  1. Speaking of design, I have seriously considered pursuing being in the marketing division for a park company. Sure, I'd love to design coasters, but I'll leave that up to the people who know what they are doing while I handle the graphics component.
  2. You should be able to use it multiple times per day, like if you leave the park and don't get a stamp for some reason then want to re-enter.
  3. I mean, you could, assuming it works the same as an associate ID. It's not like you should do that though, take your time.
  4. Yo man, we haven't talked about that for several pages. Let's not start again. Please
  5. Awesome! Good luck! Try to make sure you get all of your paperwork and shtuff when you go in for processing, which is coming from the person who never has the right papers and apparently was one of the first rides leads to turn in paperwork (embarrassing, BUT THE SEASON CANT COME SOON ENOUGH).... Thankfully I think they moved a bunch of stuff online this year!
  6. I could see bumper cars being relocated into a new building and that space being used. There is actually a decent hunk of space back there, starting from the triangle patch of grass in front of the building all the way back to the Wave.
  7. "Peanut's Playhouse" which was once the "Ball Factory," is the building with the Snoopy stage in front.
  8. THIS. Don't be afraid to have fun with your fellow associates, but also know when there is a limit. You'll hear back or get an email within the next few days, a week at most.
  9. If you are admissions you should be fine. Otherwise, maybe not. No. Nobody will make fun of you if you look younger. Nobody cares. I'm a rides person, and people always ask me how old I am, and are usually surprised how young I am. They are cool with it, and don't make rude jokes or insult me. if anything, they respect that you have such a responsible position at your age.
  10. Probably not, I don't think a dark ride could fit in the Galaxy Theatre building unless it was a very short ride. If/when they get a dark ride, I think they should remove The Wave for it. REMOVE the Wave? What kind of Monster are you? The Wave isn't going anywhere until that thing is dead. It's too much of a crowd pleaser, esp. on a hot day. It usually has decent ridership, and operates reliably. Could they possibly expand the ball factory? It's kinda small though, and holds a bunch of operations supplies (the height stick graveyard, water jugs, etc.)
  11. Have you tried emailing Intamin? I have no idea how ride manufacturers respond to questions like yours, or if they even do. Maybe the manual would have it, but I won't get access to them till closer to the season (Assuming that VF's Steel Venom is similar enough in power to Wicked Twister). It's enough to seriously injure or kill someone, though. They have their own power supplies, which also happens to make them giant freakin' lightning rods. LIMs are already used on Maglev trains, though.
  12. ^They are, they're just grey.
  13. As an op myself I fully agree. Assigned seating is poop, when it comes to coasters. However, it is VERY necessary on flat rides.
  14. Sorry I thought I was in the Six Flags New England thread for a minute. I think you have choice of seat on every coaster at Cedar Point. Lol As of last year this is true about 98% of the time. Occasionally they will assign on Maverick, but its possible they just got rid of that completely in the last two seasons. Well, for the weak-hearted people who don't want to fight crowds and just go to the emptiest row, it's all up to chance. There was assigned seating on Rougarou when I went, this is not to say that you can't request a seat since we asked for the front and got it.
  15. IMO, you're missing out on the best part of a park experience. Having to take your time waiting in line, among the GP, just watching the ride do cycles, you're missing out on one of the best parts when you jump ride to ride in the front row with no wait. There's something about taking your time listening to the gibberish of the GP, interacting with the ops throughout the queue, and the chance of not getting the seat you want.
  16. There's no way they'd be able to fit an ice rink in there. I vote yes for laser/light show!
  17. Considering it's use as a storm shelter, training hub, event place, and stuffs, I would say it's not going anywhere.
  18. It should. Before I was 18 and applying to be an op, it asked me when I would be 18 when I said no.
  19. How's the ice cream in BDB? It's ok.... There's nothing like good ice cream tho. Especially B&Js. And if I get off after 8 then no BDB .
  20. I think I saw them post on Twitter just today. Now where am I supposed to get ice cream when I get off early? Esp. on hot nights.
  21. I was thinking there was more than admissions but I wasn't sure. Remember that you can now be a rides attendant at 16! (Shameless department plug, ik)
  22. At least 14 for admissions, 16 for everything else.
  23. Welcome aboard! As long as you give your all, you'll do fine! Get ready to make some good friends and have some good times. Hmmm... 2017. UUUuuu, I can't wait till training in April to see what they say, if anything! It'll be nice to be back in the park.
  24. Mmmm yes, the days when commissioning wasn't that big of a deal. Those were the days.
