  1. I could really see a Super Looper there, maybe somewhere in between the Ninja's finale and the Riddler's. Plus SFMM could ^^ (call it their 20th coaster). Need I say more?
  2. Well, put Scream into the ride rotation program and problem solved. /sarcasm The floater airtime on standups is really neat. In the inversions, the airtime feels much looser because your legs are free and only the top of the OTSR can prevent you from rising. Its funny how B&M's most consistent "non-cookie cutter rides" are the standups/wings. Every single design* was IMO pretty cool in terms of layout and flow and unique, maybe save for Iron Wolf. The floorless generation that followed were all pretty similar. *I understand that Chang and Mantis are ALMOST clones.
  3. BTMRR @ Disney World (or I suppose most of the clones) have some brusing transitions, and not helped by a shared lap bar (obvious intent for a family oriented ride, and not single riders). Otherwise it was pretty good for a Vekoma.
  4. Oh, I specifically don't want SFMM to get a giga. You guys are spoiled dirty. I simply was estamating the ridiculous price (which would be almost half of the 90 mil annual investments for the chain).
  5. Goliath... 230-some ft tall, 4500 ft of track and 30 million, and 5 million mode than the slightly longer Titan twin. Now Leviathan/Fury were both 30ish million for an unearthquake proofed ride. Also remember, 4500 ft gets a lot more elements in smaller coasters as each element is smaller. So exponentially, you're going to lose the maximum number of fair sized elements when the max height increases. So lets figure a 4500 ft giga is 35 million (25 mil for base ride, add 10 million to earthquake proof it because theres a large area to cover). But that only gets you 4500 ft, which will visually appear short. And for comparisons, F325 is 6100 ft. I know I stated the earthquake proofing for Goliath was 5 mil, but the ride is on a smaller scale than a giga and is a twister, so some supports can be shared and cut costs. This is how I predicted approx. 10 mil for an out and back giga's proofing.
  6. Yeah, nice grass... and e-stopped Windseeker lol.
  7. Funny that's there is no evidence of a Shockwave removal and yets there is all this speculation. So canada Wonderland removed theirs? Big deal. Thay doesn't prove anything. IMO, you guys will get a coaster when they deciede and announce to.
  8. Apparently Tony realeased the park, year, and conversion to a newspaper. I read the article but I dont know where it went.
  9. Is it just me or are the ledgers noticeably banked on the drop?
  10. The lack of a stablizer makes this some what impractical for video. A flycam (portable) , jibcrane (not necessarily portable...), etc. is a better option IMO. On-ride, loose articles shouldn't be permitted period, and god forbid thoseextending past tested clearances.
  11. Intamin prefab-aquatrack /endstory
  12. I consider Topper Tracks fully wood, but to be fair, they use quite the thick "strip" of metal. Its not really a strip anymore as it is a "layer". This surely gives them an advantage structually in track shaping and ridablitly. For me, the laser cut wood gives a more tradtional feel (nothing against RMC). Alan Schlike was talking about at IAAPA 2013 the verstitility of their topper track, stating they were able to twist three degrees / ft of track - another advantage they have in the market. I have no ways to conpare this as other statisitics are bot available, but from his excitement, I could tell it must have been a big hurdle previously. If I can dig up my post comparing Gwazi and Balder then maybe you will see the extreme difference cost and value.
  13. RMC merely vonstucted the ride, I believe. That is one of the services they have done quite a bit in the past.
  14. Well, it will be impossible have any headbanging issues on the new trains.
  15. Im sorry, I forgot about 67. Yeah, Ive taken both interstates to St. Louis and Little Rock many many (mostly i55) times. Together they are long routes. I was born in St. Louis and lived there for 11 years. We moved to Memphis and so we take i55 a lot to go back up to our hone town. We also have been to Little Rock too, so I am familiar that those routes sum a greater time than the direct on through Springfield.
  16. Nope. What he is doing is driving to Texas (lets assume he takes the interstate on as many routes as possible) from Little Rock and going straight to St Louis. Then, on the way home, he takes i44 to Springfeild and goes down (45 mins) to SDC.he can continue south after SDC to Little Rock without even going back to i44. Otherwise, he wouldhave to go 45 mins down to Branson, then 45 mins back up to i44, and then go back down that route a third time to cut down to AK. This is versus taking that path only once (which he will take to go home anyhow, as it is ~7.5 hrs from StL via i55 and i40 to Little Rock). So he would have saved a total of 1.5 hrs. If you dont understand, that highway Branson is off of continues down to Little Rock. So effectively, he could go from i44 @ Springfield to Little Rock, passing through Branson on the way down.
  17. ^ Same, but i would think that they would not hang that low.
  18. I was refering to "flops" in the industry in generaland I wasn't even thinking of PKD v. CF KD, like you said, has the best lineup in the state, but IMO the best in the region (Carowinds and SFGAd being the biggest oppositions of the title). My first trip to KD isn't until July so I cant speak of family attractions. Speaking of which, any recommendations on a weekday at the park? What to expect?
  19. Right. Especially if you're driving. From Texas to St. Louis you pass through Springfield, MO which is only 45 miles from Branson. Though I'm late, his route is the fastest by far. He can do SDC on the way down to Little Rock so he doesn't have to drive back 45 to the interstate. So his route is 45 minutes faster.
  20. SFStL sent their Scooby props in to SFFT for replacements. I don't know if this means they want it around any longer, but there is already one JLBFM in Texas as ^said.
  21. You know, every roller coaster is another risk for the park. What if it doesn't have a good return? What if there is an incident and the public backlashes? You have to hire more employees and maintain yet another coaster. Is this a bit dramatic? Actually, it is. But it all has happened before mutliple times. Only because KD is doing soo good that I think KD will not be seeing another major roller coaster. Now, if they did, it wouldn't be bad, but CF IMO has a pretty good current focus.
  22. Not really... But sone rides can shoot expectations way down in disappointment. I loved Goliath at SFOG in '12, and Nitro was a beast in '14. Early this year I rode Goliath again and was so disappointed. Its no longer the same, not even the helix-hill. I hear people have expectations set too high for some RMCs after riding one, and then their next one turns out yo not be as good (example: going IRat then NTAG). Its all about the order you experience them. I haven't gone for enough consecutive days at different parks to completely answer your question though.
