While the Mean Streak camera is nice, I would prefer to watch Maverick and Dragster but I'm not surprised they put the camera on Mean Streak on media day. -

I don't think any of the RMC conversions have had issues, so I wouldn't be too worried if I were CP. I am really starting to wonder what Dollywood will do if these issues keep happening. How long can they deal with a ride that can't run consistently for more than a couple weeks? -

According to CoasterQueue, Corkscrew has a 40 minute wait. If that is accurate I am very confused why that many people are willing to spend nearly an hour of their day at Corkscrew. -

Is anybody else not able to get the webcams to play today? -
^ That's one of my favorite things about Cedar Point. As far as I know, they always keep the rides open until everyone in line rides. On most rides they'll even allow people to get in line past closing, like last year when we got in line for Rougarou after 10:00 pm and the ride was still open even though it was a walk-on for front row. We also got in line for Dragster around 9:50 and rode at about 10:15. That time the ride even had a small breakdown and they still got it reopened at 10:00 (closing time) and let everyone ride. I feel that all parks should either do what Cedar Point does, or like was said, just close the lines a little early, but then people would still be mad because the park would seem to be closed before closing time.

^It kind of surprises me that Drop Line hasn't had longer waits, considering it is new and doesn't have a very big capacity. -

Then what is the purpose of the trim brakes and why doesn't TTD have them? -
So like they did with Chaos and the Imax theater? Seriously I wouldn't necessarily bank an announced closure. With the scope of the parking lot my prediction is their going to build nothing else. With building nothing else they're not going to make a big deal about tearing out a ride if they have nothing big and exciting to announce to replace it. Excalibur will close without fanfare in he fall about the time it normally does and then someone will notice an excavator ripping it apart a week later. Cedar Point announced Mean Streak was closing last year and still hasn't announced its replacement. So it isn't unlike Cedar Fair to announce a closure then wait to announce it's replacement.

I'm surprised that Dollywood has never been open until midnight. I know that SDC has had days where they stay open until midnight for at least the past two seasons. -

Even the last time that happened it was only down a day. I can't imagine how annoying it must be for everyone at the park these last few days to just watch LR testing nonstop but never actually opening. -

Is it bad that Saw Mill Splash is my favorite ride at Adventureland? I was there on a cold day, so we didn't ride many of the flats, but we rode all the coasters. For some reason we just found Saw Mill Splash to be a lot of fun. -

According to the CP ride policies manual, guests 42" tall can ride Pipe Scream with a companion. Manual Link (Pipe Scream is on page 22) - https://d3knbu6191stae.cloudfront.net/binaries/content/assets/cp-en-us/general-information/help/2017-guest-assistance-guide.pdf -

I haven't been to the park enough to truly be able to rate which coasters I feel are best, but I also don't understand why so many think Rougarou deserves to be rated as one of the worst coasters in the park. But, I also think I would choose Gatekeeper as my favorite ride in the park, which would be an unpopular decision. I love my B&Ms Edit: Now that I think more about, Rougarou probably would be in my bottom half just because of how good all of CP's coasters are. I still love the ride, but it's hard to compete with TTD, MF, Gatekeeper, Valravn, and Maverick. At any other park, Rougarou would probably be a top ride, but at CP, it's definitely average. -

But every RMC has those same 24 passenger trains, so I wouldn't think the train length would be an issue. -

Windseeker and SkyRide must have also been affected because they are now open again, but MaxAir and the ferries wheel remained open. I would have expected the park to have power everywhere or nowhere, but that's obviously not the case, which is smart on their part. This way they can have a power outage and half the park can still be operational. Edit: I don't understand the people on social media who are complaining about this outage and wanting free stuff. Half the park was closed for an hour of your day for something out of CP's control. It's really not that big of a deal. -

So the park is experiencing another power outage? They sent out a tweet but didn't give much information other than that they know there is an outage. This almost has to be exactly a year since the outage last year. Edit: Gatekeeper also has a train stopped at the mid-course brakes right now, is it normal for them to stop trains there? The ride appears to be closed. -

Or it was designed that way to get over the mountain which would have made it much more difficult to have a flat launch. I still don't think they would change the launch to a chain or cable lift. I would expect them to get a completely new launch system before changing to a chain lift. Throughout all of these issues, I still don't understand why a launch on wood is so much more difficult than a launch on steel and I don't get why the trains have such big sensor issues when other RMCs don't seem to have those issues. -

Gatekeeper and Valravn still have bins. Both rides require bags, stuffed animals, cups, etc to be placed in a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo at the entrance. We were able to place our bag inside the bins at Gatekeeper. -

So you think that because of comments made by a park guest, the bartender should be punished? The bartender really didn't do anything except give a very small response to the guest. I mean how would you have responded to the guest? If you start getting mad at him for what he said, then you risk ruining that guests day. If you just kind of agree with whatever he says, that guest goes on with his day. I think the bartender did the best thing, considering the couple was on the other side of the bar and also since they just asked to watch a hockey game, odds are they aren't even paying attention to what is happening at the other end of the bar. If the bartender were to go apologize to the couple after and they hadn't even been paying attention that would have been a little awkward for the bartender to have to explain what happened. So no matter what the bartender did he risked ruining someone's day. It's really hard to say if he truly did the right thing for the situation considering we weren't actually there. Can we go back to arguing about the weather now? -

When I was there in mid-June last year for three days it was 80s and only rained one of the days and not until 9ish pm. But, like has been said many times before, there is no way to predict what the weather might be like. It could be windy, rainy, or sunny. But one thing is for sure, the park will be storming with enthusiasts because of New Mean Streak
