  1. ^Why is there a picture of Mad Mouse on the MNRV Section?
  2. I've gotta say that Valleyfair's website is getting much better. The only thing they really need to step up is that blog...it hasn't been updated in over a month! You know, I actually forgot they even had a blog.
  3. Hey guys, you know how on the Fun TV they sometimes play POV videos, well, here are the ones that they play from Valleyfair: https://www.valleyfair.com/online-fun/virtual-rides-by-gamefly
  4. Those faces look familiar... I need to try that game! It looks so awesome! Luckily there is one a Nickelodeon Universe, but I've never tried it... Yet. Does Robb have one of these things at his house? He didn't miss a single hit in that entire game!
  5. Yeah, same with how Top Thrill Dragster was the first full circuit coaster to go over 400 feet. Also, as thrillseeker4552 mentioned, not everyone gets up to the very top of the tower. And I don't think that they launch the train all the way to the top of the spike, so no one actually reaches the 215 feet. It doesn't matter how high the riders go to make it the tallest, though, it's how high the coaster is to make it count. You are correct in saying that Wicked Twister is the tallest inverted coaster, but Alpengeist is the tallest full sircuit coaster.
  6. ^Knew we should have played mini golf when we were at that park! I can't believe that these ducks are still out there.
  7. Ok, it sounds like you are asking for what the good local parks are, so I'll give you some tips. Nickelodeon is pretty good, but unless you want to do more at MOA, it is not a full day thing. Como is opening a new coaster sometime, I have been told it is a Galaxi (I don't think that anyone knows when this thing is supposed to open, but construction is happening). You could probably fit Como and Nickelodeon into one day, if you want. (If you go to Como, don't forget to watch the Sparky show if they still do it).
  8. Had an awesome day at Valleyfair today with biker6 and Hayley (Congratulations on your outstanding fundraising, by the way) ! It started off with a couple of rides on Wild Thing, then we headed to High Roller and marathoned it for an hour! I think we got 16 rides on High Roller (The chain also stopped! Yay!). After that, we headed to Wild Thing and I think we got about 16 rides in this, and it was really fun (This was the fastest hour of the day. We were very surprised when the ten minute warning came.). The lift on this also stopped... Finally, we spent an hour on Renegade! It was pretty bumpy today, but it was manageable. I think we got about 10 rides during this hour. Also, I found out that there is a train with new coushins on it, and it makes the ride A LOT more enjoyable! Overall, it was a great day! One more thing that was awesome... Team TPR raised $4,580, over half of what all Valleyfair participants raised!
  9. Yeah, I really don't see High Roller going away anytime soon. It fits in really well with Planet Snoopy (It is a lot of people's first "big" coaster), and it wouldn't free up that much space (being an out and back coaster). It's also pretty popular, it was one of the only coasters with a wait last time I was there.
  10. Viper can get a pretty big line around hurricane harbors opening and closing time, and it doesn't move the quickest (2 train operation). The flumes get extremely crowded at midday S:UF should be ridden right after Goliath due to its slow loading- the shortest it'll be is right then If you see a large line for TDK come back later- it'll be short. Same goes for Whizzer and demon Vipers line is decieving. Once you get into the station you have another 15 minute wait. There never a grouper so there's always at least 10 people in each row. I always just stop and let multiple trains pass through til I decide my row Also, I prefer back on Viper and American Eagle Absolutely wrong in my experience at Viper. It's deceivingly short line. There's always been a grouper and even with the line spilling into the midway it was only30 minutes. Yeah, Viper was deceiving short, the sign said 45 minutes, and the line looked really long, but it didn't take that long to get on. Another thing that was awesome, is that they didn't pack the station until is was completely full! My biggest complaint with the park is that there were always so many people in the station. It was crowded and confusing in all of the stations except for Goliath, Viper, and Raging Bull. Viper was a surprise, and a good one from our visit. At least the exit path isn't as long as American Eagle's entrance.
  11. Coasting for Kids is this Sunday!
  12. This is pretty much what was going through my head when I read that post.
  13. Just checked out the POV (I haven't had the chance to go to Japan, unfortunately), and I have no idea what Intamin was thinking in the creation of that. The ride looks pretty fun, though.
  14. ^Thank you! I'll try to post the next update sometime tomorrow! EDIT: Nevermind, I realized that I have a lot more pictures to sort through than I thought I did, and I have a busy weekend attending a family grad party and Coasting for Kids, so I'll have Indiana Beach up at a later date. Sorry for the delay. EDIT 2: I'm really sorry about not updating this quickly. The computer I use for trip reports is not working consistently, so I'll do it when I can.
  15. Hey everyone! We went on a trip across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. It was really awesome! The photos of Timber Falls by myself or biker6. The rest of the thread will be all my photos. Well, once I have the trip reports posted, I'll post the links to them on the front page here: Timber Falls: See Below Indiana Beach Six Flags Great America Well, we knew it was going to be a long drive if we were to go straight to the hotel on the first day, so we decided to make a stop at Timber Falls to ride Avalanche (Or is it Hellcat?). There was no one at the park. We walked onto the front seat on the coaster and were the only ones on the train. I can't imagine how crazy the coaster would be with a full train, seeing that we got pretty good airtime with only 2 people on the train. Onto photos: We didn't get many photos from this day, because we were only at the park for about 30 minutes. This thing is FAST, so it's hard to get a good picture of it. A ride does not need to be the biggest to be awesome, this is a prime example of that. You can see the lift hill in the distance, here. The ride circles around a log flume, which is practically the entire park! There is tons of airtime on this thing What exactly is a goat cone? This ride was actually really smooth, which was not expected from Wisconsin Dells. So we left Timber Falls and got to the hotel, which would be our home base throughout the trip. We saw this in the hotel elevator... Speaking of our hotel, this was the view from our hotel. Up next, Indiana Beach! The other Trip Reports are going to be longer than this one, i didn't have much time to take pictures at this park, and there wasn't much to take pictures of, either.
  16. I will be posting a full trip report later, but the summary is that it was extremely busy (After about noon, everything had a 45 - 90 minute wait.). Goliath was awesome, only had a 15 minute wait. When I y off the ride it has jumped to 90 minutes, so I only got 1 Ride. But it was awesome. Raging Bull was incredible. I got the back seat, and it was awesome. Basically, Goliath is my new favorite wood, and Raging Bull is my new favorite steel. Had a great "Six Flags" day.
  17. It also seemed to lack any sort of "action." Yeah, we were at the park today, and it seemed to not be moving when we walked by... The drop tower was INSANE! I loved this park, I'll have a PTR up sometime when I get home.
  18. I heard at Valleyfair a.couple weeks ago, "If the bar wasn't there, you would fly out". I understand that this is just describing airtime, but I think it is funny how he said it.
  19. How does Indiana Beach do in the rain? It looks like there is a high chance of scattered thunderstorms on the day we're going, so I'm seeing what we should be expecting.
  20. I remember seeing a post here that said there would be double rides on American Eagle this summer, did this turn out to be true?
  21. ^^That's really scaring me for my trip on Tuesday. Dear Six Flags Great America, On Tuesday, please don't suck. ~Josh
  22. ^^Fury, Rebel Yell, Beast, and more that I can't think of at the moment.
