  1. A net won't catch change. The change would fall right through. BTW I've never had change or anything else out of my pockets on any roller coaster.
  2. This element looks very much like a full inverting over-banked turn. The open spacing of the supports also looks very friendly to having walkways passing underneath. This is exactly what I picture going into the Boardwalk at Knott's. Would look nice sitting right next to Xcelerator.
  3. You've all made a convincing case. I think I will consider them next time.
  4. How does GG woodie track design compare to others? It looks more traditional than RMC topper track does. How are they able to do the inversions while GCI can't. The track design looks almost the same, than say topper track does.
  5. Fast Lane, Flash Pass, Fastpass, Express Pass. They go by so many different names, but they all work the same. Pay an extra fee on top of park admission, sometimes nearly as much as $50 or more, and skip the lines. It seems every park and chain has one of these plans nowadays. Are these really worth it to pay an extra $50 bucks on top of nearly $100? I guess if you visit during peak season it would make sense, but then I never do. What about anyone else?
  6. Probably bad wiring on and in pool light fixture. This kind of thing happens occasionally here in the US in home pools where a light got broken or just plain old. That's why most states no longer allow in pool lights.
  7. This was posted on RMC Facebook page earlier today. All rights to RMC.
  8. ^ yeah it's back up now. Guess it was just a glitch. Darn I really hoping they were up to something fun.
  9. Boardwalk webcam is down for whatever that's worth. Ghost Town works but when you click on the Boardwalk cam it blanks out. Ooooo they're up to something! Awww it's probably just a glitch.
  10. I knew it! God = Dippin Dots guy. I've never seen them both at the same time! I knew there was something trust worthy about that guy.
  11. That was just a construction fence. This is an old photo of Sky Cabin with Boom in the background. You can clearly see that there is no "wall" around the ride. You can see the access ramps with the white and red painted swooshes and the screen-fencing around the ride. The construction fence was probably just up to protect the ride from all of the destruction going on around it.
  12. I looked at a map out curiosity. I didn't realize the two Fun Spots were so close together.
  13. ^ I don't really care if it's a sorta low capacity ride, mainly because I never plan on visiting when it's busy. I just want it too be an amazing ride. But no shuttle coasters and no one train operation glorified fireballs. Those may as well be shuttle coasters as far I'm concerned. Edit: Does Knott's do private parties after hours? It's after midnight and the park closed at 10pm but there are still a lot of people in the park and some of the rides, but not all, are still going.
  14. I love the look of a well designed woodie. I like that aside from the lift hill and first drop the entire track stays fairly low to the ground. It gives the coaster a grand scale. I can see where the speed comes from. No energy is wasted by having to crest turn-around hills. Instead they gave it highly banked, almost over-banked, turns. I'm never getting to Florida I just know it, but I look forward to the day they build of of those out west.
  15. I love the steep descent and the banking on that first turn-around.
  16. I thought Monster was an Infinity coaster? That's looks Euro-fighters. Infinity have at least four cars.
  17. How is a train designed to run on steel track able to utilize wooden coaster tracks? Edit: Duh. Never mind. I forgot Iron Rattler is a steel coaster not wooden.
  18. ^ I personally don't think Knott's getting the Raptor. I used to but not any longer. Knott's basically ready to begin construction and the Raptor is still testing last we heard. But there is another rumor that has me even more excited. Last year there were rumors that T-Rex track was spotted at Silverwood. But word soon came out that RMC was simply storing it at SW and now the track is gone. Where did it go?
  19. Oh gawd I hope so because then that means Knott's gets the new hotness coaster.
  20. The last two nights I checked before going to bed and hadn't seen any work lights. I assumed they would have started by then.
