Your favorite HUSS ride

Enterprise. No questions asked -
I'm with you on this one. I think the park is aware at this point that that coaster is going down hill. I imagine the only reason they're keeping it around is because ITS A ROLLER COASTER. The GP will still ride it, and coaster enthusiasts who are looking for the credit will ride it. I think thats why its getting hour waits(as mentioned previously in this forum). But at some point, within a few years, I'm sure the park will announce its removal. I'm sure the park staff have already been discussing whether or not they should tear it out. The only reason they're keeping it around for right now is because they have other projects to do first. They aren't going to spend money on demolishing gwazi and designing a new coaster while they are still building falcon's fury.

I think talon is a great ride which, in my opinion, still has an old-school feel to it. I also really liked hydra and steel force was great fun. It might not have the impressive collection of rides other parks sort of nearby have (Hershey, for instance) but I still enjoyed it. That's the thing, although they don't have as great of a selection of coasters, they have tons more flat rides than both great adventure and hershey. They also have three top notch water rides, two drop rides and a full water park free with admission.

The wake up call was 4am on friday morning. @ScreamHD and my other friend headed for six flags great adventure. We got there 40 minutes early and were the first people in the park. They allowed us to enter the rest of the park 10 minutes early, which was strange because I thought that only gold members could. We ran right to flash pass and got the gold level. We then went right to Nitro where there, I hit my 49th coaster! Crowds: Quiet-moderate. I couldn't believe how much more quiet it was than I was expecting. The only huge lines were Kingda Ka, Nitro, superman and green lantern. Everything else (including el toro was station waits...) Ride Count: Nitro: 3x Batman: The ride: 3x Skull Mountain: 5x The Dark Knight Coaster: 2x Sky Screamer: 1x El Toro: 4x Kingda Ka: 2x Bizarro: 3x Runnaway Mine Train: 1x Superman: Ultimate Flight: 3x Green Lantern: 1x Parachute jump ride: 1x Log Flume: 1x Safari: 1x Nitro: What a wonderful ride! I couldn't believe how far the ride rips through the woods. Great airtime, very smooth and extremely comftorable. I loved the g force in the helix. The line turned out to be an hour long, making it one of the most popular rides at the park. The airtime was more floater than ejector but still amazing nonetheless. It could really use some paint though... 10/10 Batman: The ride: Whoever says this ride is rough is a huge baby. Very smooth and easily the most forceful invert I have ridden. The ride packs a huge punch and was a phenomenal ride! I loved the theme too! Another out-shadowed ride at the park. 9/10 Kingda Ka: Horray my 50th credit (finally)! Amazing ride, the launch is unreal, so fast and thrilling. The drop was cool too. No brake downs at all for the ride which seemed like a good sign. The setting it has by sending two trains out then dropping zumanjaro really had no effect on the line. It actually worked fine. 10/10 El Toro Well obviously this was the best coaster of the trip. The night rides just iced the cake, it totally blows every other coaster I've ridden out of the water. Everything about it was amazing. We rode in the back all the times that we rode. The ride did go down twice during the day though. Sorry bizarro "You no number 1 now" 10/10 Runaway Mine Train: This old school arrow had a cool layout with a surprise drop. I liked the look of the coaster but I found it to be somewhat bumpy. We sat in the back seat and found it enjoyable. One and done though. 7/10 Skull Mountain: I loved this ride! Best theming that I've seen at a six flags park so far. The ride was a total shock, the drop blew us away and the whole ride was fast and fun. One of the biggest surprises of the trip. It's pitch black inside and hardcore heavy metal music blasts while you ride. We loved it! 10/10 Dark Knight Coaster: What the hell people? Stop bagging on this ride, it was ten times better than a regular wild mouse. The turns didn't hurt, the theming was top notch and there was individual lap bars. We all really enjoyed the ride. 7/10 Superman: Great ride. The pretzel loop was the best loop of the trip. I loved the feeling of flying on this ride, the line was crazy all day so we rode it later on. It actually was our last ride of the night. I really liked everything about this ride, I just wish it was longer. 8.5/10 Green Lantern: Okay, I really didn't find this ride bad. Although the stand up thing was awkward and uncomfortable, I loved the layout of the ride. There was no head banging. The ride would be much better if they made it a sit down, floor coaster. I try to find the best in coaster and this one was easy to find good. It was still at the bottom of my coaster list on the trip but I think Thunderhawk takes the cake for the worst. But none these coasters were bad, I enjoyed them all. 6/10 Bizarro: Another underdog coaster. Bit of a hike to get to but it was well worth it. The ride was very long and it has some great momnets, the zero-g roll, the helix after the MCBR and the dive loop really stood out to me. I loved the ride and I think it would be more appreciated if it was at a smaller park. Hydra was a step up though. 8/10 Log flume: Great flume, though I found dorney's to be better. The same company that made this made the rocky point flume ride, so I thought that was cool. Got pretty wet but the guy put one too many people in the log. 8/10 Safari: Great ride, very impressive amount of land and animals they have back there. I liked the effort they put into the ride, but the line was insanely long. Even using the flash pass, we were in line for a good 20-25 minutes. 10/10 Sky Screamer: Fun ride with awesome music. They were playing ACDC! I loved the look of the ride and I thought that it was placed in a perfect spot, I wouldn't wait in line for it though. 7/10 Parachute jumpers: Very cool ride with great views, very unique too. I loved the views you got uptop, even the like drop going down was enjoyable, just a nice, relaxing ride. 9/10 Twister was closed all day and it didn't look like it was opening anytime soon. The park was surprising clean with a lot of charm in areas. We walked up to Zumanjaro but the damn ride closed in front of us because the line was too big, it was about 830 when we tried. I really enjoyed the park and will be back soon. Hopefully in the fall.

