  1. Twisted Cyclone at SFOG. Very good ride
  2. Smart move would be to great nor easter it. Fresh new smooth track with some fancy new Vekoma trains !
  3. I have seen some very interesting looking NL creations on this coaster. If it turns out as good as those it could become the best coaster on the west coast
  4. Cedar Fair tried on multiple occasions in the past to sell GCA. Even at Six Flag's worst times MM has never been offered for sale
  5. Six Flags Over Georgia! We flew in Saturday morning. Had some spare times before the park opened and got breakfast downtown. We arrived at the park about 45 minutes before opening. I was shocked to see some coasters already running with people on them. Turns out a group of people paid for ert. We purchased the flash pass in advance and it was worth the money. As the day went on the park got busier and busier. I wanted to rent the watch but we opted to just do it on our phone. It worked great until I accidentally cleared the screen and it would not let me log back in. We were able to skip every coaster and get multiple rides on Goliath and Twisted Cyclone. This park has a very solid ride line up. It may be my favorite Six Flags I have visited. It's up there with Great America. Every coaster was running. Almost every food stand and store was open. Most parks we visited this year looked horribly under staffed but this park seemed to be running pretty good. I have said this on previous Six Flags reviews but it seems to be getting harder and harder to find non dc magnets and merch. Onto the rides First ride of the day was the Georgia Scorcher. We sat in the back seat and the pop of air on the first drop was good. This one was fairly smooth for a stand up. I like the newer paint scheme it had. Our second coaster was Goliath. I had the highest hopes for this ride. I love long sustained g's like the death helix on Titan at Over Texas. Goliaths downward spiral turn around looked great. This ride really looks great over the midways and throughout the park. Its placement in the middle of the park really looks good. Goliath has a good layout. Some nice floater airtime. Some actual whip near the end of the ride. The spiral helix turnaround was really good. Unfortunately this is the bumpiest B&M hyper I have ridden. It even has more rattle then Diamondback. I had multiple rides in the very front and very back and all the rides had the rattle. It was still a great ride though. Can the regulars tell me if the trains just need some love and new wheels or is the ride just getting old? We then reserved Dare Devil Dive. This ride is the smoothest coaster I have ever been on. Very enjoyable ride. Not as good as Monster but easily my second favorite euro fighter style coaster Dare Devil Dive, Riddler and Batman kept going down after we would reserve them. We managed to switch out reservations and crank them all out I really enjoyed Shock Wave at over Texas but felt Riddler did not hold a candle to it. The new trains were nice enough though and I loved the bright green track. Who manufactured the new trains? Premier? Batman was next. Don't need to write too much about this ride. I have been on lots of BTR clones and they are amazing. Foot numbing goodness! I got to experience the new generation Vekoma looping trains on Carolina Cobra and loved them. It had me very intrigued to try Blue Hawk. This coaster is beautiful on the lake. The dark gray supports and blue track looks sharp. The new trains absorb alot but you can still feel the awkward transitions though. Least it was a unique layout with loads of great headchoppers. Great American scream Machine was listed as closed for the day on the flash pass app but was open and the attendant let on right on through the flash pass entrance. I have heard many horror stories about this GASM. The ride does have a shuffle but the airtime hills provide air. The solid floater airtime was worth the jittery trains. Superman is no Manta. I thought it was closed. Turns out it was just extremely slow dispatches. The pretzel loop was as intense and disorienting as them all. The rest of the ride just kinda meandered around. Waiting on the break run forever was getting uncomfortable.Would be nice if on the brake run the trains transitioned back into the sitting position. 2nd station was not running. Dolonga. Dahhlanga. Dahahalonga. Dahlonega mine train was a long multiple lift hill old school mine train. It was as janky as a 1960's arrow coaster should be. I love chance rides and was excited to ride a super sized big dipper. Joker fun house coaster is a perfect first coaster for kids. Fairly smooth, long layout, nice interaction with tunnels and midways. Trains can actually fit 2 adults or an adult and a child. Twisted Cyclone was our last coaster to knock out. Like Goliath we got multiple rides with some in the front and some in the back. This ride is the star of the park. May be my favorite RMC. It may be short but every element pops. Love the white wood and blue steel track. Cyclone and superman were seeing who could have slower dispatches. Watching women and kids trying to lift the lapbars was sad. They were just awkwardly heavy with nothing really to grab to pull them up. The whole park had a weird policy where you could not lower your own lap bar. Almost every ride the ride attendant would lower it for you. Really slowed some dispatches down. We tried mobile food ordering for the first time. Our food was supposed to be ready between 2:30 and 2:45 and we finally got it around 3:20. People in the regular line were getting food much quicker. My wings were great but my wifes burger was awful We did a little bit of the Halloween stuff. Did some of the scare zones. We did not pay for any of the upcharge walk throughs. The disco train was fun and you could tell the operators singing and dancing while dressed up really enjoyed their jobs It was nice to do a quick trip without our kids. We were able to do some stuff in downtown Atlanta and visit a new great park in a short weekend. Grand Rapids to Atlanta flights are quick and easy. Rental cars are plentiful in Atl and the drive was not bad to get to the park. I would recommend any enthusiast who has not been to Over Georgia to give it a visit. My count is now 196 and I need to figure out what my 200th credit will be!
  6. toro malvado please no rmc lol. Have Intamin come in and fix it. You can only cut maintenance so much before stuff like this starts to happen. I hate reading comments online of people blaming Intamin when it was accident free since 2006 until last year
  7. they think only 3 more years and it will be finished. They are racing sfot with Aquaman
  8. So can a qbot be rented or are those totally gone? I already reserved the flash pass. I am just hoping I do not have to lug my phone around. How do you use your phone for flash pass when so some rides have a no loose articles policy?
  9. Curious if a Six Flags, IB or Fun Spot type operator will step up? If not I can see Fun Spot buying some goodies at auction
  10. When are you going? Me and my wife fly down to visit this park on the 24th
  11. Does Six Flags still offer a watch for the flashpass? I would hate to be tied to my phone all day
  12. I had to do a quick double take thinking it said strata coaster lol
  13. Cedar Point thrived with Intamin in the early 2000's
  14. I can see LSM's replacing the hydraulic launch. Maybe even adding tunnels to the launch and breaks to stop debris from hitting bystanders (my unrealistic hope would be adding lsm's up the tower to get it to 500 feet for the first polar coaster)
  15. If the park makes money no reason to close it or sell it
  16. If this place has really fallen into this bad of disrepair I wonder if sea world could buy it? It already has the animals and the rides.
  17. Seriously though its easy to advertise gimmicks and six flags is the king of gimmicks
  18. I'm gonna guess flipping the trains back forwards. I would love to see Six Flags do something gimmicky like putting spinning trains on it and advertise worlds first shuttle launch spin coaster ect ect
  19. So with my crazy work schedule and passion for parks we do a lot of quick trips. Fly into a town hit the park and fly home the next morning type trips. I want to do a quick west coast trip. My idea is to fly into LAX and hit Magic Mountain and then head up to Great America to experience it before it closes. What is the best commuter options? Normally we rent a car but I wasn't sure with LA traffic. Is Amtrack a viable option? Are amtrak stations close enough to both parks to make bus or uber options? Is renting a car the best bet? Any locals to Cali that can give me good advice?
  20. Would have been a good year to really update expand and improve the bugs bunny kids areas
  21. Every Cedar Fair park could use a fun little family launch coaster
  22. I would have liked to have seen more capacity on the mouse. Like Sierra Sidewinder style trains
