Taron in Phantasialand!

Schools are off from 10th October to 21st October this year.

Movie Park have confirmed on their Facebook page their 2017 coaster will be a launch coaster themed to Star Trek. It is said it will be the second tallest attraction in the park and feature elements unique in Europe. Looks great! Weren't they also going to put in a kiddie coaster called the Little Tsar (or something like that). Any sign of it so far?

Yes the eariler marketing said Europe however with testing the ride obviously is faster than expected or they have increased the speeds. Taron is now the fastest multi launch coaster in the world.

The park's press release details the 6 world records in Klugheim. - Taron is the world's fastest multi-launch coaster. - Taron is the longest multi-launch coaster in the world. - Taron has the world's most intense LSM launch. - Taron's layout features 58 intersections, during the ride it will cross its own tracks 118 times - a world record! - Raik is the fastest and longest family boomerang in the world. Interesting to see that they have increased its speed, as when first announced it was to be only Europe's fastest multi launch coaster.

^ 'So much' ?? Everything aside from the corner at Chiapas and the Tavern, both of which are being worked on, everything else is done. It's completely realistic. 10 years ago with Black Mamba, the whole place looked like a construction site with track running through it, a month before opening and they still managed it.

They have fought for this expansion for years and if I'm correct they now have permission for the highlighted areas. However they are not allowed to extend the actual theme park the land is only for creating a year round resort. Not sure when they'll start. Anyone else know anything about the plans??

There's no Chiapas vibe at all for me. If anything my hopes of it opening are increasing by the day. The area is pretty much finished. The only major construction work left is finishing the Tavern and the transition between Klugheim and Chiapas. The buildings and area around Raik were recently finished, the rides are undergoing daily testing. Just because they is no opening date released doesn't mean it isn't opening this summer.

The only politics the park are facing is related to their long term land expansion ambitions. Some locals protesting over a public garden nearby. Nothing to do with Klugheim. Work is still on going. As is testing. The exterior of the restaurant is currently being themed. Hopefully not long now. A video about the area's lighting was released as well. The Tavern.

Phantasialand on 1st July. However might return to Tayto Park before then to ride their woodie!

Strange voices are being heard from Klugheim. No seriously. At the same time as testing Taron they have for a while now been testing the area's soundtrack. Which at the moment is just some incomprehensible voices. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Well it isn't the mystery area for nothing.

Phantafriends have reported that Raik began testing today!

^ The park is 50 years old next year and still family owned! It was opened by Gottlieb Löffelhardt and Richard Schmidt. Loffelhardt's son still runs in today and his wife is in charge of the park shows I believe.

More testing today!!

Phantafriends have posted that Taron has now completed the full circuit. Visitors (including Tobi who made the models during the off season) today saw the train on the second half of the ride after the second launch.
