  1. The schedule says morning ERT is on Mamba. Yeah I realized that later and forgot to go back and edit it. Thanks
  2. By flying from SteekHawk today, it appears the entrance to Blood on the Bayou will be near the Arcade and exit will be over by Thunderhawk queue/Timberwolf exit.
  3. Considering the angle I was going for was to hype up the new Haunt attraction it did not seem necessary to post the full schedule and requirements. Most intellectual internet savvy humans who would be interested in the event would likely have the skills to quickly and easily ascertain the needed information via the parks website or google. But, as you elegantly pointed out that you felt it was required to give any and all details of the event, and since you yourself failed to provide all pertinent information for this annual event... Blah. Blah. Blah. Ok I think everyone gets it. You have a problem with me. Thanks for posting the information for everyone even if you did it to be passive aggressive. Might I suggest that if your said problem continues that you voice said problem in a PM to me instead of putting it in on the forum for all (who don't care) to see? I have no problem discussing WOF with you, but let's at least pretend to be civilized. And bringing this back around to your point of your original post. "Yeah that's sounds interesting"
  4. Yes it is And just in case it gets lost on the previous page. Coaster Mayhem is August 15th Morning ERT on MAMBA Evening ERT on SteelHawk and Prowler
  5. Let me make one thing perfectly clear. Saying that you have information, but you can't talk about the information makes you look like an incredible a$$hole. All you're trying to do is brag that you have some sort of "information" - well guess what, let me know enlighten you - nobody cares. You're not any better than anyone else. In the history of the world, absolutely nobody has received more blow jobs for saying they have some sort of inside information at an amusement park. Because nobody cares. And besides, those who know, don't tell, and those who tell, well... you can figure the rest out... Except in this case the information was shared other than whom the source was. Not sure how that's bragging. In fact I was pretty transparent about it. However thank you for your suggestion on how to proceed I'll keep that in mind when it is applicable.
  6. Coaster Mayhem is August 15th (posting for those that did not know yet as previous posters in the thread couldn't be bothered to post all of the information when asking if anyone was going).
  7. SFSTL. Figure I might as well visit the local one at least once this season. Been to four others (SF parks) already this year.
  8. I think you meant assumption and you know what happens when one assumes
  9. Who says VF is getting anything next year? It's not a given.
  10. Isn't backseat moderating fun? Now back to actual discussion
  11. MOA is the draw. NU benefits from its location at the mall. It's not rocket science. There's a reason that even Cirque du Soleil sets up its tent next to the mall when it visits. People come for MOA.
  12. The difference is people actually go to MSP to visit MOA. It's a destination. VF on the other hand is a diversion if you have time. No one goes to MSP specifically to visit VF and nothing else in town.
  13. Well it won't be in 2016. 2017 is sounding like we are getting a dark ride. Maybe 2018?
  14. Partly my point!bBut i dont think your accurate. Soak city expansion was about 7 mil. C. W. And K. D. Both got large waterpark expansions. C.G.A. got planet Snoopy. Valleyfair's planet Snoopy was 9 mil. Dont forget C. P. got rougarou which wasnt cheap. The largest additions will not always translate into higher revenue. But it was partly my point when taken in light of valleyfair being earmarked for significant expansion. by the way, what is daft? There you go being daft again. CGA got recycled rides from KBF and new paint. They mentioned CP. CW got a recycled water slide. KD got a cloned water slide complex. Fact of the matter, the new waterpark stuff for VF represented one of the largest additions to the park since Renegade. You VF fans can foam all you want about the nomenclature that Ouimet used in a previous press release but I'd get a reality check. This industry is all about "what have you done lately" and quite honestly VF pales in comparison with regards to attendance and money brought in to others in the chain. The ROI is just not as high. So regardless if the park was called that, it won't magically get SFT amounts of money pumped into it for expansions until you guys put your money where your mouths are and prove that the ROI is there. Welcome to the entertainment world and the cold hard truth.
  15. Are you daft? He mentioned the parks that received the largest additions this year.
  16. News from where... A ride op? Proof or it didn't happen Maintenance. They tend to be a little more reliable with this kind of stuff. I guess I could screen capture the text but I'm not going to burn the guy to satisfy your curiosity.
