  1. Madagascar Cute movie. Not anywhere as good as Shrek 2, but it was better than Shark Tale IMO.
  2. Just make sure your not dehydrated when you ride it. You don't go backwards THAT much.
  3. I can't swim. Ridiculous, I know. As a result, I don't really know what I can or can't do at a waterpark, so I haven't been to one yet. Besides, I look pretty godawful with my shirt off anyways. I'm working on the latter issue, then I guess I'll have to think about the former. But for now, they all scare the piss outta me.
  4. ^^^wtf? If I want to see a large selection of movie posters, I'll go look in the closet. If I want to see ads for other websites, I'll go to some other website that is covered with popups (koff koff Screamscape koff koff)
  5. Probably guilty. Probably gonna get off the hook. Oh, and I'm reporting Shadowforce to the authorities.
  6. Pshaw. All the Travel Channel shows are fluff - yet I still watch them. I remember last summer, pulling into the parking lot of PKD and laying eyes on Volcano. All I could think was "holy crap, this ride looked so awesome on the Travel Channel show - I can't believe we're finally here!!!" I was thinking this over Volcano? What the hell was I on? Here's my capsule review of Volcano - "blows its load in 15 seconds, then takes a nice long nap." Every coaster at BGW was better - yeah, even the Loch Ness Monster.
  7. I've written several scathing letters to the Disney corporation about how they need to do everything in their power to make this so called "gathering" of these so called "people" go away forever. I'm calling for some kind of a standardized test to be presented to all guests arriving at WDW on the days in question. Whether or not a person will be permitted to attend shall be based on their knowledge (or lack thereof) regarding 1. monster trucks, 2. professional wrestling, 3. Deuteronomy (this part is actually a trick, just to see if any of them think I'm referring to Old Deuteronomy from "Cats." and 4. Toby Keith's wonderfully stirring music. Anyone who fails to pass the test (or falls for the "Cats" trick will be forced to swim back to the TTC. Oh, did I mention that we were going to buy some piranah for Seven Seas Lagoon? Granted, this is going to severely make life rough for the parasailing/water-skiing crowd, but it's what has to be done to make Disney as straight-friendly as possible. If this takes off, I think we can also start the "no shirt, no shoes, no kids, no entry" policy. Adults who don't go to Disney with children clearly aren't adhering to the old "be fruitful and multiply" thing. They'll be escorted to private rooms at the Grand Floridian where they'll be forced to watch pornographic material until they fulfill the need to reproduce. Oh, wait. I think the AFA called off their Disney boycott last week. They've now set their sights on the hedonistic FORD company. Fine, we'll let the gay people have Disney. Never mind. /if anyone took a shred of this sincerely, please see a therapist. //Disney doesn't care if you're gay, straight, bi, tri, or a hermaphrodite. As long as your pockets are lined with cash, all are welcome. ///Walt Disney, the man, however...well, draw your own conclusions. ////I'd fail miserably at a test that meets the standards given above. In fact, I'd fall for the Deuteronomy trick. It all stems back to this time when I was a kid and Mr. Mistoffelees....I can't talk about it now...
  8. Damn, I never thought I'd do a spittake in the first two seconds of a video. Nice song choice
  9. Yeah, I actually set the DVR to tape this and watched it today, well parts of it. It had Hypersonic, Volcano, the SLC, Wicked Twister and Gemeni at CP for some reason. It also shows S:UF at SFOG. Just watching the Hypersonic, Volcano and SLC footage gave me a headache, it was pretty bad. Although I did learn something: I didn't know that both Wicked Twister towers had spirals.
  10. Damnit, you mean I didn't need to lose weight? And I just got ride of all my really big clothes.
  11. ^^^^look, I didn't pay attention to who the author of the post was, so all I saw was "another Sheikra video with something different." For all I knew, that coulda meant it was Sheikra getting attacked by flying wootah heads from the Fourth Dimension or something. Okay, maybe THAT would have been worth a look. So now that I've seen it. Damn. That looks like a hella lotta fun. I don't care much for the little tunnel thing on the second drop - it doesn't really look like it's menacing at all, and I like to be menaced on my coasters... As far as the edit goes, I see where previous folks have mentioned that they weren't big on the "pausing a moment before the coaster enters the frame" thing. I'm in that camp, but it could very easily be that I'm just not getting exactly what you're doing in those shots - you mentioned something earlier about wanting the coaster to "dance" with the music. I think i get what you mean (we did the same thing (by total accident) in our video - wait, I mean it was totally on purpose!), but I'm not quite getting it visually. I'll write that off as my own inability, not yours. As far as using the effects go...while I'm not a fan of most of those things, I really liked the transitional effect you used to go into the POV and out of it. I usually write those things off as laziness on the creator's part, but in this case you have a clear reason to utilize it. Maybe I should clarify a bit - I hate the effect, but you made me like it. Curse you! And you're still dodging the "how the hell did you get a camera onto it" question.
