  1. Would love to see Green/Black Vortex... but seriously with the Drop Tower paint job? I love that ride but the original paint scheme was hideous. I don't love the current one, but it is MUCH better than the old one. I also wouldn't mind the Leviathan/Stinger/Invertigo color scheme on Vortex. Since CF seems to have gotten those colors on wholesale, why not?
  2. ^ I noticed that as well. I've only been to the DLR parks. Currently I'd say DCA edges out DL as it's more catered to my personal interests and it's shiny and new, but In the long run I guess DL wins for me.
  3. I kind of feel like GS is going to be a mix of Prowler and Apocalypse... So I think that's pretty good for us.
  4. This makes me smile. I never cared for that ride.
  5. They do have electric wheelchairs, but I'm unsure of the price.
  6. ^ The SLC is at La Ronde I believe and The Drop tower is at SF St. Louis. Also the S&S Sky Swatter is at SFNE.
  7. The track is pretty ripped apart to the left of the blue man-lift. I'm going to say that we will not be seeing this thing ever rebuilt. I'm excited to see what will be replacing it though, regardless of what it is from a Giga to a family water splash ride.
  8. ^ Looks pretty cool. It was always a fun ride, I think the tunnel at the end will make for a cool element.
  9. The DL Half is definitely going to be a yearly thing for me. I'd love to do the WDW 1/2 in January, but it looks like I'm about to move out of state so there is no budget for it right now. Next year for sure, I want a coast to coast. I'm not sure how many non-Disney runs I'll do. I get very bored so I need to added stuff like running through parks to encourage me not to give up. I guess as I improve on my ability to do the long distances I'll be more willing to do a more traditional half. Probably won't make it to a full ever. I have an auto-immune disease very similar to Rheumatoid Arthritis and I don't think my joints could handle 26.2. My Rheumatologist isn't very ecstatic about me doing halves as it is. I know the 2013 one is already sold out, but I think I'll do the Tinkerbell in 2014, I know it's intended for women, but DL doesn't have a ton of races and I like the course they have for that one. Hopefully sooner than later we'll get more races at DL like the Everest Challenge and ToT 10 Miler.
  10. Ummm... totally different. Even the media isn't going to link those situations. And when is suicide not selfish? It's pretty much the most selfish thing a person could do. Glad that it worked out and the park didn't have to deal with an actual death. As far as the security goes, people are crafty; if there is a will, there is a way. If people can break out of prisons, someone can break into Medusa's infield.
  11. I survived the DL 1/2. Barely. I overdid it on the Poweraide around mile 9 and made myself sick so I had to take the final few miles slow. Can't wait to do another though and improve overall. The support from the crowd is amazing. Being out there for 2 to 3 hours is awesome, but you might assume they had just started cheering as they had so much energy. It was really fun and encouraging. I also loved the 5K. It was so much fun. Everyone was in great spirits and just enjoying themselves. It's the first time I've truly understood the term "Fun Run." As far as Treadmill vs Outside. I like treadmill for the entertainment distractions, but it's hard to really get a sense of your physical ability because you set a pace and stay there. When your outside your pace and ability may be way different. So in a sense I feel like the treadmill holds you back a little. It's great for hot days though!
  12. Gotta go with Giant Frisbee. Loved MaXair. I was bummed Delerium was closed when I visited KI back on '05, but still have MaXair under the belt none the less.
  13. Been addicted to this for a week or 2 now... absolutely love it!
  14. I'm afraid of being dunked in gravy and eaten by an ACEr... But that's another story. I have not been on Dinosaur, but some friends I have that are more like GP than myself loved it. So I guess it falls into that category of why fix what many already like? Back to Disneyland, Indy needs some TLC but I understand their desire to constantly have that thing running. I'm glad they have a big ride like RSR and just DCA in general drawing a lot of attention giving them some time to spruce up Disneyland stuff.
  15. Good luck to everyone at the DL Half today! The 5K was a blast yesterday. I'm guessing today will be just as much so.
  16. I was unaware that Yolo County (near Sacramento) was all that exciting. This is EXACTLY what I think every time I see or hear someone refer to YOLO. So... It's Premier. Have the Intamin fanboys stopped crying yet? I think it looks like a unique and fun ride. Awesome the Premier rides are starting to become more popular. They really do make excellent coasters.
  17. I'm glad they did away with the station fly-through that was on the original plans. I felt like that was a gimmick that people didn't really care for. The way it goes now allows the track to be lower and have that little airtime hill. I'd have to say my only disappointment is the cartoony logo with the miner... That said, if that's my only complaint, then there are really no complaints at all. Can't wait for this thing, really excited for the park.
  18. Giant Dipper isn't technically Norther California.
  19. And no MCBR, so that's an automatic win.
  20. Wait... the coaster won't even be real!? Just CGI? Lame.
  21. With my limited Dive Machine experience being fairly positive, I would totally be down for one at Knott's. I think the mini one like Krake would be a great fit for the park.
  22. S-C-H-W-A-R-Z-K-O-P-F. SCHWARZKOPF. LEARN THE MASTER'S NAME, PLEASE. Praise be to Anton, Amen. AMEN!!!
