  1. I'll do whatever I feel "Jigsaw" expects me to do. But for you to find out, you'll have to wait until Saw III premiers this October.
  2. Excellent Theme Park Review Trip Report of E3! It's great to see such a strong turn out for Nintendo. The revival of this first-rate company appears to be well underway! I am curious about that new and rather "unique" controller, I hope it is as user-friendly as it appears. Your trip thru the History of Video Games brought on a series of eighties flashbacks! I couldn't believe how many of those handheld video games I still remembered after all these years. (Or should I say decades--Ouch!) It's hard to believe, that when I was in my early teens and pumping endless quarters into the local Dig Dug at Straw Hat Pizza, that someday I would be able to play it on a "portable phone". I was happy to see the Classic Coleco Vision at E3! I can still remember the day my Dad brought that system home for my brother and I, and how it consumed endless hours of our lives. By the way Robb, did you Tempt Fate and "Touch" the Skull Chair???
  3. ^Come on, Red Stripe Beer may be brewed in Jamaica, but it's the other local crop that should be used to salute this legend. (Bob was buried wth a bud of Marijuana) Bob Marley did die way before his time, but thanks to his 12 children (From 8 mothers) he still lives on. His music is as popular today, (If not more so) as when he performed during his Uprising Tour. The fact that his album Legend has sold countless millions over the years, and still continues to do so today, is a tribute to the man who popularized Reggae Music to the world.
  4. Yes, Sunday's 10 to 3 victory over the Orioles was impressive! Your Mom may have even noticed a Broom or two in the Fenway stands, for the official Three Game Sweep of Baltimore! I also have to say that your dog "Digit" must be a Hardy Breed, because I'm sure that water is every bit as cold as it looks!
  5. Nice Trip Report from the Greatest State in the Union! Being born in Massachusetts myself, I do miss living on the east coast. By the way, for your next Photo Trip Report, you need to mortgage your home for some Home Plate seats to see the Redsox at Fenway Park! It doesn't necessarily have to be against the Hated Yankees, any team will do! Go Redsox!!!
  6. For those who are familar with the PC game "Far Cry", which is one of the best 1st person shooters of all time. They're suppose to introduce the next Crytek game at E3 called "Crysis". You can see a demo of Crysis featuring the "CryEngine2" at IGN.com. The game isn't coming out for a while, but it looks great so far!
  7. Hey Robbie, there is nothing quite like having a cold dose of reality thrown at you. The reality in this case is that in the end, we are all responsible for the actions we decide to take on a daily basis. This sad, yet avoidable situation had far too many things working against it. 1) A stolen car, 2) An unlicensed driver (lacking driving experience), 3) Speeding and or racing, 4) No seat belts, 5) Possibly under the influence. Most teenagers, (like these two) have an attitude of invincibility (which is normal), they never intended or imagined that their actions could lead to these tragic results. Sadly, it's a situation like this, that will often make their friends and fellow classmates take notice. Now their friends realize what can happen to them, they are more likely to avoid ending up in a similar situation. For my Prom, the local Police dragged out some wrecked car (A common Police tactic) to show teenagers what can happen with drinking and driving, and whereas many teens just roll their eyes, others do get the message that this can occur. Hopefully the surviving teen makes a full recovery, because paralyzed or not, the local District Attorney will still likely charge him with some type of accessory charge involving the theft of the vehicle, which will only make his new reality even worse. By the way, what's up with these so-called friends of his in the other cars??? Did they help their injured classmates? Because the article seems to state that they stopped at the accident, then fled the scene! That wrong in so many ways!!!
  8. Hey Carnage, nice photo TR. Your photo showing the Skyrider + Jet Scream, gave me a mid to late eighties highschool flashback for SFMM, when my friends and I rode the now departed Shockwave + Z-Force. (I imagine that Mr. Alvey can relate)
  9. Hey Hercules, I'm curious, have you been a vegetarian for a while, or did you "Convert" once you started dating your Vegan Girlfriend? (What did Samuel Jackson say in the movie Pulp Fiction? "Well my girlfriends a vegetarian so that pretty much makes me one to") Anyhow, I have been around more Vegetarian/Vegans than most people (I owned a health food store for 9 years) and I have found many Vegans to have somewhat extreme personalities, (No offense towards the lady in your life) whereas vegetarians varied greatly as to what they considered "edible". When it comes to Theme Parks, their major concern is profit margins, and lets face it the margins on Hot Dogs, Fries, and Soda are going to be much higher than the ones for Falafel Pitas, Diced Peaches, and Water. Though, when I went to Disneyland last week, I did see one stand that was selling fruit and water (At $3.50 per bottle!!!) But it was doing a marginal business at best, at least compared to the long lines at the McDonalds Fry and Soda stand near by. I would assume that most vegetarians (Not Vegans) should be able to get by at most major Theme Parks. I recall my cousin ordering a Portobello Mushroom sandwich (Yuck!) when we went to Disneyland last year. But, overall I don't believe that the demand for vegetarian foods will be great enough to get Theme Parks to make anything other than minor additions to their food choices. Lets face it, the majority of people attending Theme Parks want to eat something that once had "Parents", (Cows, Pigs, Chickens, Fish, Etc...) that's reality, and it's not likely to change anytime soon. But still, aside from bringing your own food (Which is a hassle) keep your eyes open for those rarely noticed Fruit Stands, they do exist today, whereas I don't think that they were available five years ago.....In the end, if the market demands it, I'm sure that Theme Parks will adjust to what people want.
