  1. I'm kind of thinking that the 240' ride will be a star flyer. I mean aren't most of the Funtime star flyers that tall? Plus I just don't see them adding a huge hyper right after getting a big coaster in 2018. I *love* star flyers.
  2. ^^ How so? None of their parks seemed to be so awful to me that I just wanted to leave. Granted, I still haven't been to Six Flags Mexico but I heard that that park is great, plus they are getting a 4D free spin next year and I love those things. I've heard that they were pretty bad in the late 90's through the early 00's but they seem great to me in recent years. Again, they always add SOMETHING to EVERY park in the chain EVERY year. Whether it is a family ride, thrill ride, roller coaster, water ride, water park expansion, show, etc. But seriously, I've never been to a Six Flags park that has a bunch of trash on the ground and I've never had an employee rude to me. There has never once been a visit to a Six Flags park where I didn't feel happy when I left at the end of the day. I could also say the same about the Cedar Fair parks I've been to, but I still prefer Six Flags over Cedar Fair. But that's just my opinion.
  3. ??? Railblazer themeing is way better with SR1. Railblazer has a better color scheme. Railblazer is not another recycled DC comics character named ride. Fiesta Texas usually has decent themeing with their coasters and other rides. But I think the color scheme is good one considering it is themed after Wonder Woman, a female character that wears red, yellow, and blue (although I like the color scheme for the free spin at Mexico better). Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster will be the first roller coaster themed after Wonder Woman so I wouldn't judge it too hard for being recycled. Plus people love Wonder Woman, I mean the movie so far is one of the highest grossing movies of 2017 and it has a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes so I think it is fitting. Plus it sits right by Superman and not too far from Batman. Plus I'd be more inclined to ride Wonder Woman since it is at Fiesta Texas, a park with better coasters, flat rides, thrill rides, water rides, a better waterpark, etc. But that is just my opinion. We all have different opinions. Rail Blazer does look pretty cool, the trains look cool with that ATV theme. The trains on both raptor coasters look really awesome. And I like that both raptors have the ponds underneath. It'd spectacular if either had a water effect.
  4. Thanks for the update! The talk about Wonder Woman has been fairly quite lately. I'm so excited for it! It makes an already stellar coaster lineup even better! I'm probably more excited for Wonder Woman than Railblazer since it is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Plus since it is at Six Flags Fiesta Texas it will probably have great themeing.
  5. It doesn't look as weird as you think. I mean they are Converse, they all look the same. It isn't like wearing two different brand of shoes or two different styles. It is like the rails of Joker at Discovery Kingdom and the Joker free fly clones. I don't think it's a big deal if it's for like a pep rally or you're going to a school game. I wouldn't wear them just on a normal school day though haha. Now, let's get back to Holiday World. I would do that on school spirit days. We don't really have pep rallies as the principal thinks they are a waste of time so..... But yeah, back to Holiday World.
  6. I know I'm so excited! I live only ten hours away and I'm so excited to go ride! Next summer I'm taking a whirlwind trip to Six Flags Over Georgia, then to Owa, then to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and I thought while I'm on my way back up to Springfield I might as well hit up Six Flags Over Texas since I'll be passing through Dallas anyways. I mean I haven't gone since 2016 so I'll be able to ride Joker and their new awesome flat ride! Plus I'll also be going to Six Flags St. Louis again at some point (that new waterslide looks like a lot of fun!) and also I'm going up to Silverwood. I might be going to Cedar Point at some point but who knows?
  7. That's been the pattern with all of these 6 flags conversions. They go cheap (not big) and shorten the rides. I would take Viper at Great America anytime over this conversion. The Cedar Fair conversions so far seem to be the full coasters. Were you in the boardroom when the decision was made to go with the final layout that was chosen? If not, how exactly are you so sure it was due to money? Twisted Timbers is a whopping 204 feet longer than Hurler. Steel Vengeance is 313 feet longer than Mean Streak. Yet somehow those are "the full coasters" (whatever than means?) but every other RMC is "cheap", even though the general consensus is they're generally amazing. OK. You wanna lump Kentucky Kingdom in with that while you're at it? Let's not forget who was the first company to take a chance on RMC and got the ball rolling on these conversions. Coaster enthusiasts: never letting an opportunity to bash Six Flags go to waste. I know right? Why does everybody bash on Six Flags? They add something to EVERY park EVERY year. And there hasn't been a Six Flags park yet that I haven't loved. And all the additions seem really great and will add to the parks that they are going to. And Twisted Cyclone looks like so much fun! It may not have as many airtime moments as other RMCs but it still looks like it will be a blast!
  8. It doesn't look as weird as you think. I mean they are Converse, they all look the same. It isn't like wearing two different brand of shoes or two different styles. It is like the rails of Joker at Discovery Kingdom and the Joker free fly clones.
  9. Yep... This does a pretty good job of explaining why I'm 32 years old and still have no children. Eh. My friends and I (we're all sixteen) we like to have days where we wear a theme park related shirt (or sweatshirt) on. One of my friends wears an awesome comfort colors shirt she bought from Six Flags Over Georgia when they went over the summer and the other one wears a t shirt that her mother bought a while ago at Six Flags Great America when they still lived in Chicago.
