Only very major technical issues could prevent it from opening this year. The place is almost done, the park won't leave the completed rides and theming sitting for a year. Probably open for the summer but it would be wise to hold off booking until you're certain exactly when it'll open. -

I assume he is hinting at/confirming the rumours that testing with the TUV (German Health and safety) is taking place after the park closes every day this week. On Monday as the park closed it has been claimed that the TUV and Intamin where on site. -

Not sure about crowds as I haven't been in October but yes they don't do Halloween events so it should be quieter. NRW schools have holidays from 10 to 21st October so I'd avoid then but the first and last week of October will not have large crowds. -

Race for Atlantis as we know has been demolished but the new park map confirmed the rumours that the events tents and buildings behind the dome are being removed so a large new area has been opened up. Now this large area, around about the same size as Klugheim, is for the park's next mega project... -

There's a few plants and trees planted I assume they'll take time to grow a bit more but I think that might be it. The dark redish soil was a layer put on specially. Then again the Mystery theme is quite dark and bleak. -

^ This Saturday!! Finally we'll see some real photographs of the area. Especially since Tobi on Phantafriends hasn't been updating his model much as the view from the car park is now blocked by the construction of the area's small restaurant which will serve Bavarian food. -

I do think on the German forums it said they had been testing. But nothing official as Phantasialand are very secretive about the project. -

If HT is to go i think its replacement will be in the same building. The dinner show theatre which is also in that building was only refurbished before last season so I think it is unlikely it'll be demolished. Also Temple of the Night Hawk received a soundtrack from IMA score for the 2015 season so also unlikely it will be removed within the next few years otherwise they wouldn't have spent the money. Unless Phantasialand have the money to refurb the theatre add a soundtrack only to demolish it in 3 years? I suppose maybe they do seem to have an endless supply of money. Another possibility is that HT could be rethemed to something which fits in more with the Fantasy. But screw all that I like Hollywood Tour and hope it stays!! -

Yep. Seems to be totally going. This large hole in the side doesn't seem to be fixable... Most recent update on Phantafriends states that as of today half of the dome is gone. Good bye! -

Phantasialand have officially confirmed that Race for Atlantis, the simulator in the large yellow dome, is being removed. It was taken off the park map today. The dome is currently being demolished. Was never a fan. Good riddance! -

Phantasialand have posted on their website an article about Klugheim's theming made out of wood. In particular the carved dragons. http://magazin.phantasialand.de/aus-holz-geboren/ (Article in German) Interesting to note that the wood work shop has been set up in the remaining section of the old Silbermine dark ride hall. Youtube video of the work: -

More building site updates from Tobi's model on Phantafriends. The building enclosing Raik's lifthills is almost finished. The wood has been darkened. Right next to the new bridge that connects Klugheim to the China area they have built another narrower bridge. Not sure yet why. Both bridges go on to the roof of Raik's station. Also steps from the roof going down into the station have been put in. I assume this might be the exit? Two concrete blocks are also on the roof no one seems to know what their purpose is yet. Lifthills almost fully enclosed. -

http://content.yudu.com/A3ytdv/PWFeb2016/resources/22.htm A very detailed and interesting interview with one of the project developers about Taron. And while we already knew it, this article is the first official confirmation from Phantasialand that Taron opens in 2016. * I love the fact the article refers to the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland as part of the inspiration for Klugheim's rocks. My favourite park which I've visited since I was 3 partly inspired by a landmark in the country I'm from (Northern Ireland)! -

No. It was just technical issues and maybe the structure. Nothing flipped and sank. -

Now with both rides complete all that is left is to finish testing and remainder of the theming work. On Facebook someone pointed out that perhaps Klugheim will open for the start of the season after all it looks almost done compared to what Black Mamba looked like 5 weeks before opening. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/42/Black_mamba_cunstruction.jpg/1024px-Black_mamba_cunstruction.jpg -
