  1. ^ At Dorney Park the waterpark is the main draw, so there's pretty much no lines on the dry side of the park no matter which day you go, until the waterpark closes. I don't go to the waterpark, but I've heard that the lines there can be quite long.
  2. People, the no-loose-articles policy not about phones or keys falling out of pockets. It's about idiots taking their phones out of their zippered pockets after they leave the station.
  3. The only time I was ever offered a re-ride at Dorney was on the Scrambler.
  4. ^ I know on Nitro at Great Adventure there are little yellow strips at the base of the lap-bar that need to be completely visible in order for the train to be dispatched. The restraint can lock without that yellow strip being visible.
  5. Green Lantern is a pain in the crotch, plain and simple.
  6. Don't neglect the flat rides. Parks can never have too many flat rides.
  7. Was the first Flyers op a heavyset bald man?
  8. ^ Yet another reason to get the souvenir cup.
  9. I think it was just the normal roughness of going through a bunch of tight elements. It was nothing like riding Mind Eraser at SFNE before the new trains.
  10. ^ Whenever I see someone mention a "ground up" coaster, I always picture a pile of metal shavings and/or wood chips.
  11. I did a bunch of flats. I was a single rider, so no ferris wheel. I don't do drop towers or launch towers. I didn't ride IT because I'm a bit bigger and sometimes have trouble fitting into the restraints of rides like that. I'll never forget the time I was walk-of-shamed off Revolution at Dorney. I didn't do the log flume because I didn't have any spare socks with me. (I hate walking around in wet socks.) The Flyers were fun, but nothing compared to Knoebels' Flyers.
  12. I went to Morey's Piers for the very first time today thanks to the free ticket voucher I got from ACE. Being used to the long lines at Great Adventure, I was loving the lack of lines at the Piers. The Great Nor'easter was rough but not painful, thanks to the new vest restraints. They have a metal detector at the entrance to the ride, but the nearby storage compartments are free for the first 30 minutes, so that wasn't too painful. I rode The Great White three times and it is definitely a back seat ride. Rollies Coaster was down every time I checked, so I'll have to go back to get that credit. I did ride Doo Wopper and Flitzer. I've just got to say that every park needs a Flitzer. Those coasters are just plain fun. Overall, I'd say Morey's Piers is a great seaside park.
  13. You can even pay for the l0cker with a debit or credit card, so you can't use the excuse that you don't have any cash on you.
  14. You didn't overbuy. You gave yourself an excuse to go back.
  15. I can honestly say that Dorney Park has the worst set of Flyers I've ever ridden.
  16. I really, really, really do not understand all the hate T3 gets. I rode it May of last year and quite enjoyed it, especially compared to Mind Eraser at SFNE before they got the new trains.
  17. Wouldn't the nearby airport interfere with adding a hyper?
  18. It's because of the stupid idiotic imbeciles taking their phones out of their zippered pockets after the train leaves the station.
  19. If you do the chairlift, be aware they no longer allow single riders. I was also there this past Sunday. I walked all the way down to the chairlift only to see the sign stating that the ride does not allow single riders. I actually did get a tiny bit of snapping when I rode the American Flyer, but nowhere near what I get with the Flyers at Knoebels.
  20. I know you just can't wait to ride the parks new shiny yellow looping roller coaster. If you spot some enthusiasts in the queue while waiting make sure to refer to it as a roller coaster, I hear they love that.
  21. Just remember, with Fast Track you only get to skip the line once for each of the rides that accept it. So, it's pretty much worthless.
  22. Enjoying T3 is like an oxymoron, you realize. Preach! I'm surprised anyone could get a good ride on that thing. One and done for us. One of the worst coasters I've ever ridden. I take it you've never ridden Mind Eraser at SFNE. That coaster was a one and done for me. T3 was a walk in the park compared to it.
  23. I rode T3 May of last year, and it wasn't painful at all. The only other SLC I had to compare it to was Mind Eraser at SFNE before the new trains arrived this season.