  10. So does anybody know when Holiday World restocks their online store? I want to buy a new Holiday World sweatshirt. I bought a maroon one last December and I just outgrew it. It was great, maroon and gold are my school colors so I would wear the sweatshirt and wear a maroon Converse on my left foot and a gold one on my right.
  11. I would think so since it is a steel coaster, right at the front of the park, and will be one of their marquee coasters. Doesn't Twisted Colossus usually run at Holiday in the Park at Magic Mountain?
  12. Yeah. How would they just get rid of the paint? Just sand it all off or power wash it? At that point would they treat it or stain it in any sort of way?
  13. I get this feeling that we could see one of ABC Ride's Tourbillon coming to SFMM for 2019! YES! I would love that! I would love if they put it in the Scream Punk District in that entrance plaza of Scream. To the right of the entrance there is a big open space of just black top and they could put it there and give it like a gear theme. Or there is a patch of trees/open land right in front of the loop of Riddler's Revenge and to the left of Tidal Wave. They could put it there and give it the Harley Quinn's Spinsanity theme.
  14. I know right? I've ridden Outlaw Run, Storm Chaser, and New Texas Giant and they all place in my top three of wood and steel. I don't know about you guys, but the layout of Twisted Cyclone is really growing on me. It seemed short at first, but then I realized it will have about the same duration of like Storm Chaser or Outlaw Run. And I really love that first turn around with the two zero g rolls. And I REALLY love that second turn around with the kind of double up into the over bank and the double down out of it. And also that wave turn looks great. I'm so excited for Twisted Cyclone and Wonder Woman: Golden Lasso Coaster. Honestly, I'm more excited for those two than I am for Twisted Timbers and Steel Vengeance (I'm not going to count Rail Blazer since it is the same thing as Wonder Woman).
  15. I don't know why people make fun of that name so much. I think it is kind of cute. Although I don't think they were going for cute when they thought of that name. I would love to see like a tilt-a-whirl or Chance wipeout/freestyle with that name.
  16. I doubt Six Flags would go with a non-reputable knock off company. But I like the tubular members a lot more than the square ones. The square ones just seem so bulky.
  17. Yep. It just seems kind of weird since they just repainted it and such last year. I would have loved so see them name the tourbillon Two Face: The Flip Side. Although if they were going to add Superman themed rides in the Gotham section of the park (like Six Flags America) I would have loved to see them go with the name Lex Luthor's Invertatron, the name of the Zamperla windshear from Six Flags New Orleans. Or even Krypton Collider. I wonder when they'll release the new name of the troika? And it will be interesting to see what name they go with. Maybe they could call it Gotham City Crime Wave like the wave swingers at Six Flags New England and Six Flags Over Georgia.
  18. Yeah. I've been super proud of Six Flags lately, not just Magic Mountain, but the whole chain. At a lot of their parks they've really been updating old areas that didn't get a lot of foot traffic and they've made them great again (Jim Reid Anderson for CEO 2018). Like at Six Flags Great Adventure they added the Justice League dark ride to the Old Country area and now they are adding Cyborg Cyber Spin to that area and its given people a reason to go to that section of the park. Six Flags Magic Mountain updated the Scream Punk area, did updates to the Revolution, they added a dark ride to Gotham and repainted Riddler, now they are adding the Boardwalk section. And this one doesn't get a whole lot of attention but Six Flags St. Louis has been updating the Chouteau's Market area of the park by removing Hannibarrels and replacing it with Tsunami Soaker, then this year they added in Spinsanity and repainted the Chevy show building. And then Six Flags Over Texas updated their Gotham section by adding in some awesome flat rides, a coaster, and now an awesome new and unique flat ride.
  19. I'm surprised this was the name and theme they went with since they just completely refurbished the Troika last year. I would kind of love for them to give the Troika a Poison Ivy theme. Maybe call it Poison Ivy's Tangled Twist. They could put some lattice on that back and have some climbing plants like some hummingbird vines or something that grow fast and require little maintenance. Or maybe Scarecrow Screamer. Anywho, the new Spinsanity looks very exciting! Although it looks crazy, it definitely looks like a ride that my stomach can handle. Even if, it still looks very visually appealing.
  20. It is awesome that Magic Mountain is also refurbishing the Scrambler and Tidal Wave! The park is slowly making its way to the top of my Six Flags bucket list! These past few years have been great for Magic Mountain! Twisted Colosssus, a complete refurbishment of that one area into the Screampunk District, a complete refurbishment of the Revolution, a new (air conditioned) dark ride, a new thrill ride (an amazing one at that), a new themed area, updated dodgem cars, and a few refurbished rides. I am actually super happy with every addition at every Six Flags park this year.
  21. I love the color scheme! I love it a lot more than the one on the Golden Lasso.
  22. I don't know about you guys, but I'm super excited for this! This looks awesome! Maybe they are having a naming contest with their fans on Facebook.
  23. This surprised me. This is probably the last park that I would have thought would be getting a sky warp. Looks fun!
  24. Looks fun! It will definitely be unique in Missouri! And I'm sure it will draw a lot of crowds.
  25. Looks awesome! I wonder where they will be moving the tea cups to. It looks like it takes up the space where they are currently.
