  1. ^That has been rumored since before Manta was built. I'd place my bets on Busch Gardens Tampa Bay getting a hyper before SeaWorld Orlando ever does.
  2. Considering most coasters don't get a queue with theming besides some metal switchbacks and some fans, I'll take a slightly stiff-looking animatronic any day. And knowing how much time Universal expects guests to be waiting in that queue, I think you'll be impressed when you see them in person... Sometimes video just doesn't do justice for what your eyes should be seeing firsthand.
  3. This ride looks absolutely gorgeous! Mexico continues to become more and more enticing with each update...
  4. I was bummed to hear that Delgrosso's couldn't pull off getting this ride installed after our visit in 2006, but it is great to see it living on, even if it is so far away!
  5. I love that the observation tower and the drop tower are so close to each other. Definitely presents a unique skyline for the park!
  6. ^It is expected that the grand opening date will be announced on the Today Show soon, but based on pass holder blackout dates, it will likely be in the first part of June.

  10. It is interesting to see the launch and turnaround for this mat racer face the opposite direction of the downhill portion of the ride, since it seemed like this was going to be a clone of the model installed at Orlando's Aquatica. Either way, it will definitely be a solid addition to what appears to be a fantastic park!
  11. ^To be built, then break down and then be removed from the park.
  12. ^I've considered it, but the grilled angus ribeye steak is far too incredible not to order in addition to those wonderful appetizers.
  13. That looks great! A great addition for such a nice park.
  14. ^Along with the Carthay House Biscuits, I'd agree.
  15. I seriously need to consider going with TPR the next time they do a Mexico trip...
  16. The only thing that makes me a little more optimistic about the notion that it could be a Superman clone, is that it could end up with those fast-switching station platforms like Bosque Magico just announced their version will be having. At the end of the day, a new coaster is never a bad thing. And a new coaster at Busch Gardens is especially a good thing. I like to believe that if they really are adding a ride like this, there will be some kind of thematic element and operational benefit that justifies it beyond what we as the enthusiasts can speculate on from the outside.

  18. ^I'd imagine that move was more as a last step to try and salvage the attraction. I'm guessing the decision was made after seeing how it operated during that season, that it was no longer a viable operating attraction for either side of the park.
  19. Yep, that's definitely Twist and Shout. Scorpion has no shrubbery within its footprint, as the ride is themed to being in the dessert. Plus Busch Gardens confirmed to us during the Falcon's Fury construction tour that Scorpion is an important entry-level coaster for the park's younger guests.
