For my engineering ethics class, we need to wite a paper about public safety geared toward engineering. Some of the questions asked are, "What exactly should engineers' responsibility to the public be (i.e. the social contract)?" and "How is this responsibility related to the legal issues of liabilty and our lawsuit-obsessed society?" I can't seem to find any articles about this topic online and we need references. Any help would be appreciated.

I live in Northern Ohio and I'm trying to convince my family to go to King's Dominion this summer. Is it worth driving down to Virginia for a few days?

Are there any Disney hotels cheaper than the All-Star Resort hotels? I can't seem to find any.

I haven't ridden the PeopleMover for many years; is it still worth it?

Is SFMM really woth visiting? I live in the east-coast but want to visit some parks on the west-coast eventually. Should I put this park on the list?

Ok, so I have a pretty good idea of when I want to go. Now it's just where to stay...

^ I am for sure going to get a park hopper. You mentioned not going to Magic Kingdom on a Monday; I've heard other people saying things like that as well. Why are there certain days to not go to certain parks? Do statistics actually show that certain parks are in fact more crowded on certain days of the week?

^ I agree. Just try Mean Streak and see what you think for yourself. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

^ I agree. Early entry for ERT is worth it in the beginning of the season and at times throughout the end of the summer. But as time progresses more people visit the park for early entry and it really isn't worth it anymore. Early in the season I could ride Millennium Force at least twice and still head to another ride before the park opened and in the middle of the summer, I sometimes found myself still waiting in line at regular park opening time still to ride once.

^ From where I live, that's correct; I'm not sure about Florida schools though. So late August and if I can't do that go early June?

I've ridden Mean Streak enough times in every row to know where the best seats are and how to enjoy it. Sit in the front half of the train in the front row of the car that you are in. If you follow that simple rule I honestly think you would enjoy the ride. The rule actually applies to most other woodies as well from what I have experienced! Don't skip Mean Streak just because people say it's terrible; I've ridden it so many times and I've really enjoyed each time.
