  1. As of today, it's open again.
  2. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Voodoo has been closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and today. Hopefully it'll be open tomorrow for those that are attending Coaster Madness.
  3. No, I wasn't representing TPR. We're just ACE members and friends of the park. My husband also works security there so that doesn't hurt either. Don't ever try line jumping at Dorney when he's on patrol or you'll be busted! Thanks for the compliments!
  4. I have to work that day since I'm taking off Friday for Coaster Mania, but we'll try to get there to see you for the last hour or 2.
  5. I agree about the rerides. It would be nice if they at least allowed them for ERT and special events. You would think on media day that they'd like to show the trains as full as possible in all of the TV clips and photos. Yes, Nicole, the holding break is on. That's definitely one of my favorite parts of the ride. Robb, it's just as awesome as it was at SFWOA. It was our favorite ride at that park and now it's our favorite ride at Dorney. Personally, I liked it better when it was called S:UE. It was nice having one of my favorite coasters named after me.
  6. Today we headed to Dorney for the Voodoo media day. The coaster itself actually opened on Saturday and we were able to ride twice that day, but today was the "official" opening. The event started late and didn't last as long as expected, but we were able to ride 13 times. Most times the train was only 1/4 full due to them not allowing rerides. Regardless, we're so happy to have one of our all-time favorite coasters within a few miles of our house and we'll be back to ride it many times this year. Here's a couple pictures from the festivities today. Sorry I don't have any pictures of it operating at this point--when it was running, we were too busy riding it. I'll get some action shots of it the next time we visit the park. Chuck from PR announcing the ride to the media: Jim Yeager cutting the ribbon: Ready to ride: This is our favorite type of line: Leann and Tom get ready to ride: Carl and Derek being interviewed: Here's a news story and video from today: http://tinyurl.com/4x59kz And another one(Rich gets his mug in the newspaper and I'm nowhere to be seen!) http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-voodoo-05212008cn,0,2675370.story Yay! You can see me in this clip: http://cbs3.com/video/?id=57462@kyw.dayport.com
  7. The Mountain Coaster at Jiminy Peak is a lot of fun. Just make sure you don't get stuck behind a slow person or it'll ruin the ride for you. Also, if you have time, the alpine slide is fun as well.
  8. Thanks for trying with the tortoise pictures, Big Mike. I hope they're out by the time we visit in 2 weeks. Sue, who was riding Voodoo yesterday
  9. Enjoy your ride on The Dark Knight! While you're there, be sure to take a ride on Rolling Thunder for Rich and I! Also, if the big tortoises are out in the Golden Kingdom, we want pictures.
  10. There's a Motel 6 in Southington, CT. I normally don't trust Motel 6, but we've stayed at this one a couple times and never had problems.
  11. Where's the Quassy and Rye updates, Big Mike? Your fans are anxiously awaiting it.
  12. Rich and I will be at LC on Saturday. We're the ones who got married on Boulder Dash 2 years ago. We never miss opening weekend at The Lake!
  13. Yes, that worked! Thank you very much for the help, Paul!
  14. All of a sudden today the buttons for close(the red x), minimize, and maximize in the upper right corner of my screen are smaller than they used to be. This is the case no matter what screen I open whether it's Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, etc. Can anyone help me out with how I can make those buttons appear bigger on my screen?
  15. Great TR! I'm sure that took quite some time to write, but I certainly enjoyed reading it. For those that go to SFMM frequently, how often do they run both sides of Colossus at the same time? I'm just curious since we've never seen it the couple times we've visited. When they do run both sides, do they try to dispatch them at the same time? We're one of the few who actually love Colossus, but I'm sure we'd enjoy it even more if both sides were racing.
  16. Thanks for the report and pictures! How do they have the station set up for the unusual seating pattern? Is it one air gate for every 4 sets of seats?
  17. I don't agree with this at all. From what I understand, guests in the regular line can't even wait for the front if they want. If they get to the turnstile and FP users are already in the front row, they have to go to another assigned row. In my mind they'll selling the front seat and that's not right. The proper way to do it is to merge the 2 groups before the station so that everyone has an equal chance to getting the front seat if that's what they want.
  18. It seems Cedar Fair likes the purple seat/orange restraint combination. Voodoo at Dorney also has those colors.
  19. Local McDonald's restaurants have coupons. I believe the one right outside the park on Rt. 537 had them when we stopped in there last weekend. It's good for either buy-one-get-one free during the week or $20 off other times. If you go on Friday, that would be especially helpful. Definitely plan to get to Kingda Ka as soon as possible. They've only been running 2 trains so far this season so that wait could get long. It's quite rough so try to ride as close to the front as possible for the most comfortable ride.
  20. That Terrapin bottle is awesome! If you guys ever have an empty bottle of that that you don't want, can I have it? You can have the beer--I just want the bottle!
  21. The front row on Goliath is reserved for Flash Pass users only? That's really messed up if that's the case! Regarding Flash Pass, what are the prices there and what rides is it good on?
  22. What 4 stadiums have you been to and what would you say was your favorite among them?
  23. This was the first minor league game we've even went to so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, the stadium was very nice and we had a good time Going on a weeknight when kids have school the next day is probably the best time to go. We'll definitely go see the Irong Pigs again and maybe even check out other games if we happen to be in the area of one.
  24. Here's a couple pictures from the AAA baseball game that we went to at the brand new stadium here in Allentown, PA. The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs were playing the Richmond Braves. Little did we know when we bought the tickets a couple months ago that we would witness their first ever win. After starting off 0-11, they finally won last night. We found the food and merchandise prices to be higher than expected, but the tickets and parking were both reasonably priced. It was a fun time and we'll definitely return. It worked out well that the game wasn't very crowded so we were able to move around and try out a bunch of different seats on the left side, right side, and behind home plate. On to the pictures... Mascot signing autographs: Here's a sample of the food prices: They actually won a game!!!
  25. What type of coaster do they have at Incredible Pizza and where is it located? RCDB doesn't even have that listed. Another credit on our TX trip would be awesome!
