  1. That (in spite of the fact that said rumor does sound nice) instantly sets off my bullshit detector
  2. I take it that Green Lantern: First Flight is still out of action? If I make it out to MM next year, what the hell; I'd give it a shot
  3. I actually thought Iron Eagle was a decent flat ride, I wonder why they junked it all those years ago? And the idea of RMC conversion for Wild One . . . umm, wouldn't that invalidate the ACE Coaster Landmark award WO got this year? (For what it's worth, said plaque isn't in front of the ride anymore) Floor-less Apocalypse; meh - RMC Raptor - Schwing!
  4. Or maybe "Son of Beast" could be a code-name for a possible Giga coming to KI?
  5. Superman: Ride of Steel and Nitro. One day, I'd like to see a B&M Inverted Hypercoaster (I know Alpengeist comes close at 195 feet high)
  6. My guess is . . . on August 16th, Roar will be no more And a Firebird rises in it's place
  7. And don't forget that SORA usually has it's last ride about 4 or 4:30.
  8. So what's the issue with LR now?
  9. 1. The days I've been this summer, have had a fair number of camp group outings 2. For Wild One and Roar, I always go full frontal as far as seating goes. Superman: Ride of Steel, back row 3. Oh yeah, Hurricane Harbor does get packed 4. Used to, it was removed last year.
  10. Interesting photos. Yeah that theater has been dark for a LONG time (perhaps they are finally gutting it), I only see personnel go in there to change in/out of costumes. And wasn't the Iron Eagle (Rotoshaker) where the Zydeco Zinger is right now?
  11. Dreary and rainy most of the week in Maryland
  12. Ice Cream Which would you rather see get the RMC 'Iron Horse' treatment: Roar (Six Flags America) or Predator (Darien Lake)?
  13. Yeah, when I was there last week I was really surprised that all the water rides were down for the day. I for one would like Blizzard River to be replaced by a Raptor or T-Rex. I know BR doesn't operate early/late in the season because of cooler weather, so why not have something that can go year round? And maybe between Batwing and S:ROS, a Sky Rocket II could fit in.
  14. Yeah. Wahoo River itself has had a borderline negative affect on the waterpark (loss of main stage, Only one walkway, etc) but due to its seemingly cheap price they added essential upgrades such as new flooring in the wave pool and brand new equipment for the kids water play area. A vast improvement is a good way to put what they added. Does it look nice? Yes. But, they really didn't do that much as they made it sound on the advertisements. I was very let down with the "wave" effect, I barely felt it. Its a huge let down compared to the wave lazy river at Schliterbahn. I hate that new GIANT planter they added where the pizza stand is in the water park. There is now not enough room to move on that pathway. They should have just added more tables! They need it on busy days. When I was there 7/4 there were no where enough tables. So many people sitting on the ground eating. I am excited to see the future of this water park. Its clearly the money maker for the park (besides Fright Fest). The additions they have added have been pretty good. Now, I want them to add some customer slides. Bahmama Blast is my favorite slide because its custom. The Tornado, Halfpipe, and Bonzai Pipeline are pretty much becoming way too common for water parks now. As I have said before I really enjoy that they changed Hammerhead and Mako to be tubeless. Too many people flew out of them and ran into the stairs. Also, very happy they have held onto Zoomazon Falls. Even though I miss riding them on a tube and almost flying out they are still pretty fun as body slides. Yeah, I remember nearly hitting the stairs on Hammerhead/Mako. And I can get decent airtime on them, which is well worth minor scratches on my back. As for Zoomazon Falls, for whatever reason the green slide is the fastest
  15. So how much better is Timber Wolf after the replacement of the helix with the banked turn?
  16. S&S Free Spin Old School Schwarzkopf loopers: Mind Bender (SFOG) or Shockwave (SFOT)
  17. What about Great Nor'Easter at Morey's Piers? At first people would think, "oh no, it's an SLC", but from what I've read, after the re-tracking and new cars, it's a good ride
  18. Yeah, I miss the stage by the old Lazy River. They could have kept it. Anyhow, I'm wondering what the new thing for SFA will be for 2019. I'm thinking it'll be either a. new trains for ME; b. new trains for Batwing or c. Roar gets RMC'd. Most likely will be b.
  19. I'm liking Steel Curtain. Could this be the beginning of a new generation of Custom Mega Loopers?
  20. So if I ever make a trip to Kennywood, I'll make sure to wear my Baltimore Ravens shirt and ride Steel Curtain (just to be a smart ass )
  21. So hopefully this winter (December or January), I'll get off my ass at make it to Magic Mountain. I figure that crowds won't be that big in the winter, so a Flash Pass will NOT likely be needed. What are some good hotels nearby? Specifically, ones that offer a shuttle to and from the park? As as for the coasters, well . . . is there a so called "magic seat" for Viper? And X2, inner or outer seat?
  22. yes, but it'll take a LONG time to do so. Is it appropriate to go commando at an Amusement/Theme park
  23. Well I was there today, and the sign of Batwing being down until further notice was still up. I asked an attendant at S:ROS what was going on there and I was told Batwing is getting some kind of an upgrade. Maybe it'll be new trains like what they have on the Stingray model.
  24. How come Volcano has been down a LOT this season?
  25. Maybe Hell will freeze over and an official announcement will be made that Roar does get RMC'd
