  1. Yeah, I know that I heard that Scooby Doo was going to be open for Winterfest so I wouldn't know why all their indoor attractions wouldnt be open (e.g. Flight of Fear, Tomb Raider, etc).
  2. haha awesome I love that ride. Course I mainly like that ride because we told my Mom it was a slow moving attraction (such as the great movie ride) and she didn't know what she was in for until she saw the train take off... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  3. One time a while ago while on a youth group trip to Six Flags St. Louis my friend was dared to pull Foghorn Leghorn's tail and run off and she did (it wasn't a hard pull just enough to qualify fufilling the dare, the character didn't even feel it) but a Six Flags employee who was an older woman told her that she would have to apologize. It was hilarious to watch my friend have the lady walk her over to the character and apologize to a huge Forhorn-Leghorn costume!
  4. Hey... I am an ACEr and while I do enjoy theme parks, gravy, and The Beast... I do not post on Coasterbuzz, wear tube socks, nor am I 400 lbs. but I am a beautiful species thank you very much... (I hope you know I'm just teasing)
  5. OMG... That's the most AWESOME DRAK RIDE EVER! Or that I've ever been on for that matter. Turkey call??? GENIUS! *Muah*
  6. OMG! Are you people crazy! If they're going to do an entire show on a ride Expedition Everest is clearly the best choice! The Voyage is my second choice but I think that EE looks like more of an experience. I am so crazy excited about EE and I would probably go nuts if they actually chose to do this on EE!!!! Expedition Everest hands down!
  7. My fiancee thinks I'm crazy but Expedition is one of the main reasons we're honeymooning at Disneyworld Laura "planned her honeymoon around Expedition Everest" Huls
  8. So BGW is the WORST choice?
  9. We only can afford to do one park. If you could pick ONLY ONE which one would you do... one of the reasons I chose BGW though is I'm excited about Curse of DarKastle
  10. I searched "roller coaster montages" and I ended hooked to Rob and Elissa's hilarious videos!
  11. Some friends and I want to take a trip to a totally awesome amusement park trip for Spring Break. We are poor college students to we need a park that is one days driving distance from Champaign, Illinois. Also, the friends we are meeting up with are from Georgia Tech so it has to be a days wirth drive for them too. We only want to go to ONE park. We are planning on a doing the theme park for two days and them something else for the third day and driving back on the fourth day. Right now we are thinking of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Is this a good choice or does anyone else have a better selection??? Help!
  12. 1) Revenge of the Mummy...I was hooked after the fourth time I rode it (because thats how many times it took me to ride it with my eyes open). 2) The Beast... hard to beat in my opinion, especially if you ride it at night! 3) Top Thrill Dragster... first row? wow... however, first row when it just starts to rain OWWWWW :? 4) The Hulk... that take-off? Crazy  5) The Legend... I heart airtime 6) The Raven... ditto 7) Raging Bull... awesome first drop and could those seats BE any more comfortable? Plus, I was proposed to on it 8) Screaming Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis... a classic, NEVER a bad ride 9) Kraken... smooth, fun, and I loved the layout 10) Amazing Adventures of Spiderman... you know that part where Hobgoblin throws the pumpkin and Spiderman deflects it and it hits the wall and bursts into flame? AWESOME... yay for fire
  13. ONe time on a really fricken hot day in July me and my dad and my sister and best friend rode it and our car stopped short of the trigger that would make us drop down so we could roll back into the station and we had to lay there, on our backs, in the fricken hot heat while they waited for a matainence man to come (why they had to wait for a maintainence man I don't know) and push us 2 freakin' inches. But now we laugh laugh about it and ride repeatedly because of course since we got stuck we got passes to cut the line of another ride in the park. Totally worth it. So I signed
  14. Its about time something was done about Vipers station. I love that ride and the wait usually isn't that bad until you get to the station! I always dread Vipers station. Also, its nice to hear about the American Eagle getting a facelift. It was my first coaster and it was the ride that turned me on to coasters and I am glad that they are refurbishing it so that another generation can enjoy it.
  15. American Coaster Enthusiasts= ACE
  16. I just joined ACE and I frequently go to Kings Island. Where is the place that we are supposed to meet at to go on the walk back in the morning? WHERE IS THIS!?
  17. Yeah, but I'm getting married and all my money is going to the wedding and saving up for a house. I can't really afford airfare either... it was a nice thought though...
  18. I think Cedar Point will do it if they can find room for it on that peninsula. Although I would like to see a freakishly tall coaster like 400+ feet that has a lift hill with an elevator lift system like Millenium Force. That would be awesome. There is nothing like going up that lift hill and having enough time to think "Oh shit." When you ride a launched coaster you also don't have that awesome moment where you go from the lift and over the crest of the hill real slow... AMAZING. Could you just imagine being in the front row of a 450 ft. coaster while it was cresting the hill and you were staring stright down? Woah, I get chills just thinking about it!!! 8)
  19. This is a tough question because when a ride breaks down whatever you do it's probably the wrong thing. If you get out of line... the ride will be up and running in 3 minutes. However, if you stay in line then it will be broken for 2 hours. UGH... I swear when a ride breaks down it ALMOST always a no win situation. I've gotten lucky a few time though when a ride broke down and I stayed in line and everyone left... it was sweet.
  20. I've never been in a fight but I saw a really heated shouting match between a park guest and a Six Flags employee. It was CRAZY! So every year for my birthday (my birthday is on Halloween... hence the screen name "Spookbaby") I get a whole bunch of people and we go to Fright Fest. Well, we were at the Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois and we were walking through the section that had all the scary ass clowns walking around. Well, as you know it's their job to chase people and be obnoxious and scary. Well, this one like 16 year old kid thought he was (according to him) a "thug." The kid was ticked because he was trying to act all tough and the clown came up behind him and made him scream like what i thought at first was a 3 year old girl. So he started calling the scary clown dude aweful names and stuff and then the clown started yelling back and the kid lunged at him and the other clowns came and held the one the kid was yelling at back. A huge crowd gathered and it was this huge deal. It was pretty funny at first because while the kid was yelling mean things the clown had a bull horn and was just saying funny sarcastic things. It wasn't till the kid tried to attack the employee did it get scary.
  21. *SIGH* I would love to come... it sounds like such a blast! Just one problem though... I LIVE IN ILLINOIS. Blah....
  22. Can mine say "The Newest ACE member!" I just got my membership card yesterday! Thanks!
  23. Amen on the swimsuit at the water park rule. I was at Hurricane Harbor the other day at Six Flags St. Louis and this guy in front of me in line for "Tornado" was wearing WHITE boardshorts. Oh, yeah white ONE LAYER board shorts that he bragged about how me made them himself in line! One word.... EWWWWWWWWWWWW
  24. Rule #?: When you arrive at a park you can play one of two games... if you arrive late try to sprint past all the park employees who try and stop you to get your picture taken at the front gate but if your early walk around and see how many photos you can get taken of your group! Rule #?: Be orginal in your on ride photos... if you know where the camera is actually do something funny... (p.s. it is not "funny" to flick off the camera or pretend your sleeping)
