Then it should be called the "Nausea Rating" if that's the case!

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
Johnlloyd replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, if you're going before the schools get out, the lines will be very short on the weekdays (Monday-Friday). But, if you're going after the schools get out, the lines may be long depending on the day you go. If you can go on a weekday, I would suggest going to the park earlier in the week than later in the week because crowds tend to be minimal earlier in the week (Monday-Wednesday). The park opens at 10:00am so, I would suggest arriving about half an hour before then just to beat the morning crowds and to find a good parking spot, even though the rides don't open until 10:00am but, the front gate does open at 9:30am. Another good suggestion I have is going to the park on an overcast or slightly rainy day because all rides and coasters do operate in light drizzle and the crowds will be minimal so that way you'll be able to ride everything you want to ride, multiple times! As for ride lines, on a non-busy weekday (before schools get out in late June) the wait time for all coasters is under half an hour to practically walk-on's. It all depends on how many school students are performing a concert that day in Kingswood Music Theatre but, usually the lines are very minimal to non-existent. But, if you plan on going to the park on a weekend in June, it all depends on the weather. If the weather is nice on a weekend in June, the ride wait times will be exceeding over 45 minutes up to 2 hours for most coasters, especially Behemoth and Leviathan, providing they don't break down. I also suggest that if you want to ride Vortex and you do get to the park before 10:00am you make your way to Vortex either first or second because the line for Vortex and get filled quite fast even on a weekday in late June and will be filled for the rest of the day. But, if you go before the schools are out, then you won't see this. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask! -

I'm not really sure as to who decides the intensity ratings for some rides for some parks, but why do some rides that in my mind, that appear to extremely thrilling or intense only get a thrill rating of 4 while other rides that appear less intense receive a thrill rating of 5? An example of this would be Psyclone (Mondial Revolution) at Canada's Wonderland receives a thrill rating of 5 whereas Drop Tower (Intamin Giant Drop 227 feet) only receives a rating of 4? During the years of me becoming addicted to thrill rides and coasters, I was able to easily do many flat rides with a high intensity rating before boarding a drop tower so, why do rides that (to me) don't appear to be intense receive a higher thrill or intensity rating than rides that had appeared intense to me? It just boggles my mind sometimes. Luckily these thrill ratings no longer apply to me as I ride everything nowadays!

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Yes, they're great! The Chicken Shack at Canada's Wonderland offers a wide range of wraps, burgers, and other things using chicken! I had also experienced the one at Kings Island back in July of 2014. It was good as well because they offer the same or similar products! -

Has there been any sightings or news about the Mondial Topscan seen at the park back in November? This may be a 2017 addition if it isn't installed for this year. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I've always known them to have 2 day admission tickets but I have a season pass so I don't really pay close attention. I would wait until closer to the beginning of the season to see if they eventually put 2 day tickets up for sale. I can't imagine they wouldn't. Thanks. It's probably too early right now as it's only January and the park opens in May. I've bought these tickets for Kings Island and Dorney Park in the past so, I don't see why Cedar Point wouldn't have this option. I know my home park, Canada's Wonderland does but, I've never bought one there because I'm a season pass holder but, my friends have in the past until they realized they could get discounted admission tickets by going with a season pass holder (primarily me!). -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I plan on making my first visit to Cedar Point this summer, probably sometime in June or July. I am wondering if Cedar Point sells two-day admission tickets like Kings Island, Dorney Park, and some other Cedar Fair parks? I plan on making a two day trip to Cedar Point. I've looked on their website under tickets and couldn't find any two day admission tickets other than a ride and slide ticket. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated! -
Worlds of Fun (WOF) Discussion Thread

That does make a lot of sense. I never knew that happened. Hopefully there will be some improvement this season. Speaking of that, does anyone know when the park opens for the season? Worlds of Fun opens on Saturday April 16th. The operating calendar can be viewed here. -
