I Beg To Differ......
-
Call me a dork, but I like to read the Harry Potter books. When I was in middle school, I used to read the R.L.Stine Goosebumps Books...(Haven't read them in years but still have the collection>) I also have various Roller Coaster Books, and whenever I get time, I write my own short adventure stories; usually involving roller coasters, parks, and people trying to escape them.....kinda my versions of the Goosebumps books. But right now, I'm working on my own Zombie movie script. My best buds are majoring in film editing and graphics design. They are going to film the project once i'm done. I've only written 93 pages so far.

How do you feel about commercials at movie theatres?
CoasterExpert13 replied to cfc's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well if we are talking about the "previews" before the actual movie starts, then yes I love those. It gives me a chance to see whats new, so I can plot on what to see next time I shall visit. Even the tv commercial ads the movie theater sometimes shows, they're cool, as long as it don't take too long to start the movie. -
I don't care much for Arrow's corks or vertical loops either. I think Cobra Rolls and heartlines are great. The best inversion(s) of all to me would have to be: Zero-G-Rolls, Dive Loops and Immlemans. There aren't to many that I dislike....I just can't stand the usual "B&M" layout (Loop, Dive Loop, Zero-G, Cobra Roll, MCB's, Corkscrew, corkscrew) So many B&M's have that exact layout. But I must say most of them still have a different ride experience.

If you could BUY one Coaster...
CoasterExpert13 replied to l3ite_me1313's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hard one here....i'll have to give this some thought.... -
My worst fear when ridding a coaster is not about the coaster itself, mainly the riders. I fear being barfed on.....Again.. And, well maybe, the "OTHR" or lapbar coming unlocked. But I usually only worry about that on ceartin coasters, like the Phantom's Revenge on the bunnyhops, near the end of the ride. I sometimes think that all the force i'm putting on the lap bar when flying out of my seat that the lap bar is gonna come unlocked.

Ride Concept I think would be Great
CoasterExpert13 replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, I actually thought this up (even though this probab;y was alreay drawn up) in 10th grade, or a project. I drew an Inverted coaster but all the cars were built sideways on the trak....If I can just find the darn picture............. -
Hyper coasters Vs. Wooden
CoasterExpert13 replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like both, but I would prefer any Steel coaster over wood anyday. Mainly loopers, I love inversions. Wood coasters are fun, but I prefer the smooth, sleek quality of a steel coaster...I'm very fond of B&M Inverteds...they are the best B&M style of coaster to me. I didn't like Apollo that much, best ride in the park was Alpengeist. I thought Silver Star was great, when I visited Europa in 2004. I also think that Nitro is great, but I agree with Robb, Raginig Bull is better than Nitro. -
http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/eo/20060214/113997180000.html I'm glad that they are going to do another Jason movie, but modern thrillers sometimes can't accomplish what the old low budget movies did back in th day: To Scare. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/index.php?Show=3145&Template=newsfull I just hope this time, it's more of a thriller than a comedy. What do ya think?

Final Destination 3
CoasterExpert13 replied to KrakenKing's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought the movie was great, and would hope for a FINAL fourth. The movie (imo) was better than: Dark Water Boogyman Freddy VS Jason Both Previous Final Destination Films The Grudge....and a buch of other films. -

I just went to see Final Destination 3, and the roller coaster sence was great (yet sad abit)...the movie was 5 times better than both its predecessors. I mean the deaths in this movie were far more unimaginable than the first 2. ......the critics gave the move a 2 on a 1-10 scale. I thought it was about a 9. Did anyone else see the movie? Let me know what you think!

What weird things have you seen people do when driving?
CoasterExpert13 replied to Joe Cool's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well, one moment takes the cake: I was picking my sister up from downtown, she just got off work. When I crossed the bridge and pull pass Heniz Stadium, I happen to glance to the left in time to see some lady doing a Triple-Threat. She was smoking a cigarette, while on the cell phone and eating pretzels...No BullS**t. I couldn't help but think "she's an accidnet waiting to happen." -
Theme Park Survey
CoasterExpert13 replied to Robster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just finished, good survey. Made me think a bit. Good Luck with the project an your future adventures. -
I do both scream and whoo, not because the rides are actually scary, but mostly because it's fun. Trust me, no one wants to be on a coaster with an entire train of quiet riders...that would be ultimate boredom...I sometimes get on rides by the amount of screams...it tells me that it's gonna be a fun ride if not a scary ride.

I know alot of people love the Disney Parks.....and I admit, they are beautiful parks, clean, great family atmoshpere...but they wouldn't be at the top of my list when it comes to fun. But then again, what can I expect, it's disney....though it would be great if they had some great coasters like IOA. Oh, and I wouldn't really call the Disney parks the "worst" of the bunch.

Best Six Flags Park
CoasterExpert13 replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
larrygator wrote: truthfully, I don't know, maybe the overall atmosphere of the park, everything was easy to get to. Also the rides were great, though not the best selection in the SF line up. -
I'm a "whoo-er" but I love to scream on rides, not because thet are scary or that they hurt my stomach...it's just fun....think about it....would you want to get on a coaster that everyone is completly silent throughout the whole ride?.....I wouldn't...it would be booorrrring...not to mention that screaming sometimes freaks out other riders, which is sometimes fun to see. My hands are always up, even the on the tame/lame coasters;)
