Has anyone else realized, Cedar Fair confirmed that a park would be getting a dark ride this year, and WoF is the only park that still has an annoucement pending. Anyone think we're getting a TrioTech? -

Please don't kill me for this comment, but what if they're removing Shockwave, relocating it to Carowinds, and putting this in its place? -

Maybe this will be the steel coaster for Cedar Fair this year...... who knows?!?! -
I think now looking back over the clues, we'll be getting an RMC Trex and JL:BFM customized. I think people are under estamating the size of the land they have to work with and the budget they have to work with. Somebody high up in SFMM admin said that: "If you liked 2015, you're going to LOVE 2017." That just screams big thrill ride to me, and since we know they like to break all the records, what would be better than the tallest, and fastest coaster on the west coast!

I honestly think we'll see every park get a Planet (or Camp) Snoopy addition in the next 5 years also including the Pre-K pass. The Pre-K pass is such a great way to make money, you get new rides and you get the kids in the park, they love it and want to return every year and ride the bigger rides, and then you got a customer until they move or find a better park. Its shocking that they could come up with something this great -
I think that people are seriously under estamaiting the size of land opened. They could have a Justice League: Battle For Metropolis (but customized), 5-8 family/thrilling flats, 1-2 new restruants and a compact DC Superfriends kids area. This is not to say that they'll get all this, but I'm just trying to show you what they could fit. My money is on a customized JL:BFM, and a DC Superfriends Kids Area, with Bugs Bunny Boomtown replacing the current Looney Tunes kids sections

Same here based on his other posts. They seem to be too well worded. This probably isn't the place to talk about that as it's entirely off topic and I'm sorry about that but I'm officially creeped the hell out. I agree with Coasterbill, so I award him a -
Valleyfair (VF) Discussion Thread

My Plan: 2017: North Star and the Suprise Addition of Thunder Falls from Geauga Lake 2018: Huge year with the addition of a Gale Force Clone 2019: Planet Snoopy/Overall Improvements 2020: Family/Thrilling Flats 2021: A small family coaster (like Gadget's Go Coaster) and/or A New Show with more flats Now both Carowinds and Valleyfair were listed as growth parks, so if they got something like Carowinds got, I'd expect a lot more, maybe along the lines of this: 2017: North Star and Thunder Falls from Geauga Lake 2018: B&M invert or B&M Wing 2019: Planet Snoopy/Overall Improvements 2020: Major Flats Expansion and a waterslide complex 2021: Mass Effect/Plants vs. Zombies Dark Ride in traditional dark ride form instead of show styled form 2022: Mack Youngster Coaster The next coaster I could see after that is a Gale Force Clone in 2025 or 2026 -

Did anyone else realize that in the background of Snoopy at the fence right by Hurler, there was a poster that said Planet Snoopy on it with the rides they were adding I believe (don't quote me if I'm wrong). I think that we could still see an RMC Hurler, just annouced at a later time. I personally think that this Planet Snoopy "disappointment" is being used to draw everyone's attention away from the closure of WWK, so we all need to chill. Even if we didn't get a new coaster, we should be happy. We got a thrilling ride last year, so its the kids turn, we can't get a new coaster every year and I think we should be glad that we already have 2 world class coasters and several strong supporting ones. Please stop complaining everyone as my homepark hasn't gotten a thrilling attraction in 12 years, and you don't see everyone complaining after we went yet another year without one. They hyped it for a reason, lets just trust they know what their doing. Thank you -
This may sound shocking (cause it is) but I think MiA is getting a Triotech Dark Ride. CW and MiA are the only 2 parks that haven't annouced anything, and Cedar Fair said that they planned on a Dark Ride this year. CW already has a Triotech and the slides have already shown up, and the only park left in the chain that hasn't annouced anything is MiA. That leads me to believe that they'll be getting a Triotech. Any thoughts on this? I know it sounds wierd for MiA to possibly be getting such a big addition, but I think it'll happen!

I wouldn't count on it, at least with Green Lantern or Riddler's Revenge, since each of those parks already has a floorless. Given how Georgia Scorcher is widely regarded as one of the best stand-ups, I'd rule it out as well...leaving only Apocalypse and *maybe* Cobra at La Ronde if B&M would be willing to retrofit a coaster that isn't theirs (then again, they DID make Steel Dragon trains...). I saw an article with someone who knows some people who are higher ups in La Ronde and they will be removing Cobra later in the 2017 season and they've been planning on it for 10 years but have never gotten around to it. Their will be no new coaster for 2017, but they're planning on/hoping for 2018

RMC Hurler and Planet Snoopy Addition. Hurler Stuff: Red Track, added 20ft to the hieght of the ride, barrel down drop and a 200* reverse stall. A double up followed by a double down and some cool banking. Maybe rename it Firehawk? -
BGW or Hershey Park
Mr. Corn replied to Mr. Corn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Based on your comment, "...then have to kill about 6 hours before we'd get on our flight." It sounds like you are you talking about visiting a park in the morning and then flying out later the same day. That would really change the opinions on which park you should visit, as imho both BGW and Hershey require more than a few hours or 1/2 a day. Are you flying back to the West Coast? You may want to firm up your travel plans before deciding on a park. As someone who coordinates travel as part of my job, I can tell you airports near Williamsburg (Norfolk or Newport News) and Hershey (Harrisburg, PA) do not offer a whole lot of non-stops to the West Coast. Mostly they offer region service to a larger airports (think Atlanta or Charlotte) for connections and options would be limited later in the day. DC area airports offer the best selection of non-stops to the West Coast and I have taken non-stops flights to CA from Washington Dulles as late as 10pm. Also, the cost of flying back from a different city might be a deciding factor, as it usually gets priced by the airlines as two one-way fares instead of a roundtrip. Not to mention one way rental car fees can be triple the cost versus picking up and dropping at the same airport. Hope this helps. The main reason I said that is were also looking for things to do in the town outside the park. For example, we'll do the park Wednesday, spend the night, wake up, and kill sometime Thursday before getting on the flight again. My entire family would like to spend sometime in the town the day we fly out because I usually get later flights
