  1. non-divided seats are only fun if you're the bigger of the two people in the seat. being the squishee isn't fun, but being the squisher is. this applies to making fresh orange juice, too. ~Allison "dont know where that last part came from" Y2K~
  2. dude! that video was the coolest! I loved the music. the Intamin bobsled reminds me of "Rolling Thunder" back when it was at SFGAm. ah, the good ol' days. the Madhouse looks like fun too. ~Allison "doesn't wanta Fanta, either" Y2K~
  3. that has got to be...the best POV EVER!!1! ....and look at the time, it's almost the end of "opposite day".
  4. 18 rulers? that sounds like enough to hand out at work on monday. great pics, btw! so where were the crowds, did you ever notice if it was really crowded at SFHH?
  5. omg, your hotel/suite looks amazing! sorry you couldn't get that one credit but hey..all the more reason to come back another time, right?
  6. OH. MY. GOD. these are hilarious! ~Allison "I loved Crispy Critters cereal!" Y2K~
  7. Some of the TR's here mention rides on various wooden coasters as being rough, terrible, bumpy, horrible, etc. now for me, when I ride a wooden coaster, I expect it to be rough and bumpy..that's why I like wooden coasters. I like being jostled and shook around. It goes with that "out of control" feeling that I love about wooden coasters. (note: steel coasters, IMHO, shouldn't be rough or bumpy) should wooden coasters be smooth like steel coasters? I have always gone on wooden coasters expecting it to be rough and bumpy and I've never been disappointed. (Beast, Gwazi, Mean Streak, Grizzly, et.al.) just thought I'd ask.
  8. I *loved* AE. Since I majored in sociology in college, it was great going on this ride/show and taking in all the reactions to the controlled chaos that was going on. much, much fun. I could have used that for my master's thesis had I stuck around a few more years. ..and in reading the OP's post I have to ask, was AE around for 10 years? wow how time flies! ~Allison "I *heart* Skippy" Y2K~
  9. the great Audiovox 8610 from Virgin pre-paid wireless. it 0wnz! well, it's not bad actually. I only have a cell b/c I don't have a home phone so this is the only way to get in touch with me. not like I get people calling me a lot. even when you put your phone # in your profile nobody calls you.
  10. if he knew the prosthetic would not accidently come off and become a liability, then yeah he should be able to ride. BUT..I have a major issue with the crew sending the train out with the child riding without her father. that wasn't right, especially if the child was visibly upset and crying.
  11. oooo..it interacts with the...monorail attraction.....and....the train ride attraction. yeah, I'd watch it with the sound off too.
  12. 10. speed tables 09. anchovies 08. not realizing the chocolate you're about to eat is baking chocolate. 07. people who ask "how are you?" when they don't really care. 06. anyone who marinates in their perfume/cologne 05. dessert forks 04. pickled eggs 03. calling something "new and improved" when it's neither new, or improved. 02. really, really, really bad pickup lines 01. love bugs
  13. ^^ eww..eww..eww! *bad visual* -look at me, coming into work -look at me, getting this poor sap to buy stuff. x8 -look at me, going on break -look at me, getting this poor sap to buy stuff. x8 -look at me, going to lunch -look at me, getting this poor sap to buy stuff. x8 -look at me, going on my last break -look at me, getting this poor sap to buy stuff. x8 -look at me, going home. yep..dullsville work day here.
  14. I have my one-handed photo-taking skills. easiest way to take a pic, see how well it turned out, and quickly try to take another one. setting the timer, running to get into position, holding that position, then running back to see how the pic turned out is just waaay too much effort. ~Allison "not lazy, efficient!" Y2K~
  15. I just "accidentally" run them over. hey, it's the easiest way in the beginning of the game to get lots of $$ and weapons! ~Allison "doesn't use a cheat code" Y2K~
  16. cool TR! sorry about Wal-Mart, tho. your baby is adorable! looks like everyone had a good time despite the heat.
  17. ^^ see? no one believed me when I posted the avatar of the castle becoming the new home of the Neverland Ranch. anyway, yeah, I'm a flippin' tram. I reek of diesel fumes and lots of people ride me all day. and I wonder why I'm so popular with the guys. has anyone scored as Spash Mountain or the Railroad yet?