  17. Just wondering, when was the Americana gate scrapped? My first trip to WOF was in 2002. I don't remember whether is was there or not, because at the time I was only 3 years old (16 now). Also, I've heard that some of the old ship is still there next to the bridge to SteelHawk. If this is true, does anyone have any pictures of it today? I go to WOF twice every year and I haven't noticed it. It was one of the first things Cedar Fair did. So 1996/1997 was around when it was shut down. Then the boats all started getting removed. As to your question, the hull to the Henrietta is still there kind of. The old ticket booth for Grand Prix Raceway was part of the Henrietta
  18. News out of the park is that next year will be a small flat and a new front gate and surrounding area
  19. I think if you grew up with the Americana entrance you would think the current gate has all the charm of a service entrance, which is exactly what it was originally. Only used on peak attendance days.
  20. Maybe try this cool new feature on the internet called GOOGLE Wow. Way to be a Proctodynia The Fair starts the 13th. BTW
  21. When does the State Fair start? It gets stupid busy at the park during that.
  22. I could have sworn it used to have chaser lights
  23. What I've found out is that the "safety theater" seat belts at Outlaw Run is what slows down load time. Since they are not retractable, the belt likes to get tangled and then it takes time for the buckle to either elongate or shorten the belt. Then you have your usual WOS riders who didn't bother using the test seat at the entrance. It piles on and makes the wait longer -- but it is nothing the crew is doing wrong. They try to go as fast as they can.
  24. All right. I decided it was time to mock up what a front gate could look like using the Orient Express lot. It could work.
  25. It is going to take a little bit, but I am going to go through your plan and give my thoughts and offer some counter proposals here and there -- might take a few posts. BUMPER CARS: I am all for moving the adult bumper cars, but I don’t feel that current kiddie bumper car building is sufficient enough. What I propose is removing that entire building and putting it at grade with the pathway between it and Detonator. Then you can have a new DODGEM building. The kiddie bumper cars would receive a new building up in Planet Snoopy (where the need to be anyway). I honestly do not want them to remove one of the last wooded areas in the park - so I am against a coaster in that area. COUNTER PROPOSAL FOR EUROPA: 1. Disk-O coaster in place of the Autobahn and have it run from the restrooms to the train tracks. Entrance would be under the hump of the track and then the queue / station would be opposite side of the rest of the area. Exit can be between spike closest to the station and the train track. 2. Move Le Carrousel up to Planet Snoopy and put a new flat ride in the building that is left – maybe a Himalaya style ride. 3. Move Le Taxi Tour to near SteelHawk 4. Build new B&M coaster on the former site of Le Taxi Tour. There would be a new plaza for the coaster, which would result in the entire asphalt of the area being removed and replaced with concrete. 5. With the added traffic to this area, the restaurant will need to be upgraded. The restrooms will probably need to be expanded. Déjà vu Gifts can remain the Retro shop OR they can change it to be the gift shop for the new coaster. That area features a HUGE ravine making it next to impossible to put in a new area. If they do anything with this area (and quite literally it would be one of the last areas to get anything) it would be to put in a station for a coaster for behind FInnish Fling and then have it run out into the parking lot area or somewhere similar. Here are my problems with using the Orient Express lot. First of all, the terrain would have to be completely changed. It would also require a lot of attention to the run off (water) and some of the settling of the ground. Next you'll have to deal with the fact that entrance would be even farther away from the back lots. Then you run into the problem of where are you going to have the path from the new entrance enter the park? The most logical spot would be straight into the Orient, but you have Spinning Dragons in the way. So where do you go? I honestly think that this area will become parking before it becomes part of the park. Patriot has successfully cut this area off from the park and with a new entrance area, this area gets cut off from Orient as well. Wouldn't make more sense for an expansion of Planet Snoopy to take up where the Heart America Theatre lawn is? That area is already located inside the park and infrastructure is already present for electric, water, etc. I'll reply on the rest of the "colors" later
