  1. I'm 19. My first coaster was the Orient Express (Wisdom Rides) at my local fair back in 2000 at the age of four.
  2. No. Have you been to Canada's Wonderland?
  3. The Beatles
  4. Yes. Do you prefer drop towers more than power towers?
  5. Behemoth's drop is great! It causes you to rise out of your seat especially if you have your hands in the air!
  6. I never have but, my friend had! It was while we were riding the Avalanche (Wisdom Rides) at the local fair and the ride program was way too long!
  7. My avatar is of a artistic drawing of SkyRider at Canada's Wonderland from the 1985 press release package. SkyRider is my favourite stand-up coaster even though it is now at Cavallino Matto as Freestyle!
  8. Oddly enough, I found that tight turn to be quite enjoyable! I found it gives Vortex a hemorrhage-inducing moment that I hadn't experienced on a roller coaster of that size before. Fixed. You're more likely to feel that sensation on a Vekoma SLC. Trust me, Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland is no easy task to ride or any SLC for that matter. But, in all honesty, I greatly enjoyed every aspect of Vortex during my visit back in July of 2014. So, I don't think it gives a hemorrhage as you had suggested or "made me say".
  9. Oddly enough, I found that tight turn to be quite enjoyable! I found it gives Vortex some character that I hadn't experienced on a roller coaster of that size before.
  10. I'd love for all of Vortex to look burnt... preferably with blowtorches. I agree 100%. Vortex is awful. I don't understand why you guys have such hatred towards such an amazing coaster as Vortex! A wire coat hanger has smoother transitions in the curves then what that coaster has.I found it to be an amazing custom looping Arrow Dynamics coaster with relatively smooth transitions! I really enjoyed my three rides on it during my first visit to Kings Island back in July of 2014. Maybe some people just can't handle a little bit of roughness. There is NOTHING... and I mean NOTHING smooth about those transitions. The entire coaster is rough. Even the straight sections some how manage to be rough. It is seriously like being in a speeding car down a road like this: How anyone can enjoy that coaster is beyond me. Rode it once, and I NEVER want to ride it again. The closest I will get to that coaster is when I am walking right past it to get to a different ride. Everyone does have a different tolerance of roughness so, maybe mine is greater than yours. Just because you and some other people don't like Vortex, doesn't mean it's a horrible coaster. I appreciate Arrow Dynamics' coasters for what they are. The slight roughness only adds to the fun in my opinion!

  12. Freestyle
  13. Canada's Wonderland!
  14. My first B&M coaster was Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland!
  15. So for my home park, here are the coasters that give a great (or better) back seat ride: -Vortex -Behemoth -The Bat -Ghoster Coaster -Flight Deck -Mighty Canadian Minebuster -ThunderRun (Powered Coaster) -Dragon Fire -SkyRider (Removed and now operates at Cavallino Matto as Freestyle) -Wonder Mountain's Guardian (4-D coaster) Now, here are the coasters that give a great (or better) front seat ride at my home park: -Leviathan -The Fly -Silver Streak -Backlot Stunt Coaster The only coasters that don't have any difference in experience as to where you ride at Canada's Wonderland in my opinion are Wild Beast and Time Warp. The only coaster I haven't been on is Taxi Jam so, I don't have any preference to that. Now, here are some coasters (which I have been on) that give a great back seat ride at other parks I have visited: -Vortex (Kings Island) -The Racer (Kings Island) -Adventure Express (Kings Island) -The Bat (AKA Top Gun/ Flight Deck, Kings Island) -Woodstock Express (Kings Island) -Invertigo (Kings Island) -Talon (Dorney Park) -Steel Force (Dorney Park) -Thunderhawk (Dorney Park) Now here is a list of coasters that I've rode at other parks that give a great front seat ride: -Hydra The Revenge (Dorney Park) -Stinger (Dorney Park) -Possessed (Dorney Park) -Wild Mouse (Dorney Park) So, that's my opinion for which coasters give great front seat rides and which coasters give great back seat rides.
  16. Some big surprises on coasters that I found are the amount of forces produced on The Bat at Canada's Wonderland while going through the loop backwards, the amount of airtime and smoothness that was produced on SkyRider at Canada's Wonderland, the close head chopper section on Thunderhawk at Dorney Park, and the forces produced on Vortex at Kings Island while going around the tight turn just after the two vertical loops.
  17. Vortex at Canada's Wonderland was my first Arrow Dynamics coaster!
