  1. What about the first full week in June, which would be the week of the 6th? How crowded is it usually then?
  2. So late August would be the best?
  3. I've been there during spring break so I know how crowded these parks can get. But I've never been during the summer so I will try to accomodate for the heat and such. I understand that basically any time in the summer is going to be at least somewhat busy.
  4. For the early entry rides, they'll probably add Windseeker. If they had to replace something, hopefully it'll be Planet Snoopy because honestly how many people use the early entry with kids and actually go to Planet Snoopy? As for paying for a CP hotel vs. a platinum pass and staying off property, getting a platinum pass is way more worth it in the long run. The Cedar Point hotels, in my opinion, are too over-priced. Sure they have a nice view of the park as well as you can just walk outside and pretty much be in the park, it's not worth it I think. If you buy a Platinum Pass, you still get in an hour early, free parking, and you get into every Cedar Fair park. There are plenty of other hotels right near Cedar Point, many of which are pretty cheap. I got one for $42 in late July and it was nothing fancy, just a typical sleeping spot for the night.
  5. If you could pick just one ride at Walt Disney World as the best, what is it and why?
  6. Well with my schedule and the schedule of the people I'm going with, the summer really is the only time we can go (mid-June to late August). If there was any way to avoid the summer then I would definitely not go during then; just like avoiding spring break, near big holidays like christmas, etc.
  7. For Cedar Point, it's an hour early entry; Millennium Force, Raptor, Iron Dragon, Maverick, and Planet Snoopy are open at that time.
  8. So my best bet would be try to avoid July and early August and try to avoid the 'typical traveler schedule'?
  9. So besides weather, I'm mainly concerned about crowds. How bad are the crowds in the summer? What part of the summer is best when crowds are at the minimum?
  10. I know that the summer probably isn't the best time to go to Walt Disney World because schools aren't in session and what not. However, what period(s) is the best time to visit WDW during the summer for about a week? Since I've never been in the summer time I really don't know what to expect.
  11. Do you enjoy taking photos, videography, etc.? What type of camera do you use?
  12. Millennium Force...need I say where at!?
  13. ^^ Well I see it as; when you're on a ride you really have no control over if you are safe or not, it's all on the ride operations. So if you get hurt it's the parks fault. With the nacho cheese, however, once it is in their hands the park isn't really not reliable for it. That's like being inside a building when there is a tornado; if you stay inside you should be safe but once you step outside of the building it's not the buildings responsibility anyone to keep you safe...if that makes sense.
  14. The new Texas Giant looks sweet; I wish I could ride it but it seems like I won't have the chance for a while.
  15. I do have some sympathy for the kid but honestly, nacho cheese it technically supposed to be hot so the parents should've known. That, or they knew it was hot and did it on purpose so they could sue...which would be just sick.
  16. I'm hoping to get to the park this summer for the first time.
  17. In one day at Cedar Point in mid-August, I went on every coaster (except for Jr. Gemini because I'm too big haha) twice with the exceptions of Top Thrill Dragster (total of three times) and Millennium Force (total of six times). And of those six times on Millennium Force, I rode it three times in the front. It was a good day.
  18. Even though I haven't ridden Chaos in a few years, it's sad to see it go; it's sad to see most rides go. And if it has to be replaced I'd rather it'd be another ride and not a 3-point shootout.
  19. Just as the title implies, which animation studio is better? If you're unsure as to what movies are made by which studio, here's a list of Pixar films http://www.disneymovieslist.com/pixar-movies.asp here's a list of Dreamworks films http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DreamWorks_Animation z9 (just scroll down)
  20. If only I could afford a trip!
  21. I was 4 years old when I rode my first coaster, and I've been loving them ever since.
  22. The back on Millennium Force is purely amazing. Also for some reason, the back row of Magnum isn't bad.
  23. For some reason, Blue Streak looks very cool when snow covered as do most wooden coasters.
  24. Robb, I understand where you are coming from...with a ton of background information, work experience, etc. and I understand the way you think. What I don't know is that if you've ever lived near a close by amusement park (that you've loved and charished for years) that was shut down, and if within that park there was a classic roller coaster that you've ridden countless times. What I'm trying to say is that many of these TPR posters are probably locals just trying to save something that they've loved for years. It just seems that many of you are trying to take their hopes and rip them to pieces. If something good happens, then good...if not, then oh well. Some of you just need to settle down and understand from a locals point of view.
