  1. Plain Pasta ... plain Chicken ... Plain Bread = Elissa's dinner ... 100%.
  2. Don't know what this is, what it's supposed to be. I didn't get through the first sentance. My eyes were hurting.
  3. It just depends on the kid. Our youngest never had ANY fear when it came to coasters. Our youngest was a bit apprehensive. He finally got on Revolution at SFMM last week and loved it. Just give it time. Don't try to get them on the biggest baddest coaster from day one. Start small and work your way up.
  4. No ... Would you pose naked if paid enough $$$?
  5. Sounds cool, but from the pics it doesn't indicate if you can actually ride the rides or not. If you can't ride the rides, what's the point?
  6. First was WDW's Space Mountain. I spent a lot of time cringing away from the more "grown up" coasters during the rest of my misspent youth (in fact, I chickened out of Loch Ness Monster and Big Bad Wolf when I was 14. I can't imagine being intimidated by Loch Ness Monster today). I didn't cross over into the big league until a trip to SFOG had me on GASM and Mindbender (there wasn't a whole lot else there worth talking about at the time - it was, I believe, the summer of 1990). The only thing I won't ride today? Scramblers. Shut up, kids. You'll get old one day too.
  7. I'm all for smoking areas, though as a rule I try to avoid smoking in Disney parks (excluding Epcot - you can't have that much alcohol without needing a cigarette). I wish park employees could be more stringent on enforcing the smoking-areas-only policies, but the simple fact of the matter is that a certain percentage of smokers - just like a certain percentage of any other group of folks you can lump together - are real schmucks. I've seen people get almost stupidly offended when told they couldn't smoke in the line for Spider-Man (and this is the indoor section of the queue, not the outer areas!). I personally think these folks should be ejected from the parks, but let's be honest - no park has the stones to do that. Oh, and can we also reserve a corner of hell for the people who talked on their cell phones throughout El Rio del Tiempo last time I was there?
  8. Toss another atheist on the fire. I did go to a Southern Baptist church for about a year when I was a Senior in high school, but it was for a less than noble purpose. (and no, I failed to get any. learn from my example) Just to add to someone else's comments, it's quite commendable that everyone here is being so cool with everyone else's belief systems. Rather odd when you consider we could probably almost get into a flame war over a "what's better - WDW or DL" discussion...
  9. Damn ... I liked the Hillbillies. They were funny.
  10. Watched the first hour, it was great. Pissed I only taped until 10pm. So who got eliminated??? If I had to guess I would say the Old Folks or the Married Couple.
  11. It depends on what you want to ride. If you want to ride X, get at the park 30 minutes before open and run straight to X. After that head back to Riddlers, Batman, Scream, Colossus and Goliath. If Superman is open head up and hit that, and Ninja. If you don't want to ride X, you can get there at 10 and just walk your way over to Goliath. Then hit Scream, Colossus, Batman, Riddlers then Superman. Most everything is 2 trains now. Where to sit. I usually prefer the back. I haven't noticed alot of difference in Magic Mountain's coasters no matter where you sit. Where to eat? Not at Magic Mountain. Right down the hill are Wendy's, Del Taco, Jack in the Box, Jimmy Deans. A mile up on Magic Mtn. Pkwy there is a mall.
  12. Pants: Jeans (The only ones that really fit me anymore, the rest are too big) Shirt: Eddie Bauer long sleeved pullover, it's blue and grey Shoe's: Black Socks: White Undies: Black
  13. Starbucks = :radio: It's all about Coffee Bean - Extreme Ice Blended!!!
  14. They are great policies, when they are enforced. Disneyland has had such a policy in effect for years, but people still smoke wherever and CM's don't usually say anything. It also depends on where they put the smoking areas. There used to be one by Splash Mountain and you could smell the smoke from the ride after the final drop. It was nasty.
  15. http://www.wdwvirtualvisit.com/index.html It's a virtual photo tour of WDW. The only "land" up right now is Main Street U.S.A. You can select which way you want to go and even ride the train, so far. It was a little hard for me to navigate since I don't know WDW at all. But there are little direction tips on the tops of the pics. You can explore all of Main Street, the shops all the way to the Hub. I guess you can Pay and see video's, but the pics, IMO are pretty cool. Enjoy.
  16. 2 HOURS!!!! Damn, forgot to check my local listings. Was it 8 - 10 or 9 - 11??? I only have my VCR taping from 9 - 10. Gregg "I need TIVO or DVR already" C.
  17. I know Cedar Fair woudn't go for that. (Using the paramount name) What I would like to know is why would CF buy yet ANOTHER park in Ohio. (PKI) Even buying PGA is pushing it considering they already have Knott's. I could see them buying Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds or PKD but not PKI.
  18. I wish I had been to more Disney parks except for 2. Oh well. My Nominations: Pirates of the Carribean (Disneyland) California Screamin' (DCA) Tower of Terror (DCA)
  19. I wouldn't actually want to win anything, but maybe I will tweak around at making a video for the heck of it. Gregg "Will have fun helping R&E go through the entries again this year" C.
  20. I actually thought the Buzz AA character in both the Queue and the ride looked very cool. I haven't ridden the WDW or the Tokyo version so I am actually looking forward to this. Of course I we won't be making a trip to DL JUST to ride this, but it looks promising.
  21. http://www.mouseinfo.com/showupdate.php?id=20050228&page=1 There are a total of 4 videos, one of the queue and 3 of the actual attraction. The Video is actually pretty clear and gives you a nice preview of the attraction.
  22. First off, I have to say I'm VERY impressed with this topic. Usually when people get into the realm of religion it turns into a big flame war because people just don't know how to respect peoples beliefs, or lack thereof. I have seen these things erupt into huge fights on lots of different sites. I mean, one of my best friends (Robb) is an athiest, and I believe in God. It's not an issue. I don't try to convert him, he doesn't try to un-convert me. It's called respect, and we need to have it for people regardless of their religion. I should have elaborated myself on my original post. I did not grow up in the church, started going when I was about 16. I was even going to school to become a pastor at one point in my life. I then made some "mistakes" (I don't consider them mistakes, but the church sure does). My wife (then my fiance') got pregnant out of wedlock and things really started to change for us in our church life. We got married before our daughter was born (married almost 10 years now) but it seemed that was never enough for our so called "Friends" in the church. Not all, but alot never quite looked at us the same way. We did end up staying in that church for a few more years though. We then decided to move to a bigger church in hopes that we could put things behind us and start anew. Of course, with a bigger church, comes bigger problems. It seemed, to me, that they were only interested in $$ and how many people were sitting in the pews each sunday. I mean, you even had to go to "Class" to become a member. That, to me, was ridiculous. That was about 5 years ago now and we haven't been back since. We still believe in God, and Jesus but we just see so many problems with the modern church that it's hard for us to even attempt to find a place where we live now. I just think that alot of people who claim to speak for God are complete idiots
  23. Goliath at SFMM. It was a decent ride I guess. Gregg "Photo Courtesy of TPR" C.
  24. Watched Shaun of the Dead on Saturday and Garden State this morning. Both were VERY good. Shaun of the Dead was frickin' hilarious and Garden State was better than I thought it would be.
  25. ^ Knott's is not considered a smaller park within the chain. Sure it's not the 'flagship' park, but it's within 3 hours of 8 million people. NOT a small park. Gregg "Glad I didn't have Robb pick up our AP's yesterday" C.