  12. ^^^nah. We're Americans! We'll just find a way to bend the ADA to our whims and sue the pants off 'em! I can tag it onto the lawsuit I'm slapping on Paramount because my legs are too long to ride Flight of Fear in anything resembling comfort.
  13. That's why I'm glad I opted out of the "Hulk from across the lake" shot. 'Cause god knows I shot it from Me Ship The Olive, Jurassic Park, and the backside of Mythos... What can I say? Hulk loves the camera.
  14. If you are going to World of Coke be sure to check out the Underground as well. It's actually pretty cool. Enjoy Stone Mtn, it is certainly awesome. I didn't want to leave when we stayed there for 5 days in April. Try to stay at the Mariott in Stone Mtn. at least one night. It's called Evergreen resort. Enjoy SFOG, it's a really good park. Are you going to be able to hit Dollywood or Wild Adventures while you are in the area?
  15. We will be at the DLR on the 12th (I think). PM me to remind me and I will get the pic for you. Gregg "We forgot to send ours in" C.
  16. Best - Indy, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Jungle Cruise Worst - Medusa at SFMW ... I guess the line is somewhat themed, but once you get into that station it's awful. The lines for the rows are 3 people wide so it's hard to tell how many people are in front of you.
  17. Same here - I kinda disregarded this topic when it first rolled around because I didn't realize it was an actual "good" video (as opposed to those horrid "one guy with a camera standing in one spot shooting what little bits and pieces of the coaster he can get in one take" videos). If you get a chance to get it back online, please give a shout-out (or at least a PM!).
  18. Sad but true, bgwfreak. That's part of the reason I shave my head before we go to parks. Somehow I can exude a little more of a menacing vibe when I'm shiny. That system doesn't work quite as well if they see me riding the weirdass cow thing in "If I Ran the Zoo," however...
  19. Yeah, maybe next year Florida parks should get their own contest... Of course if you do that, no one will enter one. One of the biggest problems with the Universal parks is that there's only so many spots where you can (legally) get good shots of an attraction like, say, Dueling Dragons. You start to notice that the same angles pop up in almost every video (certainly not the fault of the videomaker - a good shot IS a good shot) because...well, that's really the only good angle available. I'm surprised by the parks that I haven't seen as well. No one's done a strong WDW video yet (or it hasn't posted yet - if I'm forgetting one, it's purely that I forgot, not that I'm trying to talk smack about it!!!!!!).
  20. It depends on the park, the ride and the ride op. For example, this past weekend at SFMW I could take the camera on Roar and Cobra, but not the kiddie coaster. At PGA I had absolutely no problems on any of the rides we rode, same at Bonfante.
  21. Steel: Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFOG) Mr Freeze (SFOT) Xcelerator (Knott's) Top Gun (PGA) CA Screamin' (DCA) Poltergeist (SFFT) Goliath (SFMM) Superman Krypton Coaster (SFFT) V2 Vertical Velocity (SFMW) Georgia Scorcher (SFOG) Wood: Great American Scream Machine (SFOG) Roar (SFMW) Georgia Cyclone (SFOG) Rattler (SFFT) Judge Roy Scream (SFOT)
  22. Great TR, it's fun to do stuff besides parks on trips sometimes, as we experienced this past weekend. ^^ They do have beer at SoCal ballgames, and do sell them in the stands. I think Rick was referring to NorCal ballparks that only sell beer at beer stands, but not actually in the stands. I mean, what do you expect from the Giants and A's.
  23. I've never been scared enough of a slide to not go on it. The only time I was mildly freaked out was Drop Out when I was about 12. Other than that give me whatever.
  24. ^ I roadied for Stryper once ... don't get me started ...
  25. Never even heard of it ... guess I won't miss it ...
