Yes. The question is, how long did it take them to paint what they already painted? Btw, take that and subtract it from 6,595 and that's how much more they gotta paint. -

Apparently they started the paint job on Millennium late in the off season and didn't have time to finish it before opening day. If they don't lack, I'm hoping they finish it this off season because it does in fact look bad half painted. -

Yeah, it would have to be truely an amazing ride to even put a small negative dent on the ridership of Millennium. -

I'm thinking the same thing. If I had any interest of paying extra to see DA (which I really don't), I would rather go to Kings Island's because theirs is not near any major ride passing through. Besides, I think I'll see plenty of DA at Cedar Point because I ride Millennium often anyway. -

The new zone is taking the place of 'The Fright Zone' on Frontier Trail where the swan sits. They are still going to have Terror Island (I assume) because they still have everything set up for it as you can clearly see while riding Millennium. Also, the front is all still there if you ride Paddlewheel; you can see that the other side of the bridge is still there with the 'pirate skull' thingy. -

What parks need is variaty. Kings Island has nothing like a floorless so that's why I want to see one there. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

While in line for a ride at Cedar Point, a little kid looks at Millennium Force's lift hill and asks his dad, "why did they make it so tall?" I really wanted to tell him, "when you're tall enough to ride it, you'll understand why." -

I have to say Batman Knight Flight (Dominator) is quite a good floorless. -

Why are so many people against floorless coasters? Personally, I love them and wouldn't mind seeing one at KI. -

If Terror Island becomes no more, that's not a shock to me. It's already been there for two years, this year being the third. So really, I think they need something new anyway. -

I wasn't too thrilled when they came out with Dinos Alive at KI which isn't my home park, but when they confirmed it for Cedar Point which is my home park, I don't even know what to say. I feel like they are doing the same thing as what they did with Chaos; taking it out and putting in something that costs extra. I've been a huge fan of Paddlewheel ever since I was a kid. It's really upsetting to me that it's going. I went to the park yesterday (before the announcement) and there weren't that many people riding. I went to the park again today (after the announcement) and, not to my surprise, it had a good amount of people waiting; I was shoked at how many people already knew about its fate. In my opinion, if you're going to take out a ride put in another ride of some sort. I'm not saying a big a** coaster like many people want; I'm just saying a ride. However, since Cedar Point is a business they want to make money on an attraction and not lose it so they do stuff like this. -

I went to the park today and while we were waiting to ride Raptor, it started to rain so they stopped the ride. We were next in line to ride so we decided to just wait it out. I have to say, the Raptor 'team' was quite nice and polite while we waited. They've always been this way actually. They interacted with us, made jokes, told stories, and so on. So not all of the Cedar Point staff is, according to some TPR members, 'unhappy'. -

Amusement Ride Breakdown!
coastermaniac replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This wasn't so much a breakdown but whatever. As the train was about the leave the Millennium Force station, two ride ops were doing something to the front row rider's seatbelt and when the train started to move they were like yelling to the operating booth to stop the train but we kept going. About two-thirds the way up the hill, the train stopped and we waited there for about 10 minutes and nothing was happening. Finally, at the bottom of the hill we could see a mechanic and a woman (a manager) getting ready to go up the elevator. It took them a while to get to us, but as they were passing us to get to the front row they were saying that a seatbelt in the front row had been undone. So it took them a little and then headed back down. After they were out of site, we waited on the hill for an additional 5-10 mintues then the ride finally started back up again. Once we got to the brake run, we (or at least I) thought that since it was only a seatbelt that had been undone and that no mechanical failure had taken place that they would let us ride again since we were stuck for about a half hour. For some reason, they had to manually undo the lapbars and let us out on the brake run. We got to ride Dragster going through the exit which wasn't bad but it was still odd as to why they had to let us out like that when it was only a seatbelt. -

From a business point of view (which is the view of Cedar Point, obviously) bringing in Dinosaurs Alive! is a great idea because it has the POTENTIAL of bringing in a lot of money and getting rid of Paddlewheel (which has a lot of maintenance and no individual income) which means profit. From a thrill seekers point of view, it is bad because we want to see actual rides and more roller coasters. -