  18. I guess I like bad food, I dunno. My favorite fast food places are: Burger King (they have onion rings!) Dominos CiCi's (I never go alone to a buffet, that's creepy) Popeye's Checkers Taco Bell Subway Shanghai Express (chinese food late at night is the best) I love Firehouse because of the variety of hot sauces you can choose from to pour on your sub. I think my fave they have is called "Scorned Woman"..b/c "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". I would like Arby's more if it wasn't so expensive to eat there. Same with Panera. So far, IMHO, they have good soups..but that's not enough to keep going back. I do like Papa John's because you can order online. Um. yeah, Burger King scored higher than McDonald's because BK has onion rings with yummy dipping sauce. I love onion rings. Plus they have better breakfast sandwiches. CiniMini's and french toast sticks win over breakfast burritos any day. ..and just about every time I order fast food chicken (Popeyes, Church's, KFC) they always screw it up AND forget plastic utensils. apparently they see me and think "fat chick. she'll just swallow this whole."
  19. that's why I would play it! curses! I was waiting for the game to drop in price before I went out to buy it. so Best Buy is out..does Circuit City or EB Games still carry it? can it be purchased online? ~Allison "96% completed with Vice City (stupid stunt jumps)" Y2K~
  20. 1. New Castle 2. Dos Equis 3. Sam Adams Cherry Wheat
  21. meh. Bri Sharp did a song about David Duchovny that's probably just as awesome.
  22. Nope. it's from the 2004 TPR video contest. it does have subliminal messages of Mr Six tho.
  23. Ever have one of those moments watching a coaster video thinking "oh wow, this song is awesome! I wonder who it is?" I've had this happen during this year's coaster video contest. Thanks to this year's video contest I have become addicted to: Andrew WK - Party Hard American Hi-Fi - The Art of Losing Motorhead - Born to Raise Hell Bowling For Soup - On And On (About You) Homenaje a los Ramones (forgot the artist, but it's in Spanish!) I bolded the Andrew WK because that was the most recent addition. (thank you Wisconsin Dells video!) last year's entries added: Vengaboys - We Like to Party Adrima - I can't stand it American Hi-Fi - Swing, Swing to my mp3 collection and a misc. coaster vid posted this year added Aqua Bats - SuperRad the only downside is that when I fall in love with a song, I have to have it right away. often the video doesn't list who the song is, so it's off to a lyrics search engine to try and find it. or the other option I found that works is a video to audio converter that rips the audio from the video into an mp3. granted in some of these that will include coaster footage audio but that's minor. So...anyone else watch (or re-watch videos), fall in love with the song in the video and add it to their current mp3 collection? ~Allison "party hard!" Y2K~
  24. alright well, let me copy the 2 pics from the photo thread to this one. I have 10 piercings in total. ears x3, industrial, nose, and labret. I had my navel pierced but it was done too shallow and the body was rejecting it so after awhile I just took it out. I'll get it redone the right way with my current piercer some day. I also plan on getting my tongue pierced in august. ok, well about the piercings. my labret hurt the most. my piercer said "oh it will be just like popping a zit." um, no. it didn't feel like any zit I popped! plus the first time, eventhough it looked right and all, it was off center, so I asked him to repierce it. so he had to take it out, and go through the process *again*. twice the pain! since he had to use all new tools to do it a second time I tipped him an extra $10. that was almost my most expensive piercing at $50. next on the hurt would be the industrial, but that's because it's 2 piercings. I think it would have hurt more but I had my adrenaline going and I was expecting pain so I was ready for it. then there is my nose. the nose didn't hurt a lot, but it did bleed some right after and that freaked me out. adjusting to the nose ring took some time too because it always felt like I was going to sneeze with the way the backing was rubbing on in the inside. yeah, then the ears hurt the least. they were originally done with piercing studs years ago, but I wanted to toughen up my girlie image so I took out the original piercing studs and replaced them with metal capture-bead rings. The only problem I had with my labret was accidentally catching the backing on my teeth while talking or eating. that wasn't fun. after the swelling went down it happened less and less. now that I replaced the stud with a ring it doesn't happen at all. interestingly enough, the only body piercing I didn't have done through my current piercer was the navel...and my body rejected it. once I found out my friend's boyfriend was a pro piercer from NYC and had a shop down here, I started going to him exclusively. all the piercings he's done for me have all been great, healed well, no problems. even when I stop by periodically he'll take a look at the most current piercing to see how it's healing. I should have figured the piercing I paid the least for ($10) would be the only one to reject. ...and those are my piercing stories/experiences.
  25. to quote the great John Bender, "Eat. My. Shorts."
