Who's going to parks this weekend?
ChrisZer0 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Depending on how I feel, I may go and get GF and I's passed re-upped at SFOT, then maybe ride some giant and titan. -
interesting
-
Depending on the dates, we'll be staying on site at dizney (GFs never done it before),renting a car and we'll be driving everywhere (UO/IOA HHN)

^ scooter, im not talking in major states or national cases (vs big corporations or organizations) or legit CALs that have affected numerous people, im mainly referring to the majority of the penny ante cases that sit on dockets across this country(person vs person, person vs small business). In those cases, I think they should heard straight to arbitration and settle it there.

I can speak english, engrish, espanol, and L337 Also, is robb fluent in klingon?

The problem is that its become waaaaay to easy to sue people without any consequences for the plantiff party. In canada for example, they've enacted laws to penalizing people who bring about ludicrous lawsuits. if they lose, they pay the all the costs for court time and legal fees. Thats one thing we need to start doing here, the threat of paying out for being stupid will lower cases on the docket,at least, on the local and state level.

^ like the girls you'd actually see every weekend at six flags...the ones who usually look like they come from a broken home, where moms earns money dancing with a firepole at "The C-Scar Lounge" and daddy ran off with a secretary named flo who worked at the truck yard. Yep, ive seen em...damn shame really, im keeping my daughter locked up until shes 25 -

Niiiice Thank you for the quick feedback...when do yous guys usually hit the festivities out during haloween? Love to time it up and see some friendly faces at the park

Seeing that I have already scheduled out my spring and summer (camping,work,SFOT/SFFT and getting my interweb radio station off of the ground FINALLY), I decided to start planning towards some well deserved vacation fun for the fall. In particular, GF and I are looking at hitting Not So Scary (as shes an eternal 6 yr old who likes candy and furries) and HHN (as I like to be creeped out). I know quite a few of you kids, including the Rob N Elissa Show, have been countless times to these events. In particular im curious about three things(at least, to start with): A) Whens the best time to go? I know its weekend nights but what would be your advice on heading into the parks? B) GF and I decided on staying at Pop Century, anyone here have positive/negative feedback on the place? C) Car rentals, who do yous guys rent from (if you do) and have you has any major hassles. This is only a start, i'll prolly think of other questions lateron, but any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Contrary to popular belief ( and you teachers view on the US of A), not all americans are sue happy..its the case of a few rotten to the core apples (i.e ambulance chasers,cheats,republicans,ect..)perpratrating a stereotype.

Transatlantic airline food for the picky eater
ChrisZer0 replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Ask Alvey
Whenever I fly (mostly domestic), I pack a veggie friendly lunch. Most of the time its a tofurky sandwich with cheese (im ovo-lacto) and creamy dijon, packed with either carrots or a small bag of chips. I swore off eating airline food after my hawaii trip in 2004, where I got sick in flight. -
Im joking man, I dont mean it literally...just never been a big fan of AB's beer line...
-
No offense to augustus the third, but I think they should keep their hands off of old #33. Its about the only national brand out there I will drink (rock and rock light) because it doesnt taste like crap (see: budweiser line of beers). No right minded person in latrobe drinks AB products nor should anyone else in this country, I say we should take down the AB empire brick by brick and burrrrrn it!!!!

Six Flags investigating incident that injured 4 07:55 AM CST on Monday, March 13, 2006 WFAA-TV The Texas Tornado ride at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington is likely to remain closed Monday as park engineers try to determine what caused at least four people to suffer minor injuries. The Texas Tornado is described as a circular swing ride, which is suspended in the air. Six Flags released a statement that said the Texas Tornado experienced an "unexpected interruption" shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday. As the operator shut down the ride, as he was trained to do, some of the chairs came to a jolting stop, according to the company. Patrons were treated at the first aid station for minor injuries. One woman was hospitalized with back pain. Jamie Peakell, who was on the ride with her two children and niece, talked to News 8 via cellphone while she was en route to a hospital. "All of a sudden we heard a loud pop, and the swings went from OK to, basically, they collapsed," she said. "It was like bumper cars. It was horrible. ... My kids were in front of me and the swings got really, really loose. My kids were screaming [and] my niece was screaming." The Texas Tornado ride debuted at Six Flags in 1983 and was moved to its current location in the "Boomtown" section in 1989, according to ParkTimes.com, a Web site that documents the history of the theme park and its attractions. Six Flags, located midway between Dallas and Fort Worth on Interstate 30, is open daily this week to accommodate young people on spring break. Dallas Morning News staff writer Marissa Alanis contributed to this report. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Online at: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/031406dnmetsixflags.1ed3fa73.html My Take: When you dont order a complete mantienence overhaul on a swing ride, it will break down. Ive had a gut feeling this was going to happen for a very, very long time. Im wondering how the new managment will handle this situation..
