You and me both. That ride is a really good coaster during the day, and a life changing experience at night. I'll never understand the MF haters. -
I don't want to spam this thread, so I'll just give the link: 90% of these are good contenders for this thread I'm not sure how one person can turn two threads into complete disasters.

50 People! KD better start re-thinking their plans right away! But seriously, 50 people won't make any difference to KD. That's not even enough to fill two trains on Intimidator. Also, I haven't said anything about it yet, but that Pre-K pass is brilliant. -

I love seeing new log flumes being built. They are the best water rides out there. Are new log flume installations common in Europe? I know that in the US it's been nothing but removals with log flumes, but I'm not sure if that's just an American thing or a world-wide trend. -

If you go by the announcement page on the website, they are adding thrill rides, three of them. -

Yeah, they added 8 new rides to Planet Snoopy in 2013. -
B&M Restraints: Old vs. New
GCI Wooden replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
See, I don't think that you should need to do that. I like the vests because you can just sit comfortably, enjoy the things the ride is doing to you, and not have to worry about getting hit in the head by a hard restraint. No defensive riding necessary. I also like the new ones because there isn't anything blocking your peripheral view, it just feels a lot more open. -

Well, that was unexpected. So, what's going on with Hurler, then? -

Raptor has the old style restraints. He's talking about Raptor at Gardaland, the wing coaster. -

B&M Restraints: Old vs. New
GCI Wooden replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I LOVE the new vest restraints. If I could, I would put them on every ride that needs OTSR's. I feel that with the vests, B&M has made one of the best OTSR's, just like they made one of the best lap bars. I have no idea why there are still parks buying rides with the old B&M restraints (Other than the floorless conversions, because vests are wider, and clearance could be an issue). -

Don't do this. Gatekeeper's line is almost non-existent towards the end of the day. If you want to go on Valravn (Which I strongly recommend because it's an awesome ride), get to the marina gate like 15 minutes before Early Entry starts, and go directly over to Valravn. You'll be one of the first riders with minimal waiting. Then head over to Millennium and Maverick. Once the park actually opens you can either grab more rides on Maverick or head over to Top Thrill if you see it running (And if you're not riding in front you're doing it wrong). Wait until afternoon to ride Gatekeeper and Raptor. Raptor can be an hour wait in the morning, and a walk on in the afternoon. -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I think the complaining is due to the fact that we've seen places like SFGAdv run a bunch of coasters in the extreme cold, so now we are expecting other places to do the same. I think a lot of people are thinking, "If Great Adventure can run Nitro during the winter, why can't KI run Diamondback in the winter? The temperatures are about the same for both parks -

I highly doubt it. There's already tons of capital going into the park with the current announcements (Hotel Renovation, Adding on to another hotel, Water Park stuff, Sports Force park). -
What's wrong with the new vest restraints? Never experienced them. I've heard that they push down on some people's collar bones, making the ride uncomfortable for them. Personally, I love the vest restraints, and wish that every B&M could be retrofitted with them because I find them to be some of the most comfortable restraints out there. I have no idea why a park would opt for the older style restraints when given the option of the new vests (Although, vests are significantly wider than the original restraints, so it may not have been an option in the floorless conversions).

What, they have a log flume? How did I miss this? But yeah, it's easily done in one day, and it's definitely worth a visit (Cornball, Steel Hawg and the Drop Tower are worth the visit by themselves). I went in 2015 and had a great time.