Steel Force was not forceless. Awesome airtime and great force on the turn around, I loved it! Stinger was fully intact. Don't believe those rumors. The train was being worked on in the station and the fun tv's were on for some reason in the queues. I herd it is going to be up soon bu the possessed crew.

I can't believe how underrated this park is. Honestly, it's on my top 3 favorite parks. I went to sfgadv and dorney with two of my friends, one being @ScreamHD We had an awesome time!! Crowds: Moderate (dry park) Heavy (WWK) Ride Count and Reviews: Steel Force: 8x Possessed: 5x Hydra: The Revenge: 5x Talon: Grip of FEAR: 5x Wild Mouse: 1x Thunderhawk: 1x Demon Drop: 6x Dominator: 1x Apollo: 1x Enterprise: 1x Whip: 1x Monster: 2x White Water Landing: 2x Thunder Creek Mountain: 1x Screamin' Swing: 1x Thunder Canyon: 1x Wild Water Landing Constrictor: 1x Lightning Falls: 1x Boa Blaster: 2x Aqua Blast: 2x Aqua Racers: 2x Steel Force: We started on day of on steel force. The ride is excellent. Extremely smooth, awesome airtime, forcefull turn around and very comfortable trains. The ride had amazing operations, as did the rest of the rides. I really find this ride under-appreciated. I think I will take this over Nitro, I found that as I rode it more, the more I liked it. 10/10 Hydra: The Revenge: Another ride that I found better after every ride. A step up from Bizarro at SFGAdv and worlds away from Batman: The Dark Knight. The jojo roll is great but I found the over banked turn and first drop to be the best part. The jojo roll was awesome though. The only thing I could complain about was the run out before the corkscrew and after the cobra roll. I loved the ride nonetheless. Very smooth too. 8.5/10 Talon: Grip of Fear I LOVED this ride. My personal favorite ride at the park. The ride was forceful, fast, thrilling and extremely smooth. This ride kicks all sorts of ass! I really don't know what else to say but Amazing. 10/10 Possessed: Very good ride. I loved the launches and the brake at the top. Exhilarating and fun, I wish we had more of them! The one thing I do have to say is that it was too short. The ride only goes up 3 times, 2 or 3 more times up would satisfy more. 8.5/10 Wild Mouse: Typical wild mouse. Wasn't anything to write home about but fun nonetheless. 6/10 Thunderhawk: It was okay. Very rough but I admire it's history and it's great layout. For a 90+ year old coaster, I respect it. The ride could really use a good revamp though. 6.5/10 Monster: One of my favorite flat rides. I couldn't stop spinning! I really loved the classic style of the park, this was a great example. 10/10 Whip: Speaking of classics, this ride was much better than I expected. Really fun and exciting. I'm sure a lot of enthusiasts don't even realize how historic the park is. 10/10 Apollo: Awesome flat ride. Didn't realize how thrilling it would be, I also love how unique it is to the park. It's a centerpiece to the hillside area of the park! 9.5/10 Enterprise: The only disappointment of the day. Very short program and it doesn't even go upside down. 7/10 Meteor: Better than time warp, great ride and it was very comfortable. 9/10 Demon Drop: Another favorite of mine!!! The drop is amazing! My favorite drop tower so far, plus it is the last one around! 10/10 Dominator: Same old s&s tower. Launch was pretty weak but the view was spectacular. 7/10 Crowds: Busier than I expected, the water park was insane, way too many people. We had the fast lane plus so we skipped the water slide lines. Talon, Hydra, Steel Force and Hydra were the bigggest lines of the day between 30-45 minutes. Hang Time, Apollo, Meteor, Wave Swinger and Revolution seemed to be their most popular flats. All three water rides in the dry park had lines between 15-50 minutes long. (another great benefit to fast lane) Operations: This park HATES lines lol. They have the best operations that I have ever seen. Their was a 20 minute line for steel force and they ended up putting the third train on! Talon has the absolute best operations, they dispatch crazy quick, once the train hits the brakes, the other train dispatches. The park is also much nicer than six flags. They use big cubies for every ride! Every ride and area locks top notch and NOTHING brakes down. Were as Nitro, EL Toro, batman, green lantern, log flume and sky screamer broke down the day before. The park is beautiful. It is located in a hilly area with valleys and trees. The park is also as clean as could be. I truly loved the feel of Dorney. The rules are not shoved down your ears like six flags. They really don't care about video tapping rides. The only thing they enforce is taking pictures of the on ride photos, lol. Wild Water Kingdom: I loved the slides! Very fun but very busy. The lines were insane for the regular queues. Aqua Racer was awesome but I'll take LC's and Funtown's over it. 7/10 Aquablast was the best rapids slide I've been on. The slide is extremely long. 10/10 Snakepit is an amazing slide tower. 10/10 The two tube slides had amazing drops and the drop box was fun. The constrictor slide was a total gimmick though. I couldn't tell weather I was in the small or big part of the slide. But it was an insanely long slide! 9/10 The gift shop was actually really cheap. I got two posters for two dollars each! T-shirts were 13 dollars and my magnet was 3 dollars. Not bad! Food was a step up from six flags. Went to that 60's diner in the front of the park. The park was so picturesque, especially when the lights turned on! My photos are on the way! I will be back soon! The park is amazing, if you have not been, make a trip. The park is not appreciated enough and actually bigger than I expected.

Buzz Bars (Questions/Opinions/Rants)
ScreaminNewEngland replied to GigaG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Buzz bars are the best!! Yankee Cannonball has them and it wakes the ride awesome. Great air which basically lets you stand up on good days. Wildcat at LC also has them...but not for long. -
