  1. Yeah..... La Ronde isn't really the kind of park that cleans up after their self. That seems so weird to me that they'd have two ferris wheels, though at least this one will have lights on it. And I hope that it is where that haunted house used to be. That haunted house really did just seem like a cheap filler addition to say that they got something. I even wish that they would tear out Cobra and put these new rides in its place, I just hate seeing that rotting coaster there. Thought I really wish that they'd put like a Premier sky rocket model in its place or even a free spin!
  2. Thanks for the information! I'm surprised they gave up a scrambler for a mini drop tower. I'm sure more people would enjoy a scrambler. Any idea on what they are going to call it? Their whole 2018 addition seems weird, the weirdest part being that they are getting a second ferris wheel. I wonder if this means that their other ferris wheel's days are are numbered. Where in the park are these three new rides going again? And yeah. I'm surprised that they haven't scrapped it or something. And families would enjoy if they had it still. Heck, everybody would enjoy it. I love big thrills and I ALWAYS ride teacups if a park has some.
  3. Aren't they also getting a Scrambler? And thanks for the information! And I would love to see them add the teacups back in. Teacups are wonderful family rides and I always ride them if they are at a park. If they aren't going to put them back in, then I wish they would send them to another Six Flags parks. I'd love to see them at the Great Escape, Six Flags St. Louis, or Six Flags Magic Mountain.
  4. So are these rides brand new?
  5. ^^^ Thank you! I think I might end up going to both Holiday in the Park and Winterfest! I saw a video of Winterfest, and it just looks too beautiful to pass up!
  6. Those are beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing them! I love Holiday in the Park! I'm not a huge fan of Six Flags' Fright Fest events, but I think that Six Flags really hits Holiday in the Park out of the park!
  7. That's gorgeous! Thanks for the wonderful pictures? And what's 04.07.18? Is that the date that they plan to open Harley Quinn?
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with the Thanksgiving section due to the timing of the announcement Ok, I was wrong lol I was even more wrong, I thought they were going to get a dry park addition. Lol More specifically, I was thinking that they were going to get something from Lakemont Park, maybe the old monster ride and say that they are reintroducing Midnight Ride. But I think this is a PRECIOUS addition. It looks so adorable. I don't think I've ever seen a kiddie sized wave pool. It definitely seems like it will be fun for the little ones. Holiday World is definitely one of the most family friendly amusement parks in the world.
  9. WE DID!!!! We read the post right above yours. Same. It will be a much welcomed addition to the park. Plus, those Larson towers KICK A$$!!! They are some of the most intense drop towers out there. No doubt in my mind the regulars of this park will eat this ride up! I didn't really see that post before I posted my reply........ I just saw the reply about the mouse coaster being removed and then did my thing. Sorry. Anywho. But yeah, this tower will no doubt be more eye catching from both inside and outside the park. I remember you couldn't even see Dr. Dean's Rocket Machine from the road since it was so short. Plus Dr. Dean's Rocket Machine was just so weak.
  10. Worlds of Fun Winterfest has the ice skating as well. Nice! Where are they going to have it?
  11. That's a good idea! Thank you! I think I'll definitely get one of those Six Flags passes for next year because I plan on visiting four of the Six Flags parks over the summer. That will make it really handy to be able to go to Holiday in the Park next year!
  12. ^^ I don't really think so. They have the Hawk right now, which is a Zamperla hawk. Those two rides are VERY similar, the only difference being that your feet dangle on the Hawk. I'd love to see them add flying scooters since they are a great and fun family ride. Though it would surprise me if they got a super loop..... Which that isn't horrible; those things are fun!
  13. Thanks for the advice! I was really leaning towards Holiday in the Park. I LOVED how they had the campfires throughout the park. It really was an amazing experience last year. I don't have a season pass to Six Flags St. Louis, but I do have one for Silver Dollar City. I've already gone about four times since the start of an Old Time Christmas. I wish SDC would do those campfires, those are really fun. And I think it would be totally cool if they did a little snow hill right by the old Water Toboggan tower like at Six Flags Over Texas! But yeah, the price is a bit high for Holiday in the Park, it is about fifty dollars I think. Winterfest is only about twenty online, but there aren't as many attractions open. Plus I just don't know what to expect. I REALLY want to go to Winterfest at Kings Island since they are doing the ice skating, plus the tree on the tower looks like it will be SPECTACULAR. Though I'm curious to see how the tree on Steel Hawk will turn out.
  14. That's a great addition for the park! The Larson towers are the best model out of there in my opinion. Does the park still have the double shot tower or did they remove that? I also believe that Larson drop towers are the best drop towers. No matter how many times I ride one, the drop still comes as a complete surprise and I can't help put feel terrified inside. The drop seems so heavy on it! This will definitely be an improvement over Dr. Dean's Rocket Machine (though I loved the name and sign). DDRM was definitely the weakest S&S shot tower that I've ever ridden. This gives me hope for Magic Springs! I was sure that they were starting to get rid of their dry park after they removed two of the flat rides. I'm predicting that they'll get some Larson flying scooters next.
  15. Do you guys think I should go to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags St. Louis or Winterfest at Worlds of Fun this year? I went to Holiday in the Park last year and I absolutely LOVED it. Worlds of Fun is closer to Springfield, plus it is cheaper, but there are only two major coasters running and I have no idea what to expect. Six Flags St. Louis had all their coaster operating last year except Screaming Eagle and the Boss. What do you guys think I should do?
  16. YESSS! Did you guys hear? Magic Springs is adding a new drop tower for 2018! This one will be a Larson drop tower. I'm happy to finally see them adding something rather than removing something.
  17. Wowwie! That looks gorgeous! I love that Six Flags is starting to do this at all of their parks. I absolutely LOVE that area with the lights strung over the pathway and that is the light show. I grew up with an Old Time Christmas at SDC, last year I was also able to got to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags St. Louis, this year I'll be able to visit Winterfest at Worlds of Fun, and next year I'll be able to go to the "new for 2018" Frontier Christmas at Frontier City! I love amusement park Christmas events.
  18. Especially next year! Think of how amazing it will be to ride Time Traveler when it is pitch black at night!
  19. I think an Old Time Christmas is my favorite amusement park Christmas event. I'm super excited for next year when Frontier City starts their Christmas event!
  20. Okey. Something messed up with the link and every time I try to change it, a new comment posts. I'm so sorry.
  21. I don't want to start anything, so please don't bite my head off or anything. But Coaster Force just posted an IAAPA round up on their website that showed all the highlights from IAAPA. They had a picture of the Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster train. The caption for it says this: "The final train reveal at the show was for another Six Flags coaster – Harley Quinn’s Crazy Coaster due to open at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom early next year. The manufacturer of the ride, Skyline Attractions, unveiled the Skywarp coaster concept at IAAPA 2016 and, aside from the one pictured above, they have sold another to Six Flags Great Adventure." Here's the link: http://coasterforce.com/iaapa-2017-round-up/
  22. What all do you guys think Holiday World is going to be announcing next Tuesday?
  23. That small field beside Batman: the Escape is just begging for the pieces of a log flume.
