  1. I personally think the ride is really great actually. It has above decent pacing and the helix looks like it will be rather forceful. I'll reserve my judgement for when the POV is out
  2. With the demolition going on by the lakefront, I think something rather large is coming. They have the space now, but the thing is that we know an attraction is almost certainly coming but we don't even know if it's a coaster, let alone what type of coaster. I agree, by the way. We were insanely spoiled, and we have a top notch lineup but we're a bit overdue for a coaster now
  3. ^I haven't been following construction/development. Have they started construction yet or is it still in planning stages?
  4. I get the missile silo thing a bit (Some people might think it looks like one ,2015 seems to be the "murder your skyline year"), but 500 feet? And the fact that it "shoots you up the missle silo"? That would be a 'little' intense.
  5. ^It has indeed, but that's what makes it a fun discussion! I love when people share their visions of what a park might/should receive. It's really fun and interesting to engage in and watch.
  6. The link is definitely fake, but from the looks of it, there is a lot of activity going on construction-wise in the park (the bulldozer only backs this up). Remember, this is one of Cedar Fair's highest priority parks, so seeing a coaster this far after Leviathan isn't so unrealistic, and I do think something is coming for 2016 (If not, 2017)
  7. ^True. I'm putting that under "possible but highly unlikely".
  8. Since we can do coasters we haven't ridden, updated list (Almost the same) Intamin- Intimidator 305 B&M- Fury 325 RMC- (tie) Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus
  9. ^Great review, but I think you're vastly underrating Dominator. It's definitely an above average floorless; It has some intense positive g's for a floorless, so much that I greyed out on the first drop the second time I rode it (In my defense, I hadn't had anything to drink all day, so dehydration probably played a role. I also was tired, and I had already ridden I305).
  10. Intamin: I305 B&M: TIE: Behemoth and Nitro RMC: Haven't been on one, but I'm tie-ing WC and TC
  11. ^Really? I know an employee at CP who said the trains are completely new, despite the wheels looking worn.
  12. ^It will likely have the box track. Here's the reason they use the double spine: SInce this design has been created before, it will likely have the exact same supports and track style as TTD/KK. But who knows, Intamin does like to innovate.
  13. Whatever we get, I'm glad we'll finally get a close look at some construction action during Holiday in the Park!
  14. The recent changes after I305 were necessary. But I do think KD will get something this year, there's just no proof yet. As someone said earlier, nothing KD could build in the future will ever surpass I305; That's a world class ride among world class rides.
  15. ^^My mistake. But didn't some sort of refurbishment or something happen recently? I could have sworn I read that somewhere
  16. Great Adventure: Only place you can ride a hyper, pre-fab, and a strata coaster. Cedar Point: Only place you can ride a hyper, giga, and a strata coaster. Before Rougarou, the only place you could ride a floorless and a giga was King's Dominion.
  17. I think something is in the cards for KD, and the August announcement being (unofficially) confirmed so early reaffirms this. It will have been 4/5 years since I305, so I think they could get a hyper or a wingrider. I think definitely a B&M, as they only have Dominator. I agree that Shockwave isn't dead yet, as it was just re-painted; a sign that it has a few more years to go. If they get a hyper, I imagine the entrance through an airtime hill (rather than a Zero G roll), and if it's a wingrider it could be like CP's.
  18. I agree, but I'm not complaining. With an out and back layout, you get the sense that you're on a journey (somewhat) and that you're really going somewhere. That's why I prefer something like Nitro over Raging Bull
  19. Great POV! When I went on I305 I sat in that exact seat, so I relived the moment a bit . Curious, how did you mount your camera in the back seat?
  20. ^That's really interesting! So to get this straight, can anyone attend the commercial shoot or do you have to get invited, or is it something else?
  21. ^I think it's because we already have a floorless, and in some people's view wingriders are somewhat similar.
  22. ^I'm not sure. I went on Coasters after Dark, Zumanjaro closed late in the day, and it's been troubled ever since. I've asked some ride ops/employees what was wrong with it, but you know, "technical difficulties" .
  23. This has the potential to be one of the greatest rides ever created. It might sound like I'm exaggerating, but I don't think so; It looks to have everything; Multiple launches, world-class theming, 116 CROSSES (which is UNREAL!), speed, and intensity (which is guaranteed since it's an Intamin. I can't wait to see the finished product.
