keep that in mind! So far right now I'm dumping Dorney and Geauga Lake... keeping BGW, PKD, and SFGAdv... so Kennywood, Hershey Park, or Kneobels... hmmmm.... okay lets do this if I go to Kennywood will I regret not going to Hershey Park? Or vice versa? From what I've seen Hershey Park has more rides but Kennywood has the better atmosphere... true or false? THANKS FOR ALL THE CONGRATULATIONS!

I don't mind you nosey question at all Our budget is around $1600. That includes gas, food, lodging, park tickets, and spending money. Thanks to discounted online tickets (can save up to $21 a ticket online for SFGAdv) and the discounted rates on expedia.com we are staying at some nice hotels for under $100 bucks a night. They also all include a free breakfast so there is one free meal that day. Also, I'm a big fan of leaving for a half hour and grabbing lunch outside the park. It doesn't take long, our parking spot is usually still there (because no one bothers to drive around the whole parking lot looking for a spot), and its much cheaper. The most expensive thing this entire trip is probably going to be gas. Unfortunatly we do not have a Cedar Fair pass... we do have a Holiday World one though, we're still debating about stopping by there for a quick ride on the Voyage, Raven, and Legend. Man you guys... your confusing me now! Do I go to Dorney, Kennywood, Hersheypark, or Knoebels??? So far I think it's a tie between Hersheypark and Kennywood! Any other ideas? (YOU GUYS ARE SUCH A GREAT HELP! THANKS SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!)

Yeah, I'm so not dropping BGW! I'm dying to ride Curse of Darkastle! The only reason I'm excited about Tomb Raider Firefall is because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Tomb Raider at PKI. Another reason I'm leaning toward Kennywood though is because I'm also a huge dark ride fan. I know Noah's Ark is old but I hear it's a classic. Any other thoughts you guys???

We were originally going to do disney but we've already been there about 10 times seeing as my parents have a time share in orlando. We road trip whores and we wanted to take a really fun one to all parks that we hadn't been to before. Okay so from your comments so far I'm not hitting Geauga Lake anymore, and now I'm torn between Hershey and Kennywood (I can only pick FOUR parks! ... due to budget issues because we are buying a house!) But why not stop at PKD? I figured it was worth the stop for Hypersonic, Tomb Raider Firefall, and Volcano: The Blast Coaster. ANy other thoughts? P.S. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR RESPONSES! THEY'RE HELPING A GREAT DEAL!!!!

I'm getting married this July and OF COURSE my groom to be is an amusement park freak too (it was part of my criteria for the man I was gonna marry... no really, I'm serious) Anywho, we are taking a ROAD TRIP (gotta love 'em) to FOUR parks that we've never been to before. We are starting from our hometown in Illinois and headed to the east coast. Right now our agenda includes: Paramount Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Six Flags great Adventure..... and then.... nothing. We want a park we where we can easily stop and stay the night and that is on the way home from Six Flags Great Adventure. We've done Cedar Point, Paramount Kings Island, and Holiday World so right now my I'm teetering between Kennywood and Geauga Lake. I'm very nostalgic and a parks atmoshpere could make or break a theme park for me so I think I'm leaning towrds Kennywood. Which one would you choose? Or is there another park you would reccommend? Thanks you guys

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
Spookbaby replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The best endings: Are for sure The Beast (SHUT UP you can't deny how wicked awesome that helix is!) and Magnum at CP (those bunny hills still make my stomach go into my throat every time I ride it!)! Also, I know this isn't "technically" a ride but the ending to Poseidon's Fury is also a big winner with me The worst ending: hahahahahahahaAdventureExpresshahahahahaha.... oh wait, that endings not a supposed to be a joke? Because I certainly think it is! My other worst ending had to be Mission Space... but that's probably because everyone in my pod got sick :? -
Yeah, I'm going to have to go with TTD as well. Were there for 5 days and it was closed for the first four. On our last day it opened and since we were staying at the Breakers Resort we got in early. Yeah, ummm... my first ride on TTD was the scariest damn thing I've ever done. We got first train, front row (after it had been broken down for 5 days), and after all the tests had been nothing but roll-backs. Ummmm, yeah... they rolled us out there and those first few moments where you're waiting for the stoplight to go... Shall I reinact those moments for you? "(yellow light)... oh my god..... (yellow light).... crap...... (yellow light) ..... damnit..... (green light) OOOoooohhhhh SHHHHHH........"

What Ride makes you Nervous the Most?
Spookbaby replied to Thrillrider15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Either Mummy at Orlando (I had to ride it 6 times before I "officially" rode it with my eyes open then whole time) and TTD... there's nothing like sitting front row, first train to run after being closed for 5 days, watching none of the test trains clear the hill, being pulled out, looking at that hill, and WAITING for those goddamn lights to turn... AHHHHHH!!!! -
OMG YES! SHUT UP I love that channel!!! Do you think old people smell funny?

Mitch Hedburg Dane Cook- SOMEONE SHIT ON THE COATS!

I saw Harry Potter ( I loved it and I'm a loser, I know ) I also saw "Just Friends" which lasted a little long and if you don't wanna pay to see it in theaters you should at least rent it. There is more then a fair share of "laugh out loud" moments." P.S. Has anyone else seen the previews for "Final Destination 3?" It's about a roller-coaster that crashes! There's NO WAY IN HELL I would ever go see it!
