Cedar Fair and Trash cans
DATman replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^, ^^They got it spot on. We're not complaining at all. It's just funny. For instance, I think my friend and I counted about 17-20 of them in the plaza by MF while waiting for my brother/dad to get off (We were on the train before them). -
Transformers: The Movie Trailer Released!
DATman replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
I just miss the good tagline... The trailer looks okay. The effects are great, but I'm iffy on the story and I think I'll wait for some reviews before I see it. -
Ever Wonder what happens to Loose Change?
DATman replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Disney donates theirs to the Make A Wish foundation, right? I'm glad that the parks tend to give away this money rather than keep it (Although I doubt SF parks do, what with Shapiro running them and all). -
Tomorrow is mah last day at school! Plus, it's only a 1/2 day.

I mean, if it asks for a rectangle, and there is a bunch of squares, it makes sense not to think too deeply into it. A square may always be a rectangle, but a rectangle is not always a square. I got to the last question and I forgot after the first color...

^^Of course, I immediately went and signed up for that! I like the odds, so hopefully I get one. -
TPR Members Ages 12 to 17...READ THIS NOW!!!!

^I dunno, I mean most people here don't treat me any differently than older people, at least that I can see. No one will label you if you act maturely (I'm not saying you are acting immaturely, because I don't know you, so I can't judge you), because it isn't annoying to read posts or have a conversation with someone who acts maturely. -

Let's just hope it continuously runs all 6 trains... -
Gears of War is the most stunning game I have ever played. The graphics and camera angles really blew me away. I don't normally play FPS games, but my favorites are either for N64 (Goldeneye) or 360.

Nobody should ever have to outlive their own children.

My sympathies for you and your wife. It's always sad to hear about a death, especially one of a child. I am so sorry for your loss. -

^I was planning to, I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just going to be a select few in a state other than CA... I'll call my best buy and see how many they'll be selling, so I can get there early enough to finally get one! -

Can anyone confirm that Targets or Best Buys are getting Wiis on Sunday? -
^Dude, why is your avatar so giant???? What happened to the limit, or is it a site problem right now?

They should put it up on the Stratosphere... Quite honestly, if this ride went, as well as psyclone and revolution, I wouldn't care. Superman has no thrill factor anymore (I have friends who were terrified of going on it, and she thought it was boring), and the other two are downright PAINFUL. I mean, Revolustion is pathetic now, the way they've butchered it. Viper really isn't bad iof you are taller than the restraints, in fact, it is awesome! X, well, I wouldn't mind it going, but I don't really care either way, as it really is not worth the wait. Maybe they could replace Canyon Blaster with a decent kiddie coaster... But, anyway, I say they should sell it, as it is the ride with the least point, and its time has passed.

Sorry, I was being stupid yesterday. I was just having a crappy day, and I just thought it was a little annoying that people were getting worked up about a house. Of course, I then got worked up about it, destroying any of the measly points I had. It's an alright movie, it really is. And from a filmmaker's standpoint, it was genius. I looked at what I wrote again, and I have to say that I agree with you guys. Sorry I spread my stupidity around...

Can you change mine to "Conform or Die"? Thanks in advance!

Wiggles World
DATman replied to savemagicmountain's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Magic Mountain ought to get one, though I think we all know it won't. I mean, it's kiddie area is the most craptacular I've ever seen. SFGAdv has two nice kiddie areas, so obviously they are the park to get a new one (yes, I know it is replacing their craptacular one, but still...). SF's logic astounds me. -
^I was thinking more along the lines of, "It's just a film that isn't very great, so why care?" I mean, you can like it or you can hate it, but in the end it is just a building. Art is meant to invoke emotion, and, while I'm sure it freaked the hell out of tons of people in its day, its day has passed. Then, there is art that is timeless, like DaVinci or Van Gough. There's a HUGE difference, as a painting cannout be improved graphically, there can't be better sound, there has always been color, there is a lack of actors, and they still compare to modern art. Films, however, don't really (not that films are very old anyway, but there is so much room for improvement in film, and not so much in art). History, well, personally I don't care for history, because I would hope that I'm not stupid enough to do some of the things people have done in the past. But if I am, do you think I'd listen to history anyway?? Wes, I sad an outdated movie which does nothing for its audiences (in otherwords, it was a generational thing). Some art is timeless, and does not have a fixed generation.

Besides, Psycho really isn't that great of a movie anyways. I hate it when people OMFG over "the classics" just becuase they are "classic". I mean, come on, it's JUST a movie set, not the end of the world. Besides, movie sets are torn down all the time, right after the movie is over. Personally, the Batman Begins city set would've been much more amazing than some old hose from a movie that is outdated and not very good at all. The "classic" movie sets are all gone anyway, so why bother caring at all... It's just a movie set, which, if you own the damn movie (which I doubt you watch enough to merit such dissapointment over a silly house), it will still live on. If they demolish the set, deal. If they don't, throw a freaking party for an empty shell of a house that stands for an outdated movie that doesn't do anything worthwhile for its audiences anymore.

^^I didn't spoil anything. Quite honestly, and if I did, it was some of the most tiny plot points ever. -
