that is really an unfair characterization. In school i was friends with most of the cheerleaders and was in the same classes as them.... you know, AP honours classes and such... so no.. i think that characterization is quite off. As far as cheer leading being a sport. It is a competition, so like any competition it could and should very easily be considered a sport. It requires athleticism and skill. It is similar in many ways to doing martial arts forms competition (something i'm personally close with) and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that that s by all means a sport. And yes, Chess is a sport.. it is a completive act that requires skill. anyone who has played a 14+hr match will also attest to the endurance of mind and body that can be needed as well.

there is no reason NOT to operate the rest of the park. Just because one ride malfunctioned does not mean the rest of the park cannot function normally. I don't worry about six flags on this... it may be some bad press... but im sure they will land on their feet.

as someone who spent a decade of my life in and around the biz, and who has had many friends in the WWE etc, and who vince has had a negative influence on thier careers because what he has done to the biz. hehe, well... it has been 13yrs.. i liked the original descent... but the current one is so... barren and empty... it looks cheap. im hoping this helps bring back the old EPCOT feel.

I am so giddy about this... It seems like they are ditching off the communications theme... which makes sense, and making it more into Horizons in a way. Kinda like a weird Hybrid of the two rides.

I definitely agree... TPR is a wonderful place with a (for the most part) open minded community... which is a good thing considering the amount of homosexual/bisexual people who are coaster/theme park enthusiasts.

After this popped up I was watching the local orlando fox station's blog and one for some of the other local news outlets watching people cry out for boycotts and the like... personally i welcome the boycotts. It was great for business last time. To add to your point robb... Homosexuality SHOULD be more socially acceptable than smoking. Homosexuality hurts no one. Smoking hurts you and the people around you. I would rather see a child with a gay parent than a child whos mother lights up while driving down the road with him. Now we just need them to allow Hobosexual marriages.
