My brother today: i dont want to get on the roller coasters while I am wet because I will slip out.

That Hurler-Grizzley combined circuit RMC at KD. Or maybe that new launched wing rider replacing Shockwave at KD.

Been at BGW this week (actually on the way back to the resort now). We are going to KD tomorrow or Thursday.

I'm currently at the park for the week. The landscaping here blows me away, but navagaiting the park is the biggest PITA. Kind of reminds me of SFMM/SFOG in terms of hills and windy paths. Saturday afternoon was very light. We got on five coasters (intentionally saving Verbolten for the next night)and Griffin three times within 30 mins (twice in front, once in the back). We apso watched the fireworks from the "Verbolten" bridge. Sunday was a nightmare. We spent the morning at WCUSA and the wave pool looked like World War Z. Lines at BGW were big (we ended up parking in Ireland, it was that full), but operations were freaking incredible. All trains on many coasters, including all five on Verbolten. Going to keep this short (very random order): Verbolten x1: Easily the best family coaster I have been on. Very fun, and more forceful than I expected. The theming is just incredible, and the station is really cool. I got a little lost before entering the first switchbacks/building, as that part of the queue (outside the fences) is really confusing. The headlights/tail lights are too freaking cool (i only rode Verbolten at night). Also for the mega-nerds, the color sequence of the five trains Sunday night was: yellow, red, orange, green, blue (tail lights on both yellow and blue, headlights only on blue). And hate me, but I prefer this over Cheetah Hunt... Apollos Carrot x1: I prefer Nitro. Griffy Girl x5: i took some advice and rode in the back. I cant get enough. Im going to leave for the park once again when I complete this post, and this will most likely be the most ridden coaster of the night a third time. Alpengiest x1: that MCBR snap felt like every joint in that train grinded... Curse of Dark Castle x1: far too loud but good. Im half deaf, so I have to save whats left... Tempesto x3: Hate the trains, love the ride. I suppose most of you guys know why (hint: I rode in the back). I love the queue string lights. I am familiar with the old school Premiers (SFStL is/was my home park), but this was my first on the new gens. Lochness Monster x2: back row both times. No headbanging and good airtime on the drops Europe in the Air x1: ugh... Only did this to see how bad it was. Worth mentioning the Skyride is very good and scenic. Since I have so much time, I saved some rides for the rest of the week. Pompei and Mach Tower are on the list tonight, and maybe Le Scoot. These are my last of the must rides, so the rest of the week should just be marathoning good rides.

Going to the park tomorrow (currently still at BGW). How have this week's crowds been? We will have to leave early in the morning to arrive before opening. Should we be worried about rush hour interstate traffic? It seems that I can take i64 from Williamsburg a few miles to highway 30, and (couple if roads later), take highway 30 to Doswell. Would this be a better option?

I rode my first Premier 2nd gen launch Friday night, and i really hate the small fit. Those trains are cramped, and I have very long legs. Otherwise, it (Tempesto) is probably ond of my favorite rides. In the back car, the airtime on the second drop gives continuous ejector time until you hit the valley of the non-inverting loop (when incredible +g's are then found). If I had to chose a least-favorite moment, it would be the heartline roll - its the only break I got from the extreme forces! So I think Premier will win every time another on of these is built.

The Gerstlauer trains are just god awful. I wouldnt mind riding their creations it if werent for those d*mned things.

Where is the best place to buy single day tickets?

This trip report is great! I am on my way to Virginia for KD, BGW, and Colonial Williamsburg, and you are elevating my excitement!

Well, good thing I am on my way to Virginia for vacation roght now. Shockwave (or any Togo) tops my list for must-have credits. I just really want to try one out, but flying to Japan wont be an option. Atleast the KD fanboys can shut up about removing Shockwave, but... *incoming speculations*... Sigh.

Better: they should have bought interlocking Larson Super Loops

El Toro's RT hill. What were they thinking making something so awesome in ejector air, that it beautifully hurts?

Boomerang sucks, and Evil Knievel is absolutely loaded with airtime; it's a Thunderbird clone. Highland Fling is an Enterprise with a 1-2 cycle wait (sometimes a walk on if you catch it during loading) and SFGAd has lost both of theirs over the years. Besides, you don't have a GCI at SFGAd.

Though I knew the layout, I never paid any attention to the forces in POV's. Eight years later, I rode El Toro for the first time in the magic seat, and that RT hill was painfully awesome. NOTHING compares to that ejector hill.

They only repainted the blue supports in 2012 with the new trains as well, they don't seem to do SDL's track. Fahrenheit is next for a new pain job. And so I've noticed, but that doesnt help the track not look like sh!t. In fact, IMO the entire ride would look more bold if it was all painted, because to me the rust (a similar darkness) blends (doesnt contrast) with the supports and overall give it a flat appearance.

Calling this a huant attraction.

Try an Arrow/Vekoma frankenstein looper, ranked 5th worst coaster in the world. Its sentimental to me being my first looper and I still want it torn down.

When was the last time SooperDooperLooper's track was painted? It looks pitiful, all rusted solid.
