  1. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe the boats won't flood now!
  2. Wow, the park's looking fantastic! Anyone know the status of Jetstream/Arrowhead Splashdown? I saw some pictures of it with part of it's final drop missing. Is it being removed or refurbished?
  3. Great, out of all the times I have auditioned, I have never even made it to see the judges. The producers must have put the Acer through cause he was soooooooo bad. I was wondering has anyone else on TPR auditioned? I think the wrong enthusiast made it.
  4. Ok, as far as an opinion goes on DLP's Space Mountain I can only say that from the videos I've seen, the level of detail was even greater when the ride was De la Terre à la Lune. I've also heard that from numerous enthusiasts as well. Some even argue that Mission 2 was a downgrade. The original Space Mountain in my opinion needs a serious upgrade. It needs it the most out of all of them. When I went on it for the first time this summer I was shocked at how rough it was and how outdated the effects are in the dome. It is also much too bright in there for my liking. You can see where you're going and having the station open to the main part of the ride really kinda ruins the whole flying through space feeling. But rumors are that it will get an upgrade soon, I'm hoping for more of a difference than what Disneyland got when they refurbed their Space Mountain. I'm sure to the GP it seems like the exact same ride.
  5. From what I recall this slide was a lot more intense than I expected. I think it turns left into a little helix of death, then zig zags right, left and then it drops into the pool. It's really a fun slide. Just looks a lot gentler than it really is. Heck I rode every adult slide at Typhoon Lagoon and I really liked this one better than all of them!
  6. Could anyone share what it was like to ride one of these things? I almost got to go on one a few years back, my Dad even offered to pay for it but I chickened out at the last minute.
  7. I like that idea, they could paint it blue with white supports, and at the end an uphill incline section that you coast down backwards to a stop. Like the Patriot at Wild Rivers. Of course I guess that would be more appropriate if it replaced one of the Flashbacks that are Vekoma Boomerangs.
  8. Ipod Original Ipod Stereo System Best & Worst of American Idol(Makes me feel like crap cause I didn't even make it as far as William Hung and those other demented people who think they can sing but they really can't) Bunch of Money South Park boxers Gift Cards to: Westfield Shoppingtown, Regal Cinemas, Itunes, Mastercard Gift Card, Best Buy Velvet Bathrobe Trip to DLR next week with my girlfriend!
  9. My home park is Knotts. I guess it would have to be Ghostrider.
  10. You think that where Flashback stood, a new, maybe more compact version of Deluge could be built ?
  11. Doesn't this at least partially violate some kind of international copyright law?
  12. Mine has to be California Screamin' in the rain. It was pouring and the rain felt like rocks were being chucked at my head. I ducked, which for some reason totally screwed up my neck. I will never, ever go on a coaster in the rain again.
  13. Now I never thought I would ask for medical advice on a TPR forum before. But Kaiser has pretty much given up on me and I was wondering whether or not any of my fellow enthusiasts have had some similar experiences to maybe shed some light on what is wrong with me. Ok so since May, I have had several new health problems developing. First I just started fainting randomly in what I guess you could call "episodes". I would lose my sight and then BAM! I'd be out. My balance would be off for a few days and then I would get better until my next "episode". However, since then my symptoms have gotten alot more severe. My episodes have begun happening so frequently that they happen several times a day. During them, I now shake and spasm like I'm having a seizure, I have extreme trouble breathing, my pulse goes out of whack, I suffer extreme memory loss and I get nauseous. Even when I'm not having an "episode", I can barely walk and I find it very difficult to breathe. I've been coughing up blood too. Now I have had numerous medical tests, for all types of Cancer and Leukimia, for Epilepsy, several full-body scans, numerous blood tests. Out of all those things the only thing that came out was that I had Mono six months ago. Totally irrelevant. So Kaiser is convinced that it is an anxiety disorder and my parents are trying to force me on Anti-Deppresants. I really don't think that it is possible that this is just Anxiety and I really want to know what is wrong with me. Any suggestions would really help.
  14. ^ No, this remodel has been in the works since '05. I just wish they would utilize the terrain for a coaster. The one concerning thing is that the park has had a serious drop in attendance since the fires. Apparantly some people think the park is gone and this simply isn't true. 600 acres of the park burned, but only one structure was lost. Two animals died. But it could've been alot worse.
  15. Now I work at the park. Here's the scoop on the renovation. 1. This is a twenty year master plan of the remake of the WAP. 2. The park will evntually be divided into three different areas: Africa, Asia and The Americas. 3. You will enter these massive lands through three different "Portals" 4. More rides are coming! 5. The park will become more accessible. (The Great Rift Lift, a unique elevator/observation tower-thingy opens during the festival of lights, connecting the upper half and the lower half of the park without the long walk up the hill.) 6. The park will still be very educationally focused. 7. A hotel is possibly in the works. 8. The current parking lot will eventually become part of the park. With a new lot being built across the street. Remember, don't expect to see this happen tomorrow!
  16. I really hope they enclose the stations from the rest of the ride. I think it makes it too bright in the main part of the ride. I could see everywhere I was going on SM. Not spacey enough like DL's in my opinion. I wouldn't mind a completely different lay out. Heck it would be great to have one track, two lifts and a much better ending than a brake run in the main room. (I know this ain't going to happen.) They could reuse one side of the loading dock and free up the space used by one of the current loading and unloading docks. To make up the lost amount of que close down the arcade and make some new, really cool sections out of it for the que.
  17. Well I got back from evacuating to Pechanga on Thursday. My house is fine, but when the fire came and I was still there, flames were surrounding us. One minute, it was just a little glow, the next, flames were racing down the mountainside and came up around my family on three sides. The Witch Fire burnt within maybe 100 feet of my house. In the San Pasqual Valley below my house a couple became trapped because the fire engulfed their street in mere seconds. Unfortunately the couple didn't survive. Anyone else come close? BTW: The Witch Fire at it's fastest moved seven MILES in fifteen minutes. Almost thirty miles per hour.
  18. We have the Witch Creek Fire coming at us right now. It's ok though this isn't the first time my home was thretened by a fire My advice to everyone is: Don't ignore those evacuation orders! Alot of people died that way a few years ago. If your not a firefighter and a firefighter is telling you to get out, get out! They probably know how dangerous the fire is more than you!
  19. Personally, I just think that Disney is going to reach a point where the price of the tickets starts to cause the attendance to drop. $71 for one park! It's probably too much for a large amount of Americans right now. It's eventually going to start to scare some guests away, so what will happen then? A price DROP? Besides, these days Universal is kicking the crap out of Disney in terms of themeing and rides. (Thats just my opinion) Yet you don't see them jacking up prices constantly like the mouse is. I don't see alot of guests happily dropping seventy-one bucks for a day at MGM or Animal Kingdom.
  20. I lost my "loop virginity" on Windjammer Not a good choice, but that was over ten years ago, so I've gone on many more coasters with inversions since. I also concur that California Screamin' would be the perfect coaster for your first loop.
  21. Okay, so now we've changed our minds and are going to KBF, what are some good spots there for her to recieve the promise ring? I was thinking the waterfall by Mystery Lodge. But I'm not really sure.
  22. But I've decided to do it on the Skytower, since the Samurai Summit gardens were destroyed. Thanks for all of your input
  23. Any ideas on how to present it to her?
  24. Well thank you everyone for your input
