  1. I personally prefer "High Hawk", since alliteration and coaster names are always so snappy!
  2. I never seriously expected an underground tunnel for this coaster, or any other at CP for that very reason. A raised enclosure that the drop went into, however, was a perfectly reasonable hope for a Dive Coaster, based on many other models. And it totally could have worked right there (who knows, maybe it will be there in reality), instead of being open like it is. Whatever, though... It'll still be an amazing experience, even without that, and being able to look down on people standing on the midway, gawking, before dropping straight towards them, will be cool too! (I'm definitely thinking an edge seat on the front right side might be the money seat on this baby! )
  3. ^You forgot the most common one... People literally complaining about others "complaining" about things, usually when those original people are just expressing minor disappointments, and not actually complaining...
  4. I'm definitely excited to ride it next year, and I'm sure it will be great! That doesn't mean I'm thrilled about the lack of interaction on the drop with a tunnel, or some other sort of theming. However, this is Cedar Point, and not Busch Gardens here, so I suppose I was setting the bar too high in that regard, thinking of what those Dive Coasters did (not to mention most other parks with Dive Coasters, but I digress...) Still, a fabulous addition to Cedar Point, and I can't wait to ride it! I think my favorite unknown thing about the announcement, was the fact that there is a path now between the Blue Streak/Valravn area, and the Marina Entrance! It'll be so nice not having that be a dead end back there anymore! If that old Pirate Ride building does end up being the area where their eventual Triotech Dark Ride goes, it will only further make that new attraction accessible as well. One last thing... Regardless of what the track looks like in person, there is no way you can deny that it is orange in the POV videos! I'll never be thrilled with the colors, or many of CP's color choices in general, but thankfully that means nothing when it comes to my enjoyment of the park, and its fantastic coasters!
  5. Considering that the coaster was supposed to be announced almost a month ago, and I simply can't imagine them announcing, and putting into production, a coaster that wasn't completely approved yet, I have to think this isn't going to hold up whatever they have planned! Maybe the coaster IS only 217 feet, instead of the previously thought 230. Or maybe there is going to be a ravine after the drop in the middle of the marina entrance midway that the coaster drops 13 feet into. I just can't imagine CP being so presumptuous as to not get height clearance before getting into the manufacturing and announcement phase of the coaster. All this to say nothing of the fact that CP has already gone WAY over 230 feet all over the peninsula, and I can't see the FAA suddenly caring about this particular location - especially involving a closed airport...
  6. Same coaster as the last time I posted in this thread: Shivering Timbers!
  7. I haven't ridden an RMC, and I love all the B&M Hypers I have ridden, but I'd still vote for an RMC! They look amazing, get almost across the board fantastic reviews, and you're taking a coaster that isn't great now (to many people), and making it into potentially one of the best in the world! There's always time for a large steel Hypercoaster later on, but first? I'd love to see "Iron Boss"!
  8. The Mondial Windseekers had trouble because they were Mondial Windseekers, not Mondial Windseekers. Did that make any sense? I read you loud and clear! And yes, I think to compare the two entirely different types of ride from the same manufacturer would be a mistake. It would seem a ride like Windseeker would inherently have more problems than a Frisbee -like ride.
  9. This is what I was wondering, and getting the impression of from some earlier comments. I'd originally planned on going the later date, but I am now re-thinking it, and looking at the beginning of the month instead... Thanks for the feedback!
  10. Anything to enhance the waterfront, is a WIN in my book!
  11. A lot of people in Michigan were led to believe Thunderhawk was a new coaster, too! It happens...
  12. Yeah, but I was referring to colors on roller coasters! Superman is similar as well, but whatevs... I DO like all this two-tone track popping up! Pretty cool new look for coasters!
  13. ^I'm pretty sure HWFan said that Rush Street Flyer wasn't going anywhere, FWIW...
  14. I actually agree about the colors, but looking around the park, they are pretty unique for GAdv, so that makes them not so bad, IMO... Now if it was CP adding yet another red and yellow coaster...!
  15. Does it make me a "bad enthusiast" that "capacity" is the last thing I'm thinking about whenever I see a new coaster addition?
  16. Ok, so the Harley Quinn re-theme of Crazy Legs we know. But does anybody know where the other two rides are going to be placed in Gotham City?
  17. I agree on both counts! They would both be EXCELLENT additions to the park, and perfect locations, too!
  18. THIS x 1000! My least favorite coster EVER! And I don't even LIKE Larson Super Loops!
  19. So, I'm assuming that Hurricane Force 5 will be taking Frisbee's old spot, and probably extending out behind that. Where are the other two attractions going, if anybody knows? Also, did Frisbee end up anywhere else? Or is it simply toast?
  20. ...and this gives a GCI coaster the awesome airtime it never had! Now they just need to do this with more GCI woodies! Gwazi...can you be next? Please let it be so! Just thinking about RMC having their way with Gwazi... Excuse me... I, er, need to go take care of something...
  21. Having not been on Batman at SFFT, but thinking it looked pretty cool, I'm excited about potentially getting on this one sooner! If I have one complaint (oh horrors! A human being for which everything isn't 100% rainbows and unicorns! ), it's only that I wish the coaster actually extended out over the water on the end that's near it. I think it'll still be cool there, being so close to the water, but being a big water theming guy, I would have loved to have the base of the coaster be right up against the lake, with the rest of the drops above it extending over the water than the animation indicates. It's a minor issue, however, and it's possible that in reality, it WILL be closer to the water. It almost seems as if was designed and located with that kind of effect in mind... Still, a cool, if rather modest, addition for GAdv, and one that I'm sure will be a BIG hit! Maybe the B&M Wing Coaster is coming in a couple more years, guys!
  22. I know the announcement says "Spring" of 2016... Do any of the regulars know if that means Memorial Day typically? I'm just wondering when the soonest I can plan my trip out will be!
