  1. People are saying that Cedar Fair dropped Intamin because they haven't installed a new Intamin since Intimidator 305 in 2010. I don't think that Cedar Fair dropped Intamin, I think they are just taking a break from Intamin and installing mainly B&M coasters.
  2. The log flume song is my new favorite song! I completely forgot about this somehow, and I'm so glad that this showed up. Robb, is it possible that we could see another log flume video? The original one has to be one of the funniest TPR videos.
  3. Oh, I just saw on VF's Facebook page that the holding brake will be on next year, if I'm interpreting it correctly. Someone commented And Valleyfair responded It seems that they are saying it'll be on next year. Also, I can't wait for vertical construction!
  4. About the Renegade POV, I kinda like the shakiness because it makes it seem more like the real thing. I like the TPR video, but I think Valleyfair's video is a better representation of the ride... Also, Valleyfair is rumored to get a new B&M Invert for 2016 or 2017. I'm hoping for something about the size of Patriot, and I am 100% sure that it's not going to be Alpengeist or Banshee sized. Valleyfair is too small for something of that size. Hopefully next year is our year for a small invert.
  5. Especially in the second picture, that is a really demented loop. It looks really painful. Actually, the entire coaster looks really painful, both of them.
  6. Granted, but all of the rides are closed. I wish I get the chance to ride Outlaw Run next year.
  7. Yay, that's good news. Also, has anyone discovered what that coaster is on VF's Twitter page (they changed the Facebook picture) is? It probably doesn't mean anything but I'm curious...
  8. That's strange that they would have the holding brake off in the POV. I'm glad that they made a POV, however, I find it strange that they would start off with a coaster that is essentially a U, not the most exiting POV... I'm hoping to see more of these to help me battle the off-season. Also, do you guys think there is a possibility of Valleyfair beginning to make videos like Cedar Point's Pointcast? It would be especially nice because now we have major construction. Just a thought.
  9. Once we get 100 responses we should tally up how many votes each park got to see which park got more votes. Currently Disney seems to have more votes, but it seems that it is a REALLY close match, interesting how this is playing out...
  10. Darn it, I have to miss Opening Day again next year. The other thing that bothers me is why they wait until mid-May to open. If VF can stay open until early November, then they should at least be able to open in mid-April. I feel your pain, a lot of people I assume will have to miss it because of work and school. I wonder why they open on a Friday instead of a Saturday? And I agree, I really wish the park would open in mid-April, then it would be open for my birthday. What is the temp in Minnesota mid April This should help http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimatology/daily/USMN0685?climoMonth=4 Mid April (April 15) average high is 60* F and November 2 average high is 51*F. If you want it in more detail you can click the link.
  11. Six Flags would remember why they sold it. What if Windseekers had a high speed drop?
  12. Not a coaster, but I had a dream that I was on a Windseeker (Cedar Point) but instead of doing the normal cycle (up slowly, spin around on top, come down slowly) it went up slowly, then dropped (like a drop tower). Then it did the normal cycle. I thought that this is actually a good idea, a Windseeker/drop tower!
  13. I don't really have a top 5 list, but here's some rides that you should definitely try. Renegade!!!! High Roller (This is actually one of my favorite rides, if you get a trim-less ride, you get PLENTY of airtime. I recommend sitting in the third row from the back (front row of the back car)) LOG CHUTE! I have a soft spot for log flumes... The ninja turtle ride at MOA (I forget what it's called) is really unique. Wild Thing, great in the back seat. Avatar Airbender at MOA Xtreme Swing Enterprise if you've never been on one before.
  14. 40! WOW! I'm assuming that he didn't do all of those in a row, because it took me a little over an hour to get 17 in. I really hope that that crew doesn't get in trouble, they were definitely the best crew I've ever had.
  15. I highly doubt they will do that next year. They actually were breaking a rule letting people stay on 17 times in a row, they could have gotten in trouble actually. The rule is let people re ride twice if there is no one waiting in line for their seat. Its fun, but the ride ops could have gotten in a decent amount of trouble. It's against a rule? Huh, I wonder why? I hope they don't get in trouble and come back next year because even if they never let us re-ride, they would still be BY FAR the best crew I've ever seen. I was really surprised by the wait times, I mean, I didn't even have to wait a cycle for Power Tower (Red), which has never happened to me before. Also, today is the last day to get season passes at the lower price.
  16. Here are those pictures... I love the entry during Haunt! This was nice. DINNER! I wonder what skeletons would be burying? Oh, in the background, you can see the Soak City construction, unfortunately, this is the only picture of Soak City I got. Renegade! This ride never gets old. (sarcastic tone) The park was PACKED today! NERD SHOT! This is beautiful! Arrow Track! Corkscrew was running marvelously, I rode it with NO headbanging! More Corkscrew Antique Antique Auto! Wild Thing, The Moon, and a scarecrow, what could be better? The ever-famous Coasters Die-in I'll leave you with one last look at that neon sign. I'm really sad to see it go.
  17. Here's the new blog entry, and it is really interesting. https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article/online-fun/Hey-Thanks It's basically the entire year in one entry. Also, the park opens on May 9, if anyone was wondering.
  18. That is the best punishment I've heard. I've never been on Mean Streak but I've heard it's really bad. I rode Renegade 17 times in a row without getting up. That's my record...
  19. It really depends on the ride op. Yesterday the crew at Renegade let me go 17 times without getting up, but last week they said "You can re-ride once, then you have to exit and walk around. I've also re-riden Power Tower because there was an empty seat. Valleyfair is a "sometimes" park, it never hurts to ask.
  20. I was there last week as well, and the person who said "You can re-ride once, then you have to walk around" was gone. He was replaced by a guy that said " If there is no one in line for your seat you can stay, if there is someone in line for your seat, move to an empty seat". It was amazing, I didn't leave the station for over an hour (I moved up to the front seat for the last ride of the season).
  21. Agreed. Just because someone is going slow gives you no right to smash into them. I really hate people sometimes. This isn't bumper cars!
  22. Central Florida. Disney World and Busch Gardens, that seems like a winner!
  23. Valleyfair is officially closed. Was anyone there last night? The crew for Renegade was amazing, they let me stay on Renegade 17 times without getting up and they were just hilarious. Did anyone else marathon Renegade last night? I'll post some pictures later.
  24. Flyers look like a lot of fun and they would fit perfectly in Route 76 area because they were here in 1976. I think that maybe the next year of "general improvements" could be the year we get flyers (I hope).
  25. I don't think that Valleyfair is getting a new coaster just because I'm in Minnesota, it's just that VF is a "growth park" according to Cedar Fair, so I think that a coaster is on the way soon. I didn't mean to cause a debate, I was just stating what I think will happen, my personal opinion. Like I said before, I would love to see a hyper GTX come to MiA. I think a new coaster should pop up at MiA in the next 5-ish years just because MiA has gone through a long time without a new coaster, and it needs something strong to draw people in.
