Sounds like you guys had a great time there. I agree that I'd ride El-Toro over Kingda Ka anyday. Great Adventure has come a long way over the years with cleaning up the park because it was becoming very trashy. Also the people saying your complaining remember you have to account for their age....... I'm looking forward to heading to the park but nothing new added is forcing me to go back there (I skipped last year). Until I ride Bizarro I can't put an opinion on that but I don't think it will be much different then "Medusa". -

More..... When we arrived the the park on Monday I could tell it was going to be another light crowd day. The weather was beautiful so I was pretty happy about that. My daughter last year had promised to get on Great Bear(her first major steel coaster) so I was excited about that. We made our way to Comet as usual and it was only a 5 minute wait. My daugther(9 years old) wanted to get Great Bear down with since she was nervous. We waited about 20 minutes and she started to get really nervous. While I felt bad, I knew she would love it. Then once in the seat she started to cry but didn't say anything. While going up the lift hill I started to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon" (no idea why). As we were going down the hill, I heard laughter so was thinking that's a good sign. She ended up getting off the ride smiling THANK GOD..... We just went around the park doing flats, me skipping out on some due to not liking spinning rides. Then came The Claw..... The Claw - 10 minute wait - I was pretty nervous being that spinning rides do not agree with me but I forced myself on. While in line some random girls goes "What if the arm just snapped off"...GREAT. So I ended up get on and enjoying it more then I thought. Fahrenheit - 20 minute wait - The lift hill was the best part of the Ride......the ride was smooth until the half way through. The last airtime hill was a good suprise. Overall a great ride StormRunner(One train/side operation) - 45 minutes - The ride was still very enjoyable and worth the wait. For lunchtime of course I headed to my favorite place for a beef sub, so good....just look at it(see pictures below)! Night we just hopped on whatever we went by and people wanted to go on. Random thoughts/comments for Monday -Kissing Tower was still closed all day -Another great day at Hersheypark -Twizzer slurpee....YUM -The Rolo character was crazy! Just standing there like a stuffed animal...lol... Here are a few pictures my friend sent me at work.....more to come later Jolly Rancher! The Rolo was crazy later on that night! On the Pirate Ship! Yum! So good! -
I'm doing this trip report at work so it won't all be at once. So this past weekend we headed for our annual Hersheypark trip. We went at the pool at our hotel and were treated to a guy-on-guy massage. I'm gay myself but once you see the picture.....you'll know why I was thinking "AND I'M SINGLE!!" Anyway...We headed to the park at around 7pm Sunday and jumped on Chocolate World since the preview plan wasn't until 7:30. After that we bought these new Good-n-Fiery at one of the stores....so disgusting! Once in the park the crowds were very light being that Comet usually has a line and it wasn't even a 5 minute wait. We ended up riding all the coaster besides Storm Runner and Fahrenheit.. Random thoughts/comments for Sunday night -Closed rides were The Kissing Tower and The Claw -As usual all the people were friendly -The area around the wave pool has changed drastically over the past few years...kinda sad -Trailblazer was running 2 trains(I've heard its usually only one on trip reports -There were guys in their boxers in the Dunkin Donuts right out side the exit to the park.....no idea why? Wildcat(2 trains) - no wait - Still think the new trains have helped the ride greatly. Even though it throws you around, it's a pretty fun ride IMO. While on the way we all snubbed the Wavepool Wildmouse - still crazy and nothing beat hearing my friend Stacey scream on every corner...lol... Music Express - I usually don't like spinning rides but they were playing good music so we all jumped on. Just Dance played and I was in heaven It's lunch time so I'll update more about Sunday and then Monday soon.....pictures tonight.

The Eastern State Penitentiary tour is great.... going during the Halloween Haunted Tour they have is so scary. A few friends did that with me and they held onto me the whole time. Gald you had fun in Philly...next time check out Chickie's and Petes.....great crab fries. Yum -
I waited about 2 1/2 hours for Kingda Ka(first time). Once we got up to the station we sat on the ride and went out to the launch area. Waiting Waiting Waiting.....the went backwards into the station. The ride was shutdown due to some sensor or something. We waited another 40 minutes in the station until we finally were launched. Great ride but maybe not worth the almost 3 1/2 hour wait.

Congrads! That's so cute....hopefully that will be me one day -
Yes the preview plan is great. I usually do it on a Sunday night as all the people are clearing out. I Usually can get a ride on all coaster that night that way the next day I don't have to rush around. The Comet to me seems to always have the longest wait so check that either first thing or later in the day. Also like everyone else has said eat at the BBQ place....just the smell will grab your attention

It does look good and will do well but CRR will always be missed in IMO. Going to the park June 14th-15th, so hopefully it will grow on me -
What is your favorite GCI train design

Of course....best sandwiches ever. Coming down that hill towards them is always the best part of Hershey to me....the second best part would be riding CRR -

^^ The adult slides are all enclosed....the family waterslide was very fast and very fun backwards...lol.... -
I headed to the park with my daughter, a friend, and her son....We had a great time at the park, we arrived around noon and it was semi packed. After about 2 o'clock it was packed with people. The park was very clean and all the people were very nice and helpful. We had a little problem with the lockers but they fixed it very quickly. The waits were very short for the most part on the waterslides. The surfing/board thing was very fun since I had never done anything like that before. The kids also enjoyed the park and want to go back. The prices were a bit high but I guess since it's inside...its worth the 30 dollars. There she is trying..... At least she tried! Self picture....the hair is a mess! View of waterslides Entrance to the Lazy River!

It's still hard to believe CRR is gone! I know i should be over it.....lol... -
Great Adventure looks very clean from the past few years but the lack of flats and closed flats seems to be ruining the park...at least IMO. I mean they have a great collection of coasters.....but what else is really there?? I'd rather head to Dorney or Hersheypark and be able to ride coasters and some flats. Eltoro is worth the trip but not every year.....