  10. Wow I wonder which is worse? Being spooged on by the Oozinator, or by a Water-Filled Dummie passing over your head during the testing of Tatsu? Who can we ask??? At first I thought this was a skit from Comedy Central or some other show, but it's listed on Amazon for $24.99! (It has a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5) Apparently many people enjoy playing with their Oozinators!
  11. Wow Kc7gr that was one long 1st post! I almost finished reading the whole thing!......................................Just kidding! When I visited Florida a couple of years ago, I wanted to visit Discovery Cove. But, after visiting Universals IOA, and all the Disney Parks, I didn't have enough time left to visit Discovery Cove. By the sound of your Trip Report, it looks like I didn't miss as much as I thought I had. It's unfortunate that they lecture to you about interacting with Wild Dolphins, when most captive Dolphins are captured from the wild, taken from their families, and forced to live in often small man-made lagoons. I read some sad statistics that stated that half of all captured Dolphins die within the first two years of captivity, whereas Wild dolphins can live up to 40 years. When some friends and I went on a multi-day Dive Trip off the coast of Belize, we interacted with many Wild Dolphins! It was one of the highlights of our trip to Central America. These Wild Dolphins were very social, infact when we were on a actual dive at about 110ft deep, they swam around and playfully interacted with us, and then they would go up to the surface and a hang around with the people who were snorkeling. (I have it all on tape--It's great footage) Dolphins are amazing and intelligent animals, if anyone who happens to be swimming in the ocean (anywhere) and gets the random chance to interact with these graceful mammals of the deep, I wouldn't let the chance pass you by.
  12. ^Don't roll your eyes V2-dude, and go for it! That's of course assuming you want to get your Ass Kicked back to "Public" school! For everyone else, you should be able to get away with dropping your pants on that day, just tell everyone that your celebrating Cinco de Mayo! (That way people will smile and assume that you've overindulged on one to many Margaritas)
  13. Which attraction will the Disney Imaginers "Reinvent" next? One obvious choice is Star Tours (There have been rumors for years) But, I could also see Disney eventually "Updating" Autopia to match the Pixar automobiles from the upcoming movie "Cars". Whereas, I don't personally believe that the Disney Imaginers should necessarily "Reinvent" or redo preexisting attractions, it seems to be what the Imaginers and or Disney management like to do. One ride I wouldn't mind seeing them bring back in some new and creative way, would be the PeopleMover. This was a great yet simple attraction, where you could just kick back with your friends/family for a enjoyable 15 minute journey thru Tomorrowland. It's hard to believe that this missed attraction has been gone for over ten years.

  15. Your Theme Park looks impressive! I know that RCT 3 is considered to have superior graphics, but I enjoy the original version of the series so much more. Besides, only the early version of this game has a peep named "Elissa White".
  16. Wow a Marlins Fan! (I didn't know there were any left) Where is your "Paper Shopping Bag" for your head? Were you wearing it in the photos you didn't post? You were after all sitting behind Home Plate, someone might have actually seen you on your TV news broadcast, or on the internet on MLB TV. The Shame! The Horror! The Humiliation would be unbearable! So when the Marlins ownership bails out of Florida for possibly Las Vegas? Will you still be rooting for them? I'm also curious about your tickets for the Batters Box, they would usually cost you at least a Kidney at a Red Sox's or Yankee game, how much are they for the Marlins? But, all kidding aside, nobody can knock the fact that the Marlins have not one but two World Series Championships in the past ten years! The other mega-payroll teams can't make the same claim! It's to bad that things didn't work out in Florida, but I don't blame the locals for telling the ownership to take a hike when it comes to funding a new stadium. The Baseball teams are often given all sorts of tax breaks and subsidies, its ridiculous! Anyhow, your in for a long season, but at least you had great seats to watch the game! I've been to several Angels games here in Orange County, and my seats were never as good as yours!!!
