  1. Lul z.... Learned a new word filter The 2 guys that signed up within the last three months and started posting within the last week have a little Bro-mance blossioming... Nothing suspicious here.... This is the quality entertainment that keeps me coming back
  2. Yeah, good move. I have the same setup at work, so I end up taking a couple of trips usually. Others are correct about TTD. Ride Corkscrew last; it's the only genuinely bad coaster there. Also, you can't ride Wilderness Run unless you have a child with you. Or you could be a complete credit whore and ask Town Hall for a pass to ride. But only if you care that much about creds; you're better off getting re-rides on Vengeance, the Intamins, Raptor or Magnum. I was denied such a pass for Wilderness Run. They said they only give those in clear cases where an adult has special needs. And there are people here that don't find this weird/creepy
  3. Umm, they ran Bull with multiple trains during a good chunk of HitP, up to and including 12/30... Same thing with X-Flight.... And Batman... But I'm sure you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night The event was tremendously well attended. Until the public quits showing up on "good weather" days, this event isn't going anywhere. Yes, the park will close due to "weather" (low attendance) several times each HitP season... But the park will make $TEXAS on days where it's 30*F and sunny....
  4. Tickets like this are like Gift Cards in the eyes of Six Flags: They are hoping that people buy them, then forget to use them. The new weather policy aids in that. They hope that you tell yourself that you'll reuse your ticket for a rainy day in June sometime in August, but we all know how our lives can conspire against plans like that... It's a simple step that keeps money coming in and allows a simple mitigation step in dealing with customer complaints/anxieties.
  5. Interesting choice of words... SF always has a huge "MSRP" on their passes that you NEVER have to pay... I'd say that this is just an empty marketing threat. But you might see a ~$100-150 increase in the season FP rate come January. It will cost more, but still will be at a discounted rate compared to the "MSRP" of Season FP...
  6. Depends on your definition of "big".... I can promise that whatever they get in 2020 will be too big to fit inside a 5-gallon bucket... That's pretty big to me
  7. It's the blue house, with the blue corvette, and the blue little windows. Everything is blue for him...
  8. I was just thinking about this... Every other park has some areas that are closed off, correct? I know our park is unique with the "loop" shape, but I wasn't expecting everything open. It's a large area to have to clean up and maintain for the event...
  9. Y'all do realize that if the (infamous) trim is "off" you are actually on a slow run, right? Also, Yay RB running....
  10. https://www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/news/six-flags-magic-waters Six Flags adds Magic Waters in Rockford, IL to their list of water parks. Six Flags will operate the park starting in Spring 2019...
  11. https://www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/news/six-flags-magic-waters Six Flags will manage Magic Waters, a waterpark in Rockford, IL.... Ho hum.... Park is out in the middle of nowhere... Probably a good thing if you live in Rockford, but not really doing much for the rest of the Chicago area...
  12. Columbus Day weekend tends to be one of the busiest of the Fall, so yes, you will need it...
  13. Again, I don’t disagree that it’s not acceptable. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying that when this continues to happen year after year after year (see your post from last year that I just linked to) at some point you need to adjust your expectations or vote with your wallet and stop going. If enthusiasts who should know better keep going and keep acting surprised by this at some point it becomes partially on them. I really have to wonder how many people are speaking with their wallets though... I mean, you figure for every 1 of us (enthusiasts) there are 10-15 "GP'ers"... Those are the people that will rip Guest Services a new one with an experience like ThrillRider's. But the parks are still packed to insane levels, so why should parks raise payroll? It's just flushing profit down the toilet if they are not losing guests because of unsatisfactory experiences. I honestly don't believe that the public has spoken with their wallets yet, so parks will keep on moving forward with the current plan.
  14. It would be most prevalent when you have significant temperature differences between Lake Erie and the air temperature. Cool air and warm water up the odds significantly, but you also need little wind, and that is the weakest link on the peninsula...
  15. Just curious: does the Skip the Line pass w/ Diamond/Diamond Elite allow you to bypass the X2 upcharge w/ a Flash Pass?
  16. Questions regarding memberships: - Are perks like preferred parking, skip the line passes, and unlimited drinks at all parks or just your "home" park? I can't find this clarified anywhere and their chat bot is useless. - How do the Skip the Line passes work? I know at SFGAm, I have heard people mention that you need to stop into the Flash Pass building to pickup a paper Skip the Line pass. This has created a long wait to get the passes, so it seems like it may be a wash as far as time saved with this. Also heard conflicting reports regarding the Skip the Line pass being for just me or if I can use it for anyone who enters the line with me.
  17. if you're looking to avoid long lines Cedar Point is definitely not the place to go. When you live an hour away from a park and can basically go whenever you want, you go on days where it's not crowded... Unfortunately those days are few and far between at SFGAm over the past few seasons....
  18. This park pushes me away by having long lines among some other problems, to the point where I was looking at the pass options for 2019 and considering looking elsewhere (spoiler CP) for my coaster fix.... Then they pull this out of their ass Well played SFGAm... Well played... **Signs up for membership ** Also, if you are coming to Chicago and only looking for pizza, you are missing out on a very underrated culinary city P.S. Giardano's sucks donkey
  19. This has been discussed quite a bit in the SF Corporate thread... Basically, it's SF raising the price without making it look like they are raising the price **shrug**
  20. So I can just come to your front door and carve my name into it... Got it!
