  1. My top 5: 1. Millenium Force 2. Gemini 3. Raptor 4. Wicked Twister 5. Mantis I'm glad to see you like Gemini as much as I do, Robb. That was always a favorite of my family...whenever we'd visit CP, we'd enter through the back, and make it a point to go on Gemini first. It's practically the perfect woodie (with some steelie mixed in). Great airtime, great speed, and virtually no wait time, even during the busy days.
  2. Yeah, Jackson's King Kong had some great effects, and I was thrilled when I first saw it, but there were a few lingering problems. 1. The silent moments between Kong and Ann are just a bit too strained and rather akward. 2. I'm normally in favor of a steady build-up, but it took a bit too long to start the whole expidition. 3. The part of the stong, mentor-ish black guy, who naturally gets killed off half-way through the film, along with any other ethnic cast member. I'm not complaining for the sake of political correctness, heavens no...but it IS rather cliched these days, and Jackson should know better than to fall into cliches. Other than that, I'll at least say this film was WAY better than Kong's awful 1976 remake.
  3. ohhhhh man...I haven't laughed so hard in some time. Great stuff. I especially loved the whole "It's UCS for me" gag. Doug "I cracked up at the porcelain deer thing too" Booth
  4. Right here, is documented proof (as if we needed any more.) that Crispin Glover, AKA, Michael J Fox's dad in "Back To The Future" is a certifiable lunatic. Words can't even describe how bizzare this video is. http://youtube.com/watch?v=WsSx5NA6sXw Doug "I still laughed at it though, for some reason" Booth
  5. I saw V for Vendetta a while back. It was interesting, even though there's a bit too much talking, even for my taste. Hugo Weaving is amazing, it's simple as that. 9/10
  6. they could have, but that would have cut into the time they monopolize for all those shows that involve something in Vegas. Yeesh...if you watched this channel, you'd be convinced that vegas was the ONLY place to visit on earth! Doug "Tonight on Travel: top 20 cleanest slots in Vegas!" Booth
  7. I only saw a little of this special, but it looked ok. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the amount of special attention that CP still gets from these shows, even though there are even better coasters out there than their own. And judging from the off-hand comments they've made on the videos, Robb and Elissa would probably go nuts at all the hype they're still pouring onto Schlitterbahn.
  8. Fear not. Just buy the Journey into Imagination DVD from the Extinct Attractions Club, and you'll find the complete movie as an extra
  9. I've gotta go with Ariel on this one
  10. Wow, that thing sounded like it was really running that night, from the way you were all reacting. I haven't seen BTM run that wild since I was a child, I think. Doug "I guess coasters really do run faster at night" Booth
  11. You know, part of me can't help but think that Matt and Trey were really stretching with this one, but another part of me couldn't stop laughing at all the ridiculous stuff going on. Doug "If the show survived Mr. Garrison's sex change, maybe it can surivive this." Booth
  12. I love RCT 3, but it runs so sluggishly on my HP, which has Windows XP, a Pentium 4 processor, and plenty of memory to go around. The one thing it does NOT have, is a graphics card. It runs on integrated graphics, which can be a problem for games, I've heard. So what's the best way to go in terms of a graphics card when it comes to this game?...should I listen to the advertisment it gave for the ATI Radeon after I installed it, or is there something a bit more affordable that works just as well?
  13. I heard one or two rumors that NYNY was going to be removing ME. But that was a couple of years ago, so I guess they're not ready to part ways with their weapon of mass concussions just yet. Doug "Why don't they just replace the restraints with lap-bars?...it worked for FOF." Booth
  14. Damn right, it all looks like so much fun... I'd love to meet you guys up here, but I wouldn't wish another visit to SFDL on any of you guys. I respect you too much for that. But hey, maybe someday I'll fly out to CA and see what's going on at SFMM for the first time ever. Once I've figured out how to get to Valencia from LA that is, which is where I'd undoubtedly be flying to first. Doug "It's tough being raised by parents who lived in LA in the 70's, and hated the place" Booth
  15. I tend to stay away from those types of rides...even though I'm a coaster enthusiast, sad to say, I'm still terrified of heights.
  16. Ahhhh I see...^^ Doug "A death machine by any other name, is still a death machine" Booth
  17. ^ I've no clue what that coaster is...it looks like a TOGO death machine ^^;;
  18. I already know about that site. I've been going there for a few years now
  19. One of my closest coasters is the Viper at SFDL Still one of my favorite Arrow Loopers.
  20. hey...I just got a close look at that photo of Robb holding up his shoes on the Popeye themed water ride... Holy Crap, Robb...it would appear you and I have the exact same pair of Skechers! Doug "Ain't that a cowinkidink?" Booth
  21. Hmmmm...you know that actually sounds a lot like Pepsi One, which we have here in the States, so maybe we do get it...it doesn't really sell around here, mainly because it tastes NOTHING like regular Pepsi. More like the bastard offspring of Pepsi and diet pepsi unceremoniously mixed together. Coke Zero on the other hand...that stuff tastes amazingly similar to regular coke! Doug "Sorry for getting so off-topic about this" Booth
  22. I read all about Issac Hayes leaving, due to his being offended by the Scientology episode, and thus the end of Chef...who has always been the heart of this show (Not to mention the only character NOT voiced by Matt Stone or Trey Parker.) Ladies and Gentlemen...as of tonights episode, South Park will officially jump the shark. I guarantee it.
  23. Ok, this question has been nagging me for some time, and maybe you Brits on the board can help me out...what exactly is Pepsi Max?...We don't get it here in the States... Doug "I know this has nothing to do with coasters. I'm just curious." Booth
  24. I have a few of those "America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills" videos, the first of which being in "3-D" along with "World's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills"...the narrator tends to be a BIT more accurate in the stats and elements of the coasters, but still tends to give out some real groaners in his dialouge... From "America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills 2": "Take a ride on the Mantis, and start praying!" >_<
  25. Ohhhh man, great photos. Great TR alltogether. I still remember my trip last summer to WDW, and now I'm gonna have to visit again, with Everest open now. I would give anything to meet all of you guys at one of these parks, even if it was just for one day. You all seem like such awesome, and fun people to be around, from what I see of your photos and videos anyway.
