You're Likely going to get more answers at an event than what you would on the midway. What about behind the scenes? Will you still get more info at Mayhem or directly from the people who would know? Chill bud, it's not that big of a deal. If "Insider" knows something, who cares. It's not worth getting worked up about it Others on here, myself included, know what is going to be added. Who cares! The announcement is coming Thursday and then we'll all know. -

Not sure what being at Coaster Mayhem has to do with anything. News can be obtained without going to an enthusiast event. -

The word from Frank Wilburn was that it would be Thursday. It won't be Friday as it would get buried news wise -

Lines up with what I've heard. That area is where they (corporate) wanted to do placemaking. The Darkride future location fits in with this theory as well. -

No. SDC is built in the woods. SF has some trees in the back portion of the park. Big difference. The front of the park is very open. -
^sounds like you have you blinders on He probably didn't mention JLBFM because the ride was down when he visited. It just recently reopened you know. I guess he could have been like "they refuse to even keep their new stuff working" He didn't mention the upkeep because no one comes to the park to admire new paint and a lack of chug holes in the parking lot. General upkeep should bd happening regardless if an out of towner noticed or not. Earlier in this same thread I posted basically the same review of the park. I personally don't even feel it is operating slightly above average, it will take a lot of work to get to that point. They could start by not trying nickel and dime the guest to death once they enter the park.

The facade has not been installed yet. But it wouldn't look like that any way as the themes are different. Why? Really? You can't tell why from the photo? None of the flats are up, which means none of the thematically are installed. I really can't believe I am having to explain this. -

A little more in depth information from Q&A -Keeping Voyager and other WOF Classic rides a priority -No specific timeline on a new coaster but would like to see one, launched coaster discussed but nothing specific -New Main gate has been discussed and has been designed in the last 2-3 years but waiting for a big enough budget (+$1 million) as they will have to move entrance over towards shadow gate/tivoli east area due to topography and accessibility issues. Moving the catering facilities seems to be the most pressing financial issue. -Both Frank and Wayne want to bring the floral clock back possibility to the new main gate. -Announcement for 2016 coming this Thursday or Friday -Season passes go on sale this weekend, renewals will still get a bring a friend free in 2015 as well as a free Fast Lane to be used in Fall 2015 -New Dark ride is being discussed up where Timberwolf games are now (old bicentennial square) No timeline but it sounds like it's becoming more financially feasible -Some discussion on searching Europe for old classic rides but nothing WOF specific more "cedar fair mentality" as preserving and maintaining classic rides. -Painting Mamba is a major priority probably next 2-3 years along with more maintenance upgrades such as control system and new brakes. -

VF needs to drastically expand its waterpark before they even think about a coaster. CGA needs a hyper. I can get on board with that. -

The thing is, WOF doesn't really *need* a new coaster. The park has great capacity as is. The waterpark could use some more as was evident this summer. Adding a ride or two each year is the way to go. Honestly they could add a slide and a flat every year like what was done before CFEC took over and I'd be fine. They probably will need to add a coaster in the future, but it's not a HAVE TO ADD attraction. -

Why? Because we're not one of the "big parks"? We could still get a Tempesto clone and it would do just fine here - especially if he wants a launched coaster. I'm happy that it is PLURAL rides for 2016. -

Yuck. It's kU spirit day at the park? Glad I chose not to attend Mayhem. Free Fast Lane? I'd take free Fright Lane for a renewal instead if they'd offer it. -

The death made it on national news tonight if you don't think the same media that had a field day with numerous topics this summer wouldn't go to town with a coaster themed to a death omen when someone just died at the park... Valravn is the most vague name though. Is folklore, I couldn't find anywhere online where it was referred to as a "death omen".You guys are being ridiculous. It's a fairytale name at this point. If it is out there, the media will find it. It's not being ridiculous, it's the park preventing a potential major backlash. I guess the park should rename Raptor too since it's a bird of prey? Classic example of Reductio ad absurdum, but by all means please continue. -
