^I wouldn't expect something that fancy... I think that description was meant to shed light on the alien, as opposed to what would come in the haunt. In the previous film (to which this new film is a prequel), the alien did take on the forms of several humans, dogs and other creatures. In the past two houses which featured The Thing at Halloween Horror Nights (The Thing: Assimilation and Silver Screams), the alien showed up in human form, as the human head/spider and as the transforming-from-its-dog-form creature.

In the past, I've seen them try to pair up single riders for doubles-only rides, but there are never any guarantees.

SeaWorld Orlando has sent us a press release regarding the arrival of a stranded pilot whale to its new cetacean rehabilitation facility. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Pilot_Whale_Transport_F_y71n[/coastertube] SeaWorld Orlando’s rescue team carefully moves a young pilot whale early Saturday morning, July 23. The whale - one of more than 20 that beached themselves in the lower Florida Keys in early May - is considered a dependent calf and is unable to be returned to the wild. The National Marine Fisheries Service chose SeaWorld as the whale’s home because of the park’s expertise with pilot whales and other stranded animals. The whale was being cared for by SeaWorld and volunteers at the Marine Mammal Conservancy in Key Largo, Fla. Stranded animal experts from SeaWorld Orlando gently place a young pilot whale into the water at the park’s animal rescue facility early Saturday morning, July 23. ^ICE! is held exclusively in the hotel's convention center, although the other holiday activities take place in some of the other convention space, as well as in the hotel's atrium plaza (where this report's event took place). The put in a large amount of programmable lights under the atrium, normally sponsored by Siemens and synchronized to holiday music as well. Of all of the hotels that do special overlays for the holidays, this is always my favorite! Oh, and Scott, I forgot to answer your question! They have several restaurants inside the hotel, one of which in Key West, one in the Everglades section, a sushi restaurant in the Plaza and then the buffet. The buffet changes cuisines each night, and I've eaten there several times, trying both the Spanish and French cuisines (the French being my favorite). I went there for my birthday several times in the last few years--it was that good! As for the other restaurants, I've yet to try them out--price being the biggest factor in that decision.

^^ICE is a Winter offering held in the hotel's convention center in which they seal off the venue and cool it below freezing. They fill a huge section of that space with themed ice sculptures, ice slides (and started last year, a separate ticket offering with snow) for the event. I covered it a few years ago here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=53659 It's something I do every few years, but it is definitely worth it! ^Come back to Orlando and we'll hit Key West to your satisfaction--and make a trip report out of it!
