  2. what i do is mostly random, i'm very easily bored on rollercoaster after hitting it ten times, after that i go screaming, hanging out the train, sleeping, that sorta things
  3. additionel info about the flying dutchman myth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Flying_Dutchman also the logo for the ride is sort of a rip-off from the VOC, the dutch schipping company during the colonization period, the eftling chanched the letters a bit : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Voc_logo.gif
  4. night, cos then the rest of the world is day and ppl are online
  5. you should have checked the box "insert the file into the track for me" when in the tunnelmaker, however, there is another way, to insert the file manually, go to options in the editor and make sure that at the 3ds import the box "auto-scale" is unchecked, then go to "scenery" and "choose scene object", go to the folder where your object is, select it and click in the editor where you want it, then move around with it untill is has the correct location
  6. I've got the same thing, but i think you shouldn't give it that much thought, just live your live, finish school, get a job, ride some coasters, it'll all go just fine, just keep the thumbs up and you'll be fine EDIT: btw, having an open conversation with someone high at your school, called counselor in holland, dunno your version, can really help getting and keeping your head up
  7. IMO NoLimits is far better than RCT3, just because of the fact that it's hard, because then you can see when someone really made an effort to make a coaster everyone can make an rct3 track, nolimits starts with crappy tracks, which, when looked upon later are actually quite amuseming. also the level of control in rct3 is very small, you work in tiles of what....10 by 10 ft? In NL you can work in centimeters, meters, you were you want it to snap, also for custom supportwork. The editor is very handy and the fact that both programs are apart, makes the desing in the editor quite fast because of the wireframe detail. As for scenery, you can add your own by making objects and terrain, such as lakes, hills, tunnels....
  8. omg, what's with those supports?? i'd really make then thinner, this is way oversupported, but they look nice
  9. from what i've heard and read on dithc sites, because the ears-section of the OTSR was to hard, the new trains give the rides more view rather than in the old vekoma's and the OTSR is softer
  10. lol, supports may take forever, but it's worth the wait and you'll get better and faster along the way
  11. In holland, The Efteling has an hotel in/next to it's park and WWO has got a park with all small cottages (whatever u call them) and i think it's cheaper to stay at those place, cos the price includes park visit and other extra stuff, when staying in another hotel or sumtin, you also need to pay the entrance and stuff, i don't know 'bout the other countries though and yeah, car rental is the best way to get around europe, it's not that big and you can drive from the southwest to norhteast in a few days
  12. i believe these are the new KumbaK trains, KumbaK are some ppl from vekoma who started for themselves, they also made the new trains for The Efteling's Python: http://www.rcdb.com/ig897.htm?picture=18
  13. i'll take a woodie with benches and a loooooong lift, so i guess beast or el toro (when it's done)
  14. If you're planning to go to holland, i don't know how old your son is, but for like kids the efteling and toverland are really fun, i live almost next door to toverland, so if you have any questions just ask