  17. I just tried Dr Pepper's latest Soda Fountain Classic "Berries & Cream" It's a decent new flavor, though the original Dr Pepper is and always will be the best!
  18. Who the heck is Mario Williams??? Until two days ago, I can't even remember his name being mentioned, and he's the number one pick?! If this guy wasn't in that kind of demand, then why didn't Texas give up the 1st overall pick to the Jets or Greenbay? I imagine that Mario would still have been available for the forth or fifth pick, and this way Texas wouldn't have to "Overpay" him for being the top choice. Reggie Bush must have a bruised ego today!!! He did give a 99.9% guarantee that he would be the top pick!
  19. ^^^"Here be Dragons" No civilization, people EAT each other here!

^Burj Al Arab This world class hotel is built in the shape of an Arabian dhow sail and dominates the Dubai coastline. The Burj Al Arab-The Arabian Tower- is also the world's tallest and most architechurally advanced hotel in the world. Also, as an added bonus for staying here as a guest, you receive unlimited access to "Wild Wadi" water park!

    dubai

Well the best person to ask this question is TPR's resident expert on Dubai, Mr. "dubaidave" Dubai is growing at an unprecedented rate, they will undoubtedly build some world class(Disney-type) theme parks in the near future. One great park in the country at the moment is the Wild Wadi waterpark. The Discovery Channel did a special on Wild Wadi, and it combined an excellent theme with all the best water attractions available. Also in case you plan to visit Egypt, dubaidave is also considered the "New" expert on themeparks it that country as well!!!
  22. Wow just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, here comes the second set of photos! So dubaidave, did you say you took a tour of a Theme Park in Egypt or the local dump??? I mean with all of the trash and used tires laying around, I can't tell.
  23. Shepp, you don't really want to quit this thread??? You obviously like to state your opinions, as do I. There were several significant developments that lead to the war in Iraq. 1st. Saddams continued violations of the 1991 cease-fire agreement, No-Fly Zones Etc...(This I covered in an earlier posting) 2nd. Since the start of 2002, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi-Annan had been trying to persuade Iraqi officals to let weapons inspectors back into Iraq. In May, Annan gave up, realizing his efforts were futile. Annans failure dealt a serious blow to those --chiefly Colin Powell's State Department-- who were advocating diplomatic pressure against Saddam. 3rd. On June 1st 2002, President Bush delivered a speech at West Point, declaring a new U.S. doctrine of "Pre-emptive action" against "Unbalanced dictators with weapons of mass destruction" If Saddam hadn't been to obstinate and miscalculating and had agreed to Annan's request to re-admit U.N. Inspectors, the war may have been prevented outright. This was in fact Saddam's chance to prove conclusively to the world that he didn't possess WMD's, if Saddam didn't possess WMD's (Which might now be buried in the Iraqi desert somewhere, or shipped off to a country like Syria, never to be found) then why not let the U.N. Inspectors in? Saddam alone chose this clearly provactive action which lead to his eventual downfall. Let's face it, Iraq is a large country, with countless places to hide WMD's, and WMD's doesn't just include Nuclear type weapons, but also Biological, which Saddam has already shown a propensity to use. As for Saddam's possible involvement with Al Qaeda, I wasn't aware that you had personally spoken to Saddam himself, and found out that he wasn't involved with this fanatical group of terrorists. Also, just because Saddam hasn't admitted he would be willing to assist Al Queda doesn't mean he hasn't. Let's be honest here, both Saddam and Al Qaeda share similar thoughts, (an intense hatred of the United States and all that it represents) with either one of them being more than willing to do anything to bring about its destruction.
  24. ^Well Shepp, not to stir the pot to much (and risk having the thread locked again), but are you "quittin' this thread" because several people have given conclusive evidence that directly contradicts your opinions??? I imagine your real irritation is against the Republican Party in general. You said that the Presidents rush to war was "emotionalism trumping sober judgement", that's interesting because that quote could also discribe your post on this thread. You've taken a thread about Terrorism, and listed all the things you dislike about the Republican leadership (Global Warming, Medical Marijuana, Katrina, The Morning After Pill, Abortion Etc..) As for Jenna Bush seeing "Action in Iraq", you seem to have forgotten that the U.S. has an all-volunteer military force, and that there are zero conscripts servings in the U.S. military. If Jenna chose the path of a military career, I'm certain she would be honored to serve in Iraq. I'm just Thankful to live in a Free Country, where we have the ability to agree or disagree and openly debate our positions (like on this forum). These freedoms, that many take for granted, would never have existed in a country like Iraq. The battle against Terrorism will be a long and difficult one, but in the end we can and will succeed.
  25. You should be counting your blessings that so many rides were closed! The park operators may have inadvertently "Saved" your life.
