Does anyone remember the spots with the creepy burger king guy from the late 70's-early 80's?? I saw one the other day on line and I never knew how "molester-esque" that guy looked.

Id say the alternative universe Los Angeles in Quenten Tarantinos mind: Lots of sultry bombshells, cool cats in suits and restaurants like Jackrabbit Slims. -
Photo TR: The Johnson's first TPR meet in Florida!

Cool TR so far, im sorry I missed it....Blame the GF and her "Fear" of hurricanes recently...i'll be making up by going to WDW/UO/IOA in the spring. -
Robb, Its Fox News, do you expect any less?? Their whole business is sensationlism and they seem to do a pretty good job of demonizing everything and everyone they think is a threat. I talked to my friends in O-Town....they stated it blew through, knocked over a few trees, rained and that was it. nothing major. Chris "Call Me Ollie Williams" Zer0

The Valtrex ads really get on my nerves as well, whatever happened to the day when you kept your mouth shut and your herpes to yourself? I dont wanna know about your genital issues...no taste. Im also put out by the new target ads. I dont need a dance performance to make me buy lysol or their crappy in-house chocolate brand, choxie.

I caught "Doom" this weekend....its ok, not an oscar winner by any strech. Dwayne "Rock" Johnson is the star of this opus and pretty much carries the film. Its a good weekend popcorn film that requires little to no thinking. 3 out of 5 stars Chris "New web radio show coming soon" Zer0

It appears to be Diabetic Dan directing people to a real life church, not one of those imaginary ones that reimages the lord as a monkey (obscure butthole surfers reference) and has a building made out of fudgecake

one word: creepy -
AK will more then likely be upgraded (in my book,at least) to a full day park when EE opens in the spring. It also depends on where your staying. If you're onsite, go for an early morning, see the sites, get credits and leave around 1 or 2

I play Quake 4 and I have no desire to head to a desolate planet to fight mutants I play GTA: San Andres, but I have no desire to "pop a cap in someones ass" . I Play Sims 2: University, yet I have no real interest in sitting on the floor and taking a hit off a bubble hooka or streak across campus.

Best and Worst Organised Queues
ChrisZer0 replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember when giant got my "worst" queue vote...I give credit to SFoT for getting things straightened out in that matter. I agree that someone needs to send in the PDA police into that queue though. The kids today are all about sucking the tonsils out of each others throats -
Best and Worst Organised Queues
ChrisZer0 replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
NCF, just a different way of saying the same thing. I call "lines" queues and people here give me a funny look, same with calling my cell phone a "mobile" Best: Mission Space at EPCOT. It keeps my eyes busy with all the interesting eyecandy Worst: Titan at SFOT. Summertime is the worst time to be stuck in this queue as the overflow line lacks shading ,spray misters or fans to keep you cool. -
I have switched my tuesday night watching to "The Adam Corolla Project" on TLC. Nothing like Adam Corolla and a buncha crew monkeys building a house, makes me chuckle.

Worst...series....ever..... Ive had more fun getting a root canal than watching this season. Im hoping next series of AR pays in spades. Speaking of, has anyone gone out for AR auditions?

This season reminds me of the Line Simulator in that episode of South Park, a whole lot of wait, not enough payoff in the end. Phil was in Dallas last week and promised that they "would be headed out of the US" in the next couple of eps, which could mean a quick trip to tijuana or alberta(who knows?). Also found out they have a lawyer who travels with the crew as well, in case they get in trouble with the local authorities

NEWS: Snyder's New Plans For Six Flags!!!
ChrisZer0 replied to ScOtT k's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFOT has been my home park since I was a kid. I think the main issues are three things: A) Park Asthetic B) Food Service C) Dollar Value First, The asthetic of a park, be it WDW or a Kennywood, is the key to making or breaking a day out. One reason the Disney parks are sucessful is not only because of their staff, its the fact your transported to another place, another time. SF has made some half-hearted piecemail attempts in this department over the years. With the recent ownership, who was more concerned with buying every half-assed backwoods park in places such as Pigsknuckle, Arkansas and Inbred Heights, Kentucky, they put the idea of "theming" on the back burner. Another issue along this line is filling the parks full of "cheap and easy thrills", be it a trampoline bounce, go-carts or skycoaster, which take away the "magic" a park should have. Second on my list of complaints is Food Service and Quality. One thing the SF parks have severly lagged in behind other major themepark chains is food. One can make the argurment that putting in a "brand-named resturant" in the park would boost quality, sadly, it doesnt. This is place where SF should take a page from Mrs. Knotts on this one. Open up "true-sit down" resturants, one where your order is taken by a knowledgable server who knows the resturant backwards and forwards, where the food is of high quality and decent price. This can also be translated in fast service offerings as well. Hire staff who are both professional and competent in their job, unlike the ghetto thugs SF uses for their employment base now. Also make the food on site, in real back kitchens, not just warm up a pre-made dish in the nuke. Lastly, I think its about time I get my money worth at the parks. One thing that has bothered me about SFOT,in particular, is the prices charged for admission and parking. For what the typical family pays for a summer days fun at the park, they're not getting their monies worth. The new managment team needs to start offering theme park/water park duo tickets like other park chains, in addition to selling a dual theme/water park season pass as well. Also, take a page from schlitterbahn, make a water park (such as hurricane harbor) a year round destination, by enclosing the park. This would not only attract business during the colder months, but also increase the bottom line revenue as well.
