  1. I haven't had the chance of riding I-305 yet but I can guess that the restraints are probably better than Mavericks.
  2. I'm not a big fan of Maverick; like you said, part of the reason is the restraints. They're not that comfortable and by the end of the ride (where you sit there for like 5 min) it's pushing down on my legs and tends to hurt. Also, there's too much whip-lash on the coaster; too much 'twisty' as Robb would say. I know that some people really like that but I'm not a big fan of it; maybe if they didn't put so much 'twisty' on it it would be more enjoyable. Honestly, the only good part of the ride in my opinion is the lauch in the tunnel; the rest is just ehh as well as
  3. I headed to the park yesterday. It was a great day to go; perfect weather (75 and sunny) and short lines. Rides include: Mean Streak (x2) It is quite smoother now Maverick (x1) Still as bad as ever (coaster credit only) Mantis (x1) Also as rough as usual (also for a coaster credit only) Magnum (x2) Classic Iron Dragon (x1) Wish it were more like Flight Deck, but still fun Wicked Twister (x1) One time is enough for me for a day Blue Streak (x2) Always fun Disaster Transport (x2) I also like the darker ride Raptor (x5) A bit rough in spots but overall a good ride Dragster (x2) Fun as usual Cedar Creek (x1) Just for the coaster credit Millennium (x20) Longest wait was about 10 min; line never went past the ramp Flats include Power Tower (Drop side) and Skyhawk The whole day lines were short for the most part.
  4. Mean Streak - I always enjoy riding it. I guess maybe it's because I know how to ride it so that it doesn't hurt. It is always a must do while at Cedar Point.
  5. It certainly does look like it's lifted off the ground somewhat.
  6. Maverick gets my vote as the most over-rated coaster. When it came out, as well as now, everyone's like "OMG it's an amazing ride with a 95 DEGREE DROP and TWO launches"!!!!!!!! For me the ride isn't that exciting. First off, I don't even consider the lift hill a launch; it's more of just a slightly faster incline than a typical coaster's lift hill. The only good part of the ride is the launch in the tunnel. It's a coaster that throws you around and tends to hurt a lot.
  7. I remember doing that; so I guess all I really have to do is ask then!!
  8. When I rode Diamondback last year I noticed a little rattling but it was nothing I was concerned about. The coaster, in general, is a pretty good ride. Are they going to start letting people pick where they want to sit this season for Diamondback? I know that they still didn't let you pick your own seats last year, at least in July when I went. Anyone know?
  9. I am limited because I am a college student with a budget. My plans for 2011 are going to Cedar Point multiple times (home park), a road trip to King's Island (hopefully), and a road trip to King's Dominion (hopefully). I may slap in some visits to Wild Water Kingdom but I don't count those because CF ruined a great park.
  10. ^ Why didn't they fully reimburse you? Oh wait, it's Six Flags...just joshin'
  11. I really do hope they do SOMETHING with Son of Beast and not tear it down. I went on it for the first time in July of 2007, right after they reopened it after taking out the loop, and I thought it was a great ride. It was the first time I had been to King's Island and therefore I really didn't even know what SoB was; I never heard about the negative things people thought about the ride. So I don't know if that played a role in me actually really enjoying the ride or not. I believe I rode it seven times while I was there and it was excellent each time. I just hope they fix it.
  12. I agree, those prices are insane. From what I remember from last year, if you buy your platinum pass online you print out the voucher thingy and you can then use that for parking; I believe you just give them the paper and they scan it and therefore parking is still free the first visit.
  13. I feel the same way; that specific system was rather bad and the paint/stamp thing wasn't the greatest.
  14. Honestly, I think this is a stupid idea. I think mainly because I am NOT a Gaga fan. I mean, a few of her songs are good but come on...a theme park?! Really people? It would be dead in ten years; if that.
  15. I only got to ride the Crypt in its currents state (the two spin cycle). Was it really that much better when it was Tomb Raider themed?
  16. Yeah that's true; I'm just thinking if it's worth it knowing that I have a long drive home afterward.
  17. ^ I was thinking that on a Thursday in May, it shouldn't be too crowded.
  18. Well I live 80 miles away from Cedar Point. So to stay at the park for that long after park closing and then have to drive an hour and a half home, it better be worth staying for!
  19. Typically how busy are the exclusive ride time nights at Cedar Point? I'm interested in going to the Millennium Force ERT on Thursday, May 26th. Even though I've had a Platinum Pass for the past two years I've never gone to one of the ERT nights. If you've gone in previous years, how busy does it typically get and is it even worth going?
