  1. I'm not really into robotics, but the building I follow my classes in, has this football field where students who almost got their MSc develop complete autonomos soccer playing robot. Pretty interesting to see.
  2. IMO they should sell tasers to queuing people to zap line jumpers.
  3. 'Play with our cats' in las vegas made me think of something very different. Looks like a lot of fun.
  4. Lol guys, I know it's pumpy, that's because I'm still working on the actual layout. Once everything falls into place, i'll start smoothing things out. Anyways, I need the help of the riders once again. I can't get any pictures of the section from the turnaround that goes around the pre-drop to the station flythrough. The POV that's on youtube is kinda useless because the less is humid after the tunnel and takes a long time to readjust to the light, making the drop out of the tunnel and following turn unable to see. Here's a link to the pictures of my ride, where I just threw something in what I tought was right, but I'd like some confirmation or help from your side. http://img2.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=terminatorsalvation0905.jpg
  5. Armed with just some skytower images and a POV, I started trackwork on Terminator Salvation. Trackwork now is far from done, because I'd first like some feedback from some peeps who have ridden it, making sure it all fits.
  6. If Troy's is bigger, it would on be a foot or two wider, certainly not more. I can't wait untill August to how this baby rides.
  7. Here's a shot from Troy in Toverland during a winter sunset.
  8. Yeah, well of course he'll say that. It's not like he's going to say it is bad or something with the press around.
  9. How ironic, wearing a Troy-shirt on Prowler And why is Patriot one car short? It looks really odd seeing a B&M invert with only 7 cars.
  10. That some nice work, the detail on Talocan is incredible. Can't wait to see how you pull off Black Mamba
  11. This....Made....My....Day!! Well, actually the above quote and the AWESOME flashback to last summer with the update. I'm at my office giggling over my desk as I type. Can't freaking wait until July! David Did you get a flashback to the point where you said to scan the griffon on-ride photo?
  12. 1. Create a hill that has 0 vertical G's in the middle of the train on the top of the hill. 2. Divide the hill into 6 segments. 1=pull up, 2=start twisting, 3=first half of top, 4=second half of top, 5= ending twisting, 6 = pull out. I usually make sure 2 and 3 combined have the same lenght as 1. 3. Bank the track so it forms a spin. 4. Make segment 3 pure green and 4 pure red, leave the rest white 5. AHG, it should work now.
  13. Image what happens when they test run during the day? The GP would be going to the area wanting to ride it. And, perhaps more important, if something goes not as planned, the GP thinks it'll crash or explode or something.
  14. Nice ones Robb, it's really cool to review that craziness back in august.
  15. Does it really matter that much? Last time I checked, Storm Runner launch speed is not depening on coaster count. Just have a good time at Hershey, that's what counts.
  16. Car 3 The trains potential energy is transformed into maxium kinetic energy in when the train is in the lowest positiion. That would mean car 3 is in the center, thus the middle of the drop. Before that, the train is still accelerating, and after, it will be decelerating.
  17. Smoothness and supports are both things you'll only learn by doing it a lot. The key to smoothing is making the track flow from one vertex to another. You do thing by changing the lengths of the control points. If the control points are to long, you'll see a bump in the middle of the segment. If the control points are to short, you'll see two bumps near the vertices. No Limits has a fine tool, the auto smoother, but that doesn't always work. As for supports, they are easy to make, but hard to actually build. As soon as you understand the basics, like placing and connecting nodes with different tubes, you can look at real coasters and see how they are supported. When applying those structures to your coaster, you'll get a very good result.
  18. No car for me yet. The goverment is giving me free public transport as long as I'm in University. I do look around sometimes, try to score a $1500 2nd-handed BMW, but still, it would cost me $110/month insurance, not counting taxes. So I'll just stick with the public transport, having the only advantage of being free.
  19. Nice ride Matt, but where the hell do you get the money for a car and two consegutive TPR-trips?
  20. Congrats to the both of you. I wish you all the luck with your son.
  21. I believe in the screenshot folder. It would seem the most logical place for them to appear. I could be wrong though, I haven't recorded something in ages.
  22. I'm loving the trains. The black seats and restraints make it stand out from the other trains. I sure do hope to ride this coasters in the future, hoping it has aged in right direction by then.
  23. FreeStyle music all the way! You got some nice shots there, I love the guitar head shot from R'n'R
  24. Why does it even matter? It just like people asking me what's with the three y's Bas-s
